This book was a great thriller. The plot was thick, the storyline full of action. But, the ending was awful! It just stopped. It's not a cliffhanger, it's just an abrupt stop, as if the rest ofthe story was forgotten. I feel that it was a waste to read this! I spent all this time on a thrilling story for there to be no ending, no tie up of it, nothing.
This book needs an editor; one that knows the difference between "then" and "than", how to spell "español" and "aquí", the difference between "esta" and "está". "they" and "there", "scrapping" and "scraping", "you're" and "your". Those errors should have been caught by any proofreader. Editing errors include getting a glass from the bathroom, followed by drinking out of a bottle, followed by breaking the glass to use it to cut duct tape; having a full moon light up phosphorus; having robbers rob a bank after they crashed their car and put themselves out of the robbing business; and unrealistic descriptions of the aircraft after the bomb went off.
The plot, although a bit ragged, was full of action... never a dull moment. I enjoyed the book, too bad it is not ready for prime time.
This was a fast moving page turner - lots of action - but a very disappointing ending. Did the author deliberately end so suddenly to entice one to read the next in a series or did he have trouble thinking of a plausible finish? I kept trying to turn the page , but it was the last page.

Oh, this could have been a really good book. It had all the makings. It was fast-paced and exciting. It took place in exotic locations. There were twists and turns. And then... the book just stopped. It felt like the author got bored with it and while you could say there was an ending it reminded me of the story of The Lady or the Tiger. We do not find out if the bad guys get caught. There is absolutely no wrap up. If I had known then what I know now I would not have read the book even though I got it for free. The only reason it got 3 stars is because up to the ending it was a good book.
This book had so many missed opportunities. I thought there would be a sequel. For all the build up, there was so much left unresolved between two of the major characters. Several grammatical errors, including the "you're" when it should be "your". I can't imagine that authors don't realize how this takes away from the story. Good storyline - sorry ending.
Not a bad thriller. Not a great thriller but certainly not bad. The ending was not to my liking. I would have liked to know more of what happened to the main characters. Left it all hanging. Maybe there was another book planned. Anyway, it kept up a decent pace. I can be gotten cheap so it is worth reading at that price.
Ridiculous ending. I thought surely there was a sequel, but after looking through Douglas's list of books, I could not find anything that suggested it might tie up all the loose ends in this one. I won't bother reading another of his books.
