Why Chase chose to look up as he crossed the street is unknown, but based on what he saw, he could die there and then and be happy.
He nearly does.
Victoria, a struggling artist, feels a terrible guilt at Chase’s misfortune and seeks to remedy it. Along the way she finds her muse, her Adonis, and the person who will help her achieve her goal of putting on a show.
It’s a contemporary erotic tale about an unexpected encounter that matches two people who didn’t know they needed each other so much. Complete with art, craftsmanship, groceries, and an old refrigerator.
Xavier Edwards (it might be his real name, no one is really sure) has spent his life surrounded by women, and writing. Growing up in rural Australia before the age of the Internet and cable television, there was no better refuge than in books. Any and all genres were absorbed as he and his three sisters grew up far from the hectic pace of the big smoke. The wide expanse of open country and natural beauty have carried across to his writing, forming evocative backdrops to the sensual dance taking place in his stories.
After leaving school, Xavier joined the military and has served with honour in the Air Force, from leading brave men and women into combat to searching for, and finding, people lost at sea. Joining him on this journey has been his wife, three daughters, and two cats.
Behind it all, Xavier continued to write. Freelance journalism proved lucrative and gave him his first taste of a readership that found his writing engaging and evocative. The imagery that continued to dance through his mind, would not suit this audience and when he did write it down and gave it to a small, trusted circle of readers, it had amazing results. Quite by accident, he had discovered a knack for Erotica.
When fate calls, sometimes you just have to follow your instincts and take the plunge into the unknown.
While locking eyes with a naked beauty perched her apartment window, Chase blindly steps into the path of on coming traffic and nearly gets killed in the process. When the nymph-like woman invites him into her life, the near death experience is almost worth the reward.
THE NYMPH’S MUSE is a hot but short erotic story. It moved a little quick for my liking, but I enjoyed it nonetheless.

I really liked this one. It was a sweet story of an artist and the man who became her muse. Victoria likes to draw in the nude. She sits in her window, above the hubbub of the street below, and never really considers that anyone could see her. But one day, something makes Chase look up and, dumbfounded, he steps into traffic and gets hurt. Victoria sees it all, and goes out to help him, and once he looks at her, she knows he did actually see her. She invites him into her place to wait for medical assistance. And sparks fly, but then she doesn't hear from him for a while. He eventually returns, and she talks him into posing nude for her... while she's drawing in the nude. And what comes naturally happens.
It was a very unconventional meeting, but it worked for them. And their beginning were odd, but sweet. And their interactions were very sensual. Not super *steamy*, but very, very sensual.
I enjoyed this quick erotic romantic story. Chase meets Victoria when he gets hit by courier crossing the street. Of course the whole reason he got hit was because he was busy staring at her naked body rather than watching where he's walking.
They quickly feel an attraction for each other set out to have some really hot and inspirational sex!
I enjoyed the story, however it went very quickly for me. I would have liked it have been drawn out a little bit more.
Another delight from Xavier Edwards. I loved the imagery of Victoria in her studio, sketching in the nude and distracting Chase as he tried to cross the busy road.
This is a sexy and gentle short story, ideal for reading on a dull grey day when you need a dose of sunshine. Beautifully crafted, this is a divine read from someone who is rapidly becoming a Must Read for me :-) 4 gleaming stars
3 1/2 stars - Overall I enjoyed this story and found the artist theme very well done. Xavier painted a beautiful picture of Victoria (no pun intended, lol) and Chase. I found some of the 'hot scenes' a tad rushed, but realise there is only so much that can be put into a short story!
I have enjoyed all the books I have read, so far, by Xavier and certainly intend to read more.
A truly artistic read-literally. The art scenes were well done and sensual. The idea of the story is a good one, it was just too rushed. I would have liked a little more character development. Still, a good SHORT read.
Very nice short with all the smut required that I could not put it down! Strange how fate has a way of bringing people together! Keep 'em coming Xavier.
