Bailey and the Professor

Rate this book
Bailey’s graduate science classes are much harder than she expected them to be, and strict, young Professor Jacobs, in particular, seems out to get her, finding minute mistakes in her work, making her re-do assignments she’s already meticulously completed. When he forces her to start staying late in the lab, Bailey complains to her roommate that she’s about ready to quit school altogether, but what she doesn’t know is that her stern professor has a carnal lesson he’s waiting to teach her. 22-year old girl lusts after her hot chemistry professor, they help another student to give birth in a school bathroom, they get jiggy.
Definitely the weirdest teacher-student affair plot I've read to date. The sex scene (note- singular) is hot, vintage Selena Kitt, but I'd have liked a bit more build up between them. And the whole bonding over a birth scene was a bit too much for me - their eyes meeting as they're both knee deep in amniotic fluid...just, no.
Still, the writing quality is good. Not one of my favourites from this author I'm afraid.

Wow! This was a hot, steamy read with comedic undertones and a good bit of nursing terminology interlaced, as the female lead is studying to become a nurse midwife. Short and sweet story!

Epic Win ~ Dreams Do Come True

Any story that starts with the words "Epic fail" immediately has my attention. I was in love with Bailey from the opening line to the closing. She's a young woman who isn't a brainless, sex-starved vixen, yet she's no frigid man-hater either. Bailey is twenty-three, studying Chemistry only because it's a prerequisite for her chosen career, and knows she's not going to pass Professor Dominic 'Dom' Jacobs' class since math is her nemesis.

Some people don't do numbers. I get that. I can definitely say that a simple question came into play in this one which anyone should be able to pick up on: hot teacher + eager student = incredibly sexy, fun read.

So much story happened in this short piece! I am always in awe of how fully-realized all of Selena Kitt's characters are and those featured in Bailey and the Professor are no exception. Bailey wants to be a midwife; I wanted to see her succeed as much or more than I wanted to see her cleavage-baring shirts pay off in an attempt to attract attention from Professor Dom. Dom himself is caring, kind, and demanding in a way that isn't overbearing which I found refreshing. There's a lot more to a power play than someone barks orders while someone else scrambles to obey.

I think Selena Kitt did a great job of showcasing that in this short.

It's definitely worth a read. I'm really glad that I got the chance to get a glimpse into Bailey and Dom's happy-ever-after. It really did make me think there was always a way to make sure that one's dreams do come true in spite of whatever obstacles might seem to be there to block one's path.

Five stars from me for a great read filled with great characters!

I think I should start off by stating that I'm not a huge fan of short stories. I thought it was a novella, since reviews were stating such. Novella's are at least 100 pages, 67 pages does not equal a novella. End of rant. Anyways, I find short stories too short (go figure). I like plots, scenes and characters to be completely fleshed out and developed, and rarely (not saying never) but rarely do I feel that it happens in short stories.

Bailey was pretty well developed, character-wise. She's in grad school to get a nursing certificate (?) to become a midwife and is failing chemistry. Kinda odd that chemistry would be something she would take in graduate school, I feel like you'd try to kick that out of the way in undergrad...but then again, I'm not a nurse. And when I say failing, I mean she's getting a 7 percent on a major test despite tutoring, getting help from the professor and studying for hours. I have failed tests after studying, I'm an AWFUL test taker. I can't quite emphasize how awful of a test taker I am. But 7 percent? Considering there are only 2 tests through out the semester and that's their main grade, I'm assuming that is one long-ass-test. So she got maybe half a question correct? After all the help she got? I find that incredibly far-fetched. Yes, I totally know and experienced failing tests after hard work (especially in Chemistry, that subject and I did NOT get along). But 7 percent?

After Bailey finds out she failed her test and the reader is given a few details about how hot her professor is and how all the girls (Bailey included) wears short skirts and tight sweaters to class to maybe get his attention,
The story suddenly ends. Very abrupt, it felt like it should have been a novella (a real one, folks), maybe a novel, but the author was like, "Eh...nah, sick of this story. Done."

The sex scene, the one sex scene (I was expecting more), is lackluster and a bit boring. Nothing special. I don't remember it much (it's the morning after I read it). I remember wondering if the hotter sex scenes were coming in later...but nope.

So, long review short, pretty good writing (better than I expected), shorter than I expected, abrupt ending and average-run-of-the-mill sex scene. Pass.

Selena did it again. I haven't read anything by her that I haven't just been sucked into. No pun intended on the sucking part. Lol
Everyone can relate to at least part of this story. There must be some nation wide quota that schools have to have at least one young, hot teacher. There was one for me and he coached soccer too. Good Lord, he could have been teaching the hardest subject ever and I still would have joined his class. Believe me I was thinking about something hard.
Anyways, I wasn't fortune enough to sleep with him buti wouldn't have said no.
Selena did great with character development. For once it wasn't two strangers, one meek girl and one billionaire, getting together. Dom and Bailey are two regular people. One with a passion and the other with the ability to help. Drawn together by an intense situation that just brought them closer.
I loved it! Read it!!!!

Bailey, with a burning desire to be a midwife, is having a big problem in chemistry class. She has no problem in any other class, but the math in chemistry is getting the best of her and with her score on the test she is ready to throw in the towel. But the opportunity to deliver a baby in the restroom gives her the opening that she needs to get to the professor. She has been interested but he seems to overlook her and tries to help her as much as the other students. But the ice is broken in that restroom and the sparks begin to fly as his desire for grows and he understands what she wants to do with her life. This all leads to a very well written love scene in his apartment once he comes up with a solution to her problem with chemistry. As Bailey states that evening "that was chemistry". Very erotic and interesting story.

While in Professor Dominic's class Bailey fantasy's about the teacher that every girl wears their skirt a little smaller for. Bailey however knows that she need more than Dom's good looks to get her by with this problem. She knows without a doubt she can't pass chemistry and it is a required class to be able to help assist in live births. She wants to do more than be a dula she wants to be the woman to catch the baby as it arrives in this world. She has tried everything even in high school her father hired a private tutor for her but she still could not get the concepts. Professor Dominic has another solution for Bailey and it is also one that will get her out of his class so that he can finally have his wicked way with her. This is a great story about going after what you want in life and not stopping until all your goals are met. I would recommend this book

Selena Kitt knocks another one out of the ballpark with "Bailey and the Professor". This story very quickly engages you, and like all Selena's stories, you feel like you are right there, part of the action. Or at least like a fly on the wall, watching it all unfold. This story brought back fond memories of my Chemistry class in college where I had one of my first hook-ups with another chemistry student. The depth of technical knowledge Selena uses in the story lends an air of genuineness. And of course, the sex...the raw urgency of the two lovers is very realistic and will get your pulse racing as every Selena story does!

HOT FOR TEACHER!!! As always, Selena writes an amazing story. Long or short. Bailey wants to be a nurse mid-wife but cant do so without the chemistry class. Prof Jacobs is the chemistry prof who has tried to help her all along. When it goes from bad to worse and finally a grade of 7% on a test he lets her know it is basically over. But when they give birth in the bathroom something happens and he finds a way to one stop being her teacher and two, being her lover. Smoking hot lovers to be certain. OMG short and sweet and to the point. LOVED IT.

Nice, short, kinda sweet and anticipatory hotness - just perfect!

This is a story about the attraction and not the relationship. These two do the dance around each other, and while it is a novella, it is complete and doesn't feel that way, and we get them together at the end, but it is the build up and figuring out that takes up the story - and it is read!

I've read and loved all the Selena Kitt ebooks I managed to own but this one is a first of hers I nearly DNF. The writing is smooth as ever but the storyline moves too slow and I lost all interest after the washroom scene. For a short story it seemed to drag on forever for the usual 'coupling' to occur.

Bailey´s got dreams for her future, a future that Professor Jacob and his chemistry is about to set a stop for. What is it he wants when she receives the note to stay after class, and could she do it?
Quick read, smut and a Professor who sees more than he lets on.
