I enjoyed this trilogy. The story of two brothers, treated as slaves by their step-brother. Escaping to America on an indentured slave ship, Their new owner, becomes their savior & father; giving them their freedom and acres to begin their own homestead. On their father's death bed they are asked to marry their twin physic cousins. Falling in love with the twins, they struggle with Indians, war, and attacks on the family. Worth the read if you love southern fiction.

Life in the 1640s was interesting. The laws were so different as well as society. Not a bad read.
