J.B. McGee is a mother, wife, and the Amazon Top 100 author of the best selling This Series. Amazon Crossing acquired the German rights to her debut novel, Broken. Heartfall, her coming of age novel about a bullied ballerina, is a #1 best seller in the Teen and Young Adult Performing Arts genre. Skipping Stones, a military romance about a young woman strongly influenced by her faith and her family all the while searching for her true love, is a #1 best seller in Women's Christian Fiction.

When J.B.'s not writing, she enjoys reading as well as watching and live-chatting her favorite television shows with her friends. Her favorite shows are Quantico, Blindspot, Grey’s Anatomy, The Bachelor/Bachelorette, Below Deck, The Vampire Diaries, The Originals, and Scandal (mainly because of her love of Scott Foley).

Born and raised in Aiken, South Carolina, she attended Converse College and eventually earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Early Childhood Education from The University of South Carolina-Aiken in 2006.

In college, she was told by her children’s literature professor she would be the one student from her class to be an author. McGee shook her head and laughed. But in 2012, over six years after that statement was made and after a love of reading had been reignited, she gave writing a shot. J.B. gladly ate crow when she emailed her first book to the above mentioned children’s literature professor thanking her and acknowledging the accuracy of her prophecy.

In 2011, it was discovered that not only do both of her children, but also she and her husband, have mitochondrial disease. Affecting 1 in 2500 people, it has no cure or treatments. Being a writer allows J.B. to care for her family’s unique needs while also providing a platform for raising awareness for this disease.

She is a hopeless romantic who loves to escape into fairy tales—some she reads and some she creates.

J.B. McGee and her family now reside in Buford, Georgia.

Where to even start....the first thing is be prepared for this book to knock your socks off! It starts out right away with a bang and about 11% in I was chewing my nails and having some major book anxiety! I love when a book does that to me! I never seen half the things coming and I love the element of surprise! I could not put it down....5 stars!

Mending starts right off with the continuation of Gabby and Bradley's story, it also takes us back in the past so we see their relationship develop. They are in a committed relationship and Gabby is trying to work through her issues in counseling and her and Bradley seem to be in a good place. I am not gonna give any of the story line away since this book is not yet released but all I can say is WOW.....just WOW so did not expect that!

J.B. has knocked this one out of the park and it was great to see her writing evolve from Broken. Mending is a story about healing, trust, forgiveness, and finding that true love really does exist and is worth fighting for. A must read! Can't wait for book #3!

More like 3.5 than 4 but who cares?

McGee must have seen the reviews from Broken because she fixed the change between the point of views. Now is smoother and prepares the reader.Again there is the switch between present and past. This time past is considered the months between the time Broken left us and Mending starts.
I got confused in a part though and I hope someone will explain it to me.In the part is sort of means Bradley and Gabby had sex but in the end says that finaly he will be able to make love to her.So my question is;Did or did not they have sex?
I will not comment on the story of this one because I not sure what my feelings are.Anyway I hope Forgiven will be better than Mending.
One question remains:What will happen with Bradley's baggage?

JB strikes again! This was a great read, and a quick read...too quick for my own good actually. It is over now and I have to wait for the next installment. I get the reason for making sequels and trilogies, but they are really hard for readers like me to wait and wait for their release. Alas, I will wait...as I enjoy JB's writing and the story she has laid out for us thus far. A sweet love story with it's share of baggage and struggles...question is, will they stand the test of time and baggage? I sure hope so!

I love "Mending" just as much as I love "Broken". J.B. McGee has done a fantastic job once again. "Mending" gives readers more insight into Bradley's background. I love how we got a chance to learn why he did the things he did. Bradley alone will make you fall in love with "Mending". Everything he does is just so "smooth" and his character is just so lovable. I cannot wait to read the 3rd book in the series.

J.B. McGee has done it! She has followed up Broken with an angsty romance that kept me reading until 2:00 in the morning. Mending picks up right where Broken left us, but be prepared. The first chapter has angst and shock all over it! In Mending, Gabby and Bradley are trying and succeeding at making a long distance relationship work...until this happens! Yes, that's the angst and shock I just mentioned. But, it doesn't stop there, peeps. At 21% <=== yes, that soon! ===> I had to put down my iPad and talk to somebody...anybody about a single solitary sentence I had just read! One sentence! Because I needed to mention a particular spoiler and some may not have read the book, yet, I had to private message Ms. McGee and vent! Here's a little glimpse of how that worked for me:

Me: Okay, I had to put down my other book I'm suppose to be reading and pick up Mending, because I had to see where Bradley and Gabby end up. You had me in angst in the first chapter with the *bleep*, and I'm only 21% in now and ... *BLEEP*!! Really?! I haven't even gotten past where Gabby opened her door after returning from the *bleep* to find *bleep* standing there. I had to drop it and message you right now! I don't even know what I had planned to message, but I had to scream to somebody, and I didn't want to post anything on my Facebook fan page for fear of spoilers to those who haven't read it yet. Rambling fool, I am...but *bleep*!! Really!?!?! OMG...I'm loving this so far.

J.B.: Just wait - it gets better!!! lol - I am laughing so hard over here. I love reading stuff like this. This book will make you want to laugh, scream, throw your kindle, cry - etc - or at least that's what I've heard.

Me: Omg, I don't think I can stand it if it gets any better! I'm back to it! I had to put down [nameless book] because Bradley and Gabby were calling me to Mending! Bradley and Gabby....NOT *BLEEP*!!!! I love that I hate that *bleep* *bleep*! P.S. Uh oh. I've been known to throw my iPad. I think I might have to save my gift card for a new tablet if that's the case.

J.B.: HAHA!!! That is so funny. I am flattered that you had to put [nameless book] down. Seriously flattered. Message me updates - I love to hear what people think while they are reading.

Me: I expect to not put this one down. Short of catastrophe or personal tragedy, I expect to finish this one tonight!

Did you see that?! She laughed at me! Twice! But, it's all good because she gave me a book I really couldn't put down. So, just what was it that had me loving this book? I have a better understanding of Gabby in Mending, and she really has grown in her strength and still stands by her conviction and promise to her mother. She's still vulnerable and insecure, but she learns to let go and submit to her feelings for that chance at happiness. Gabby loses all will power...well, almost all...when it comes to Bradley, and I am happy to see that. Gabby's actions and dialogue fit so perfectly with her character's age and history. Well done, Ms. McGee.

I wanted more Bradley and he was delivered first class priority. Not only did I see more Bradley on the pages, but by presenting both Gabby's and Bradley's points of view at the climactic events, I got an in depth look into his background, only to find that he has his own demons to slay, lending answers to who he is, his family background, and why he is commitment phobic. One thing is clear when it comes to Bradley. He genuinely loves Gabby and he wants her...badly, and he's not willing to risk losing her.

"Hmm. If you make up the rules as you go, are you really playing fair?" ~ Gabby

"I never said I play fair, Miss Gerhart. I do get what I want, though." ~ Bradley

I was beginning to think Bradley's patience with Gabby's insecurity was going to run out, but he shows just how sincere and patient he can be...and this man is patient! That's actually one of the things I love about Bradley. When he loves, that love feeds his strength, his will power, his determination, and his patience. This man is willing to fight for Gabby...and he does.

J.B. McGee has given a sequel in the This series that is even better than the first. We are revisited by a character from the past who creates a tornado that threatens to destroy everything the path of Bradley and Gabby's love. I did yell a few expletives a time or two and had my WTH moments. What you can expect from this book is a heart pounding read, characters who are real, and events that are believable. What you get is all that along with twists, conspiracies, angst, sweet romance, and a few squees along the way.

"You can't run away from anything that presents a risk or has potential to require hard work."

WOW, I have to start off by saying that this book was so awesome. After the first book I was a little hesitant to keep going with this series, but this book completely made up for the first one. This book had the same concept as the first book. It went back and forth to the present and this time the past which was now when Gabby and Bradley left off in the first book. Also in this one we got duel POV's, yay!!

Bradley
[image error]

"There is no one else for me. If I can't be with you for the rest of my life, I will be alone. I'll be miserable."

Mending starts right off with a bang. Bradley and Gabby have grown to really care for one another. The long distance relationship they agreed on in the first book has been working out well. Gabby is in Atlanta this weekend to be with Bradley. But when an unexpected visitor shows up, Gabby goes back to her old ways and runs. Bradley's life starts spinning out of control as he realizes he may have finally lost Gabby for good. But when he sits down and thinks things through he realizes not everything makes complete sense. In the meantime, Gabby is completely crushed, not paying attention at all she opens her door and realizes that her day just went from bad to worse, when the last person she ever wanted to see again is standing there. YES, creeptastic IAN, begging for forgiveness.

Ian

cue the music...

I was captivated by the story. I literally started it at 11pm and tried to put it down twice but laid there thinking about it until I had to roll back over and pick it back up. Eventually I gave up trying to put it down and just read the whole thing until I was done at 3am. This time I really loved the "Past" Storyline. For one, like I mentioned above we got duel POV's. I love Duel POV's. This "Past" Storyline showed the buildup of how Gabby and Bradley got to the "Present Day" Storyline. And then wow, the "Present Day" Storyline was so intense. Even though I loved the "Past" Storyline, I found myself so anxious to get back to the "Present Day" Storyline because it had so many twists and turns. I kept trying to figure out what was going to happen next. And even when I had figured out what was going on, I still wondered what would happen next. That is what ultimately kept me up all night long.

Gabby

"My soul needs him as much as my lungs need air. So much that I feel like I'm suffocating just being away from him."

Gabby had found her happier place in this book, which was so impressive considering how broken she was in her first book. Even when the walls started crumbling down, she didn't completely break, sure she cried and cried, but when demons of her past presented themselves she dug deep and ultimately finally defended herself. I loved seeing Ian get put in his place. I loved that Gabby and John were still close. He makes a great best friend and I hope they remain that way. Of course Sam is the ultimate big sister. I also love how Bradley knows that Gabby and Sam only have each other so he always tries to include her. I love his maturity and mostly his willingness to wait for her. I definitely recommend this series, the first book was a little hard to get through, but this one totally made up for it. :)

I gave another author some grief for taking me from one storyline and timeframe to another, back and forth - and unlike book 1, Mending does implement this literary device. However, it works pretty well for this book. You get a nice lay of the land so you can fill in the blanks over time and it all begins to make sense later. I enjoyed some of the romantic touches of this book - there's a few not-quite-believable plot turns but I won't hold that against the writer. Overall, it's about following these characters' journeys into each other's lives and figuring out where each fits into the other's world, and that part held my interest. I would like to see where McGee takes book 3.

When I read Broken (the first book in this Trilogy) I thought the series could not get any better. Upon reading Mending I have come to the realization that J.B. McGee has outdown herself. If you are looking for a contemporary romance novel not all about sex but one that deals with love and trust and other matters of the heart then Mending (and this trilogy so far in general) is right up your alley. It will make you laugh, it will make your cry, and it will make your want to throw your Kindle/Nook/Tablet out the freakin' window.

I think I actually said "oh no you didn't" out loud towards the end. Bradley is just perfect, but not in a way that makes him cheesy. When the pieces start to fall into place you find yourself wanting to punch any random strangers named Veronica and Ian, still very tempted to do just that.

Gabby and Bradley struggle in this book, and I can't wait for the next book. The back and forth chapters and time periods work so much better than I would have thought. You find yourself easily going with the flow without missing a beat.

Can't wait for book 3

I must say...WOW!!!! I absolutely LOVED this book! Bradly Banks is AMAZING in every way! He knows what he wants & he goes after it! He was a "bad boy" at a point in his life & now he knows that's not for him since he met Gabby! He LOVES her with everything in him & he doesn't hold back! He understands her insecurities & her promise to her late mother to hold off losing her virginity until she is married! That makes me adore him even more! I was NOT disappointed in this book & now I'm anxiously awaiting book #3!!!

This was a wonderful continuation of Gabby and Bradley's story! There was so much more angst and nail-biting in this one....yet still that sweet and swoony love story. Again I'm still in love with the locations of setting on a personal level and J. B. did it again with this one!

Mending, yes the long awaited sequel to Broken, the second book in JB's This series! I couldn't wait to get my hands on this one! So when I had this baby in my hands I was..........................................

Where would Gabby & Bradley go from Broken? I knew they agreed to a "exclusive friendship" but being I've never been in one I couldn't wait to see what one of those looked like! Hmmm, just as I expected I mean come on Gabby Girl how could you NOT want something more with Bradley Banks! True to JB's style the book is told in alternating POV which I love and opened with what I'll the "present"! Yep, it was so good to open the book with Gabby & Bradley...................................

I was ready to see where this went and BAM there was, Veronica, oh I was stunned! Who is Veronica you ask? Well let me tell you she was Bradley's ex- not girlfiend so let's go with a more conservative description "hook-up"! Yes, there she stands all beautiful and blonde and I literally started doing this....................................

Oh this was NOT what I expected! Right out the gates the curve ball is thrown! Poor Gabby, this little scene had me groaning for her! I remember Gabby from Broken and I feared what this could do to her! Bradley was far from thrilled the interuption and honestly I can't blame the man. I literally felt Gabby's heart breaking as she..........

I found I enjoyed that the story jumps between "past" & "present" you actually get to see Bradley & Gabby's relationship blossom before your eyes while intertwining the "present" scenes! It's the only way the story could be told so that the reader understood the emotions of all parties and furthermore where both Gabby & Bradley end up, ah but I'm not telling you where they end up!

Now the shocker to me in this WHOLE book was the sudden appearance of Ian! Of all people, he was the LAST person I expected but interestingly one I asked the author back when I had interviewed her back in November! Of course, no secrets were told to me so I literally did this when Gabby opened up the door to her apartment to Ian..................

Mind racing and eyes gobbling up the pages I literally begged Gabby NOT to let that weasel back in her life! He gutted her when she was younger and set her up for all the trust issues she experienced when it came to her relationship with Bradley! He just couldn't stay in the picture! I just couldn't have him there! But does it matter what I want? Does he stay in the picture? This should sound redudant coming from me but read the book!

There is a lot that had transpired between Gabby & Bradley since he showed up at her house three months after his cousin's wedding in Broken. Their relationship started slowly and a foundation was built. It was composed of open communication, trust and love! Yes, the three things a relationship REQUIRES! Kudos JB for pointing out what a real life relationship has to have to work. Part of the "past" featured Sam, Gabby's sister in case you forget! Sam will always be the protective BIG sister and an integral part of Gabby's life. One thing I'm so looking forward to as the series continues is Bradley's matchmaking attempts between his buddy Ryan and Sam! I can't wait to see if they have the "chemistry" it takes to build a relationship! But I would so love to see that! Hey, a love story within a love story sounds good to me and has me .......................................................

Mending gives you a taste of Veronica & Bradley's history and how they met back in Mr. Banks playboy days! The book also gives a you little history about his parents and some things start to make sense about Bradley. The book has many different layers of emotions that are throughly described there is NO WAY you can't experience what both Bradley & Gabby went through! I can only SHOW them to you the only way I know how so without further adieu let's go. The book immediately had me....................................................................

and if that wasn't enough I swung immediately to this..................

I swear I would've questionned my own sanity if I did this without the adie of a book! There was a point in the book where I.................

and wanted to so do this to Veronica...................................

but I couldn't and Ian, don't get me started on him, but I most certianly would've done this when I opened the door if I was Gabby.....

yes sir, I would've done that in a heartbeat. There was a small part where I was............................................................

Oh the wondering I wanted to get just RUN! But by the end of the book this was me..........................................................

What can I say I was happy! Don't assume my happiness requires an HEA but I don't need that out of the books I read! I saw tremendous growth between Broken and Mending! I was so happy that I enjoyed Gabby in this book and where she ended up! I even liked Bradley and didn't question the connection between the two characters! I felt linked to the two characters! I felt their emotions and I loved every single second of it!

Mending is a straight 5 star read for me! I read the book TWICE yes folks you heard me TWICE! I read it awhile ago and then right before I read JB's next book Conspiring! Now I'm chomping at the bit to read Forgiven which will continue the journey!!! Hurry up April Hurry up April! I highly recommend you read Mending as soon as possible because it's become quite apparent to me that each book is getting better and better! I couldn't walk about from This Series even if you paid me! JB I'm so looking forward to more :) I think I might stalking your Author page for glimpses of Forgiven :)

My Review of Mending by J.B. McGee

So I have been waiting a bit to write this review because I was still trying to form the words to complete my review. I have been read lots of books in the last year or so upwards of about 190+. I still cannot tell you what it is about Broken and Mending that have just taken me completely by storm. Oh well scratch that I can... I am totally and completely smitten with Bradley Banks and simply adore Gabby.

Mending picks up EXACTLY where Broken left off which is great because so many books don't do that and there is a gap in time and space between installments. J.B. does an excellent job of picking up right where she left off in Broken. If you haven't read Broken the first book in the series you will need to start there.

One of my favorite things about the "This Series" is the alternating chapters of past and present. The book starts in the present which is a few months into the future after Broken ended but the alternating chapters, give us the story of the past few months, from their second date to the present day.

In Mending Gabby and Bradley's relationship is put to the ultimate test when a past love interest of his shows up at the most inopportune time. Gabby already struggling to let go of her issues of trust with dating and relationships immediately turns to thinking the worst which causes her to make some rash decisions. Some say that Gabby is immature and I tend to agree. She is after all still a college student. Her decisions causes Bradley to take steps to not only correct this unexpected development, but ensure that Gabby knows just how much this doesn't change anything about his feelings for her.

“I can barely breathe when I'm around you because you take my breathe away. But, when I was without you, I thought I was drowning.”
― J.B. McGee, Mending

When Gabby finds herself with her own unexpected visitor from the past. She comes face to face with the person that betrayed her and caused her to build the walls she has when it comes to relationships. When Ian knock on the door to her apartment it causes Gabby's to really think about her relationship with Bradley. She is slightly confused at the sudden appearance of Ian at her door and quickly realizes which his intentions are.

As Gabby and Bradley's story continues to unfold you get the true feeling of what it means to love unconditionally. Gabby is truly starting to grow up and understand what relationships are supposed to be like. Gabby is the first person to ever make Bradley feel love and he will stop at nothing to make sure that she believes that their love is forever and nothing will ever come between them to change what he feels for her.

“If I can't have you for the rest of my life, I will be alone.”
― J.B. McGee, Mending

This book simply brought a smile to my face, tears to my eyes, warmed my heart and made me fall deeper into their love story. I was smitten with Bradley after Broken and fell even more after Mending. I have read other reviews that criticized that Bradley was too old fashioned and I honestly find that one of his most charming qualities. Gabby can be slightly immature at times but keeping in mind that she is young and inexperienced it lends insight to her character. She isn't supposed to have it all figured out at that age. Who really does when in college, but the one thing that she is always certain of is that she loves Bradley and he loves her just as much...

The characters continue to gain steady development throughout this installment. You can see the depth of the story as it is growing and maturing in this sequel. The next installment is titled "Forgiven" which doesn't have a release date just yet but will surely be on my TBR list!

Deserves more than 5 amazing stars...

"My soul needs him as much as my lungs need air. So much so that I feel like I'm suffocating just being away from him."... Gabby

OHMYGOD! I'm speechless right now. Just finished reading it and I have to admit I could not put it down the moment I started reading it. The first book was OKAY for me but this one...Gosh! I found this too addicting. "This" series is now one of my favorite romance series. I'm just so overwhelmed with all the emotions I have right now brought by the beautiful love story of Bradley and Gabby.

"Mending" picked-up from where "Broken" ended. In this book, the alternating POV's between Gabby and Bradley as well as the past & present narrations are flawlessly done. The author did an amazing job in here. I found myself so engrossed with the story that I lost track of time. I found myself smiling a lot and made my heart ached on some scenes. The author made me feel that I was there on that exact moment when each scenes happened.

Now that Bradley & Gabby is now exclusively dating, their relationship has been put into a test when somebody from Bradley's past knocked on his door one morning carrying a revelation. A revelation that might cause problems between him and Gabby. As we all know that Gabby built walls around her and found herself difficult to trust men and fall in love again. However when Bradley came into her life, her walls started to crumble down.

Her relationship with her older sister - Sam, is so admirable because they are not just sisters but best friends as well. When they lost their mother to cancer, they both cared and loved each other ever since.

If I loved Bradley in "Broken", I loved him even more here. I am so totally smitten by him. I loved how he walked out from his womanizing ways and stayed true to his promise of being loyal and faithful to Gabby. And his proposal? Oh my, my heart just melted. My knees felt so weak I thought I might collapsed....hahaha!

If you want some story that would totally melt your heart and something that you would never forget, then this is the right book for you.

Definitely a.must.read....:)

4.5 Stars ~Mending is the second novel in the This Trilogy. I highly recommend that you read Broken first as it leads up to where Mending begins.

Continuing the story about four months after ‘Broken’ , Gabby Gerhart and Bradley Banks are working on their relationship. They love each other, but is it enough for a long distance romance and will it mend the hurt and allow Gabby to trust Bradley? Will Gabby’s trust issues be too much to handle and will Bradley’s playboy, man-whoring days come back to haunt him?

I loved that Mending started out with a highly emotional, high anxiety scene and then pressed the pause button to bring us back to how we got to that point in the story. Mending will hook you from the beginning and I certainly couldn’t put it down. This story is absorbing, with a few surprises and plenty of moments that will melt your heart.

Once again, author JB McGee did a fantastic job telling the story by weaving the past and present throughout the book. The pace of this story was finely tuned and it felt like each element was delivered at exactly the right moment. The approach gave the story momentum and continued to build the connection with the story and characters each time. I truly felt that this gave the story the right amount of time to unfold while further emerging the characters.

I liked Bradley in Broken, but he is so much more in Mending. He is endearing, hot, sexy and delicious. Gabby shows her growth and is strong and resilient. JB did a fine job giving us characters with multiple layers and slowly peels back those layers while we get to know them.

It was great to see JB’s writing get even better with this second installment. In Mending we get a story about trust, healing and forgiveness, mixed in the right amount of drama, romance, drool-worthy sexual situations. Mending continues to put the pieces of the puzzle together and I am now looking forward to Book #3 in the trilogy to see where JB McGee will take us. I am certain I will not be disappointed. Give it a try!

I did the happy dance when I received a message from J.B. McGee asking if I wanted an ARC of Mending. More Bradley??....Hell yeah!!! Let’s see, where do I start? How about with the fact that I was hooked from the very beginning! This is not one of those books that you have to read for a while before you get to the good stuff….you get it all (or almost all) immediately!!

Mending picks up about 4 months after Broken left off but you catch up on all the in between by alternating past and present chapters. I can sometimes get confused by that kind of writing but I never once did in this story. I actually think it made the suspense and the drama so much better!

Broken left off with Bradley and Gabby deciding to slow things down to just being friends and see where things go….this works for about 3 days!!! And it is not Bradley but Gabby that pushes things along ;) Can you blame her for not being able to keep her hands off of him?? Nope…me either :)

Long distance relationships are never easy, especially when you add Gabby’s trust issues and Bradley’s playboy history to the mix but they actually work well together and make it happen. Gabby is finally trying to get over her issues and enjoy the fact that she finally may get the happily ever after she wants when all of the sudden….BAM….she is faced with a shocker!!!

So, of coarse, she does what most girls would do and she runs! Now Bradley is faced with the fact that he could lose the only woman he will ever love :( So, it is time for the “charmer” to step up his game and get his woman back.

This story was so easy to read and felt like such a fairy tale romance to me. I wish I could tell you more but I HATE spoiler reviews!! It has just the right amount of romance, sexual situations, humor and drama to keep you sucked in and wanting more after every chapter. I thought I loved Broken but I love Mending even more and highly recommend it!!

From my blog.

**ARC provided by author for an honest review**

Emm... I have trouble remembering why I didn't like the first book that much... Because I seriously can't think of one single thing that bothered me in this book.

While the first book seemed choppy because of the ever-changing POVs (and no warning whatsoever), this one was divided into sections and each of them was from one single POV. It made reading and relating to the characters much easier. After the first book, where I never got really into it, I was surprised by how fast I was pulled into the story. And I had really hard time putting this book down for even a moment.

Scary how fast I fell in love with Bradley. In some ways, he's just another overprotective alpha male with some issues. But at the same time, he isn't... There's something so much more to him that I just can't put into words... You know how Christian Grey and Gideon Cross are so troubled and so hot that even though you wouldn't mind having one for yourself, you still know that it's just fiction? Bradley, however, is real. He's like the guy next door (just a bit richer and hotter) you can't help but have a crush on... Like everybody else, he has a past and some problems, but none of that is unrealistic. Playboy past, troubles with his father... Just an ordinary guy who loves his (Gabby) Girl...

I'm off to read the final book of Gabby and Bradley's story now...

Should you read it? Yeah! I might have had some reservations after the first book, but right now I have none.

All I can say is WOW! J.B. McGee definitely delivers in Mending, the second book in the "This" trilogy!!!! It continues where Broken left off...Gabby, a girl who is "broken" from the loss of her mom and the betrayal from an ex, starts the "mending" process with the help of Bradley and his love. Bradley, a man who didn't do commitment until Gabby came into his life, starts to prove how much a reformed playboy can change with the love of his soulmate. Bradley showers Gabby with his love, slowly building Gabby's trust. But when Bradley's ex fling shows up it, it puts that trust to the test. Can Gabby overcome her fears and trust in and fight for Bradley's love?

Absolutely loved Mending!!! Bradley is super yummy, so very sweet, and beyond romantic. Gabby's walls she put up around her heart can't help but come crumbling down under Bradley's assault. Gabby grows as a woman, becoming more self assured and confident, "mending" the "broken" little girl inside, looking towards the future and the one who will want her mind, body, and soul.

J.B. McGee outdid herself in Mending. The plot twist and turns surprised me over and over. I never saw them coming!!! Come fall in love with Bradley and Gabby! Read it, love it, tell your friends...you won't be disappointed...only left wanting more of Bradley and Gabby's love and the final installment of the "This" trilogy, Forgiven!!! (please don't make us wait too long J.B.!!!!)

I just finished reading Mending and I have to say, it was even better than Broken! I loved Broken, but Mending has got to be my favorite book out this series so far. I loved that we were able to have Gabby and Bradley's point of views. I was thinking while I was reading Broken that I would really like to see how Bradley viewed things and what he thought when he wasn't with Gabby. I was not disappointed and JB has me hooked even more! I loved being apart of the journey JB took me on throughout Gabby and Bradley's journey. You really got to see how the love between them developed. Of course, nothing goes smoothly and without drama, and there were times while I was reading that I was completely shocked at how things played out. I even wanted to throw my kindle across the room as I was cursing at it, but this is definitely an amazing book and I was not disappointed. I love Bradley and Gabby and I can't wait to see what's next for them in the third book, Forgiven. I know it's going to be just as amazing and I look forward to what's going to happen. Definitely check out this book, especially if you loved Broken!

I'm all about this story, but the books are SO DAMN SHORT! Ugh. $2.99 for a "day in the life" and what felt like some pages in a scrapbook.

I was really excited to catch up with Gabby and Bradley. It's all a bit Cinderella and swoony for me, but thank goodness Ms. Insecure-Because-of-That-One-Guy-in-High-School is allowing the old money, CEO, rich guy and former player to date her and "do everything but it" alllll the while getting counseling.

But, I don't read books for reality, I can put a book down and walk around in my own shoes for that. I liked this book much better than the first even because the dialogue with the others in their life seemed more real. I liked that Gabby and Bradley both talked to their friends. It was too self contained in the first book.

I'm looking forward to the next book, although I'm sure we'll just be finding out a couple of cliffhangers, getting married and "doing it!" LOL! I'm ready for these two to have their HEA, after what I'm sure will be some drama, but just enough.

Mending by J.B. McGee is the second novel in the This Trilogy. I absolutely loved Broken and was so excited to have been given a chance to read Mending before its release.

Mending finds Gabby and Bradley working on their relationship. It’s obvious that they love each other deeply but will their love be enough to keep them together??

Mending is told from both Bradley and Gabby’s point of view, thank you J.B. McGee for giving us an even better look into these characters as I really enjoy them both. I can relate to Gabby and her insecurities, how she wants to push past them. Bradley is absolutely lovely ~swoons~!!! I would have liked to have heard a little more about Bradley’s single days, being that he had quite the reputation for being a playboy, it could have been fun to see a little more of this side of him.

If you loved Broken you will love Mending. A beautiful love story that had my complete and undivided attention right from the moment I started it. Packed full of story, with a few surprising twists and turns. Mending will melt your heart ☺ N. 4/5

This book follows just as the first from past to present tense but the past tense is where Broken left off & when it's from someone other than Gabby's POV is says so at the beginning of the paragraph. All is going smoothly then Chapter 3 there's a BOMBSHELL and then it was so hard for me to concentrate on the past as I wanted to know what happens then when it goes back to the present another BOMBSHELL! I know to much to handle lol. I am still annoyed with Gabby for not stopping and really thinking about things before she puts her running shoes on. I know that it was a Bombshell but really running from Bradley when he himself had this dropped on him was not right in my book.
It's a nail biter hoping things can work out for Gabby & Bradley.
Great Ending and there's even going to be more!! Forgiven comes out April 2013. A few hot scenes but nothing detailed and raunchy.
