Accepting the job of her dreams as a crew member aboard the Mystique, sixteen-year-old Carol Walters enjoys the company of two handsome young men, until a passenger is pushed overboard by a killer who wants to make Carol the next victim. Original.
Just ok. I love the colors on the cover: purple, pink, yellow. Has that 90s aesthetic. The writing leaves something to be desired. It’s just kinda bland and doesn’t flow well.
The main character Carol (seriously? That old name?) has at least 3 love interests and we’re only on book 1: the lead singer in a band, a junior ship captain, and another passenger who may or may not be connected with a murder. There’s also a weird psychic girl and the killer may or may not be connected to a religious cult.
