***** At thirty-two years of age Max Tobar has a successful career and is more than ready to settle down and produce for his Aunt Lola the ‘grandchildren’ she so desperately wants. When he falls for his beautiful co-worker Max believes he’s found ‘the one’ but soon her insecurities surface threatening to destroy their relationship.
Trapped in an abusive, loveless marriage, Libby Estes separates from her husband and files for divorce. While working to rebuild her life her handsome colleague, Max, sweeps her off her feet. Fear and self-preservation, however, soon kick in and Libby severs ties with Max. Will Libby allow love back into her life and make amends with Max?
Fist and foremost the title pulled me in. The plot is real world and messy like life is but there is a light at the end of the thorny tunnel for Libby and Max but not without fighting for it. At times you want to knock some sense into Libby but sometimes in life we’re irrational and working off of the fumes of previous hurts. Libby is no different. The path to their HEA is muddled with misunderstandings and presumptions but in the end, love wins. Buckle in for a bumpy ride.
89pgs, Affairs and Divorce, When Libby Estes learns that her husband is having an affair with her good friend Libby is shocked. Devastated by the news of her husband 19s deception she seeks comfort in the arms of her handsome and caring co-worker, Max Tobar. Now in divorce proceedings, Libby is much too preoccupied with legal woes to contemplate any romantic involvement and is quick to push Max away, except that Max is not willing to back down as easily this time around.
