3.5 stars..it would have been 4 if I had had the entire story..
Poor Shay decided to introduce her naive self to the delights of BDSM, having secretly relished the idea for a long time. Entered a club on her lonesome, and then found herself being painfully flogged by an irresponsible Dom. Lucas aaah Lucas saved her, and then requested she spend the weekend with him getting an insight into the lifestyle she craved. Lucas being a british boy (Oiy!) took her to Londinium for the weekend, where they had big fun...They then meet someone that catches her eye...
...and we are on to the next one..which I will get...but out of protest...later!

Shay's first foray into BDSM lands her strapped to a spanking bench with a sadistic dom and gets rescued persay by a mysterious gorgous man who later is identified as Lucas.
She agrees to spend the weekend with him and obey everything he says. And the weekend is all she gets, but man does she get a quick lesson.
Spanking, anal, orgasm control, plugs, crops and a scene with a saint andrews cross.
It was okay. I enjoyed it but didn't find myself liking Lucas. If I didn't get to read his POV and only saw him through Shay's eye I would think he had issues with his hot/cold crap going on. Other than that I had issues with the lack of talk about safe sex or failure to use protection. They did say safe, sane, concentual but still something that could have maybe taken up a line or two. Besides that Shay is either too trusting or stupid to agree to a whole weekend with Lucas after only meeting him once for a very very short time after her first dip into BDSM. Many people can't be trusted and after what happened with sadistic A hole with the flogger you'd think she would be a little more apprehensive.
But I digress, it's fiction and ya da ya da so enjoy it for what it is.

Great steamy story! After a not so good experience at a fetish club Shay finds herself in the arms of Lucas, a sexy dom! He's gorgeous and mysterious and best of he wants her to be his sub for the weekend! Shay is torn by her reactions and herbneed to submit to him! Things get complicated when they discover they are going to be working together. Shay and Lucas both feel something more than a dom/sub relationship, yet Lucas fights his feelings and treats Shay with stark coldness!! If thats not enough, Jonathan his business partner is also drawn to Shay!! I do have to say there are some very steamt scenes!! On to the next book!

I very much enjoyed this read. If you like 50 Shades of Grey and the Crossfire series then you should check this book out. The beginning had me tiptoeing though thinking this is another bandwagon Christian Grey read…and that is a pretty true statement, but the ending completely hooked me. I will be purchasing book 2 ASAP.

He had promised her a weekend, and that was what she had gotten.
It's a very short story but it leaves you wanting to know what's next. And for me, when a story entangles you enough to leave you wanting, it's a good one.
It's a very direct story. No slow pace at all.

Potentially a good story, I need book two to decide as this was a too short.
On the detail side I didn't really like the authors style of writing. It was (for me) a little distracting from the story.

This is quite unique with them meeting at a fetish club or is it a BDSM club. Hmm I was very engrossed with the beginning because I thought it was admirable that Lucas rescue her from an match made in pain.

This book is very similar to 50 shades of gray and does have a great cliff hanger........can't wait until I read the next one.........
