In the first half of this epic Christian romance novel, Dr. Ayiti Jean-Pierre is determined to travel back to the homeland that is her namesake,Ayiti--or "Haiti," as it is known in English. When she was seven-years-old, Ayiti and her family were forced to flee the beautiful island to escape the political turmoil and poverty that was beginning to bring misery to the Haitian people. Once her family moved to New York, Ayiti never quite got over the feeling of being displaced. She never quite felt at home. With a deep longing to return to her homeland, Ayiti throws herself into her studies and becomes a successful doctor. Ayiti knows she has a God-given call on her life to return and help.
She moves back to Haiti to provide volunteer medical services with a Christian Medical Missionary Group. She knows she is responding to
a call God has placed on her life. What she doesn't know is that God has so much more in store for her.

After arriving in Haiti, Ayiti meets an English missionary, Pastor Jude Patterson. Pastor Jude Patterson has been living in Haiti his entire life. His British family gave their lives to minister to, and assist, the Haitian people. Their ministry is focused on helping the Haitian people overcome their practices of voodoo and witchcraft in order to come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.

When Ayiti arrives, Pastor Jude falls in love with her. Immediately, he pursues her, but Ayiti cannot get over the fact that he is white, seven years younger, and of a completely different cultural background. She also despises the fact that Pastor Jude seems to be attacking the very cultural beliefs that she prides herself in.

Ayiti is determined to do what she came to Haiti to do: save her people. Pastor Jude, however, will stop at nothing to capture her heart. More importantly, Pastor Jude wants to help Ayiti let go of her misconceptions, and come to know the truth about her beliefs about voodoo culture, and the truth about salvation through Jesus Christ.

Battling issues regarding race, spiritual beliefs, and age differences, the relationship between Ayiti and Jude is tested to the limits. Will Ayiti put aside her preconceptions and bitterness to give Jude a chance? Will she come to learn the truth about her spiritual beliefs and accept Jesus? Will Jude win Ayiti's heart?

This is an epic Christian romance novel provided in two parts. This has Chapters 1-28. The Next Book is entitled AYITI: CONTINUED picks up from Chapters 25-52. It is a tale of the journey one woman faces as she travels back to her homeland and faces the demons of the culture she's honored for her entire life. It is a love story between two people who couldn't be more different from one another, but are brought together for a purpose by God. It is also the story of how God's purpose can transcend culture, race, age and obstacles of every kind.

Vacirca V. Vaughn is a Clinical Social Worker who has worked in the mental health/substance abuse field for over ten years, providing counseling and therapy services to those in crisis. It was the way she paid the bills as she pursued her dream of being a fiction writer, poet, and spoken word artist.

Currently, she has four Christian Fiction works published on Amazon.com entitled, AYITI, AYITI:CONTINUED, JUDE & THE MAKEOVER. The second half of the serial novel, JUDE: CONTINUED, is scheduled to be released by December, 2015.

Years ago, she published two collections of poetry entitled IF MY SOUL COULD TALK and ON THE OUTSIDE LOOKING IN (look them up on Amazon!). Of course these were published years ago, before she was a Christian. Please keep in mind that the content in those works are from "B.C." Vacirca (Before Christ) and are quite different from what she is being led to write now. However, if you're interested in Vacirca's journey as a writer, check out both titles on Amazon. See how far she has come by the grace of God!

A Christian, she first got saved in her late teens, and after several years of backsliding, rededicated herself back to Jesus Christ in 2008 at the altar of Times Square Church. She began writing again in 2010, after ten years of severe writer's block. Following the earthquake in her family's homeland in Haiti, she was inspired to write again by the grace of God. Just in case you missed it the first time, her novels are available on Amazon.com!

Now, Vacirca aspires to work in full time writing ministry through various Christian-based genres, including fiction, poetry, drama, and film. She is developing an arts and media ministry called Esther 31 Ministries, through which the Gospel of Jesus Christ can be ministered through the entertainment and media industries. Some of her works are a bit "out there," while others are more conservative. Vacirca's prayer is that each work will touch someone as God intends.

Most importantly, as a Christian writer, Vacirca wants to hear from readers. Please share how the stories have brought you closer to Jesus Christ, or impacted you in some way. She would appreciate your feedback, good or bad, and asks that you post your reviews as well on the sites.

I shed my tears several times while reading this book. I enjoyed the romance between Ayiti and Jude but never expected myself to be encouraged spiritually. The relationship Ayiti had with God before she got saved describes mine personally. It's like a mirror of my own. The author is truly gifted by writing such empowering and encouraging books. I feel blessed. Thank you, Ms. Vacirca Vaughn. God bless.
