Rock My Bed

Rate this book
Everything always seems to fall into place for twenty-four year-old Aubrey Jenson, except for when it comes to her luck with men. Bad boys always draw her in and crush her heart, and Black Falcon’s lead guitarist, Riff, is no exception. After sharing a few wild nights together, she leaves him behind, knowing a guy like Riff isn’t the relationship type, merely just a play thing.

When she returns to New York, she tries to get the passion she felt in Riff’s arms out of her head by dating Isaac, a successful representative at Center Stage Marketing. Just when she thinks she’s forgotten Riff, she’s forced to see him again when her best friend, Lanie, ropes her into being a bridesmaid for her upcoming wedding to Black Falcon front man, Noel.

Sparks fly instantly between Aubrey and Riff when they’re forced to reunite, and suddenly she finds herself caught between the man that’s good for her and the one who completely rocks her in every way.

I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again... I am a sucker for all things rock stars! I don’t know if its the bad boys with tattoo’s and piercings, or the fact that I love rock music, but there is something about them... Yum! Okay, now to the book! We met Riff in ‘Rock the Band’. He was the manwhore of the group with a mohawk, cocky attitude, and oreo obsession. But there is SO MUCH MORE to the man than that! I thought I loved Noel, but ‘Riff’ or Zach, stole my heart!

Aubrey Jenson is 24 years old. She is Lane’s best friend and works in marketing with her. She is working at her dream job, everything is going good for her... except in the relatioship department. Aubrey has this thing for bad boys. Even though she knows she should settle down with someone respectable, she can’t help it. She is drawn to them.
I’ve been with the bad boy type before, but Riff is like their king.

When she meets Riff at a concert, she wants him. And he wants her. She gets one of Riff’s elusive ‘Golden Tickets’
One Night with a Rock Star: Admit One

Although she can’t use the ticket that night because she is helping Lane, she has Riff on the mind. When she gets home, she looks him up online and adds herself to his fan page. When Riff looks at his computer, he can’t believe his eyes. The sexy redheaded ‘Wild Cat’ he met at the show added him. He has to get in contact with her. The two start messaging each other. They both want one thing. Sex. One time. Riff needs to get this girl out of his system. He can’t get her out of his head. And Aubrey needs to find a nice guy, but she has to have Riff.

After messaging for weeks, Aubrey surprises Riff by coming to show and staying for the weekend. He is shocked that she is Lane’s friend, but over the moon to see her. Once these two get going... Wow! It is hot between them!!!
“Tonight you’re mine. I’m going to fuck you in so many positions the Kama Sutra will be asking us for tips.”

After spending the weekend together... they are both screwed.
One time with her won’t be enough. I can already fucking tell.

They stay in contact. Riff can be Zach with Aubrey. Some one he hasn’t been able to be with a woman for a long time. The more time he spends with her, the more he talks with her, the more he wants her. But he knows he shouldn’t have her. Poor Zach. He has a hell of a past. A lot of things have happened to him that he blames himself for. Behind that cocky facade, he feels unworthy. But Audrey sees the good in him.
“I’m no good for you. I know that, but damn it, I can’t stop myself from wanting you.”

“Then don’t.”

Aubrey and Zach have a connection. I just loved them together. They try to make a go of a ‘relationship’. It’s not an easy road for them. Aubrey’s wants to be with him, Riff gets a little freaked out over being in a relationship. Its a bumpy ride.

 photo Rockmybed-wontgiveup_zps306f9253.jpg

This was a good one! If you read ‘Rock the Band’ you will LOVE this! It was awesome getting in both Aubrey AND Zach’s heads. It was especially great to see all the scenes from Rock the Band from their point of view. Riff is a bad boy who stole my heart :D I really enjoyed this one and I’m looking forward to the next installment!!

“I want you to know, I meant what I said earlier. I love you with every inch of my broken soul. I know it’s a mess, but I’m giving you all the pieces, hoping you can make sense of it. I love you, Kitten.”

I just have to add that I can’t eat oreo’s anymore with out thinking of Riff...

So Christine & I decided we would tag team this review no.............

not that type of tag team and OH DON'T GO THERE for the other! You see we both LOVED this book ~ It's by far our FAVORITE of the series and you will find you are going to love Riff far more than you every thought ~ Yes when this ARC hit my e-mail I was........................

I think I can safely speak for Christine that she was just as excited ~

Christine:

I didn't think I could love anyone more than Noel Falcon but I was completely wrong. Michelle Valentine has done it again and created another hot rockstar that you wont easily forget.

Kim:

Rock Star????? Did someone say Rock Star???? Well, we ALL know how I feel about Rock Star Romances ~ Addicted is a mild description. Oh I agree with Christine on this Michelle NAILED it ~ You won't soon forget Riff ~ heck from the first page I was.......................

I promise you WILL do that and if you don't **gasp** well perhaps you have a great home life :)

Christine:

Rock My Bed starts parallel to Rock the Heart where we first see where Riff the Mohawk woman loving guitarist first meets Lanies red headed gorgeous best friend Aubrey. Riff attempts to make a play for her similar to what he normally does for the groupies by giving her the coveted golden ticket but Aubrey isn't falling for it. You see the difference is Aubrey is an intelligent hard working no nonsense woman - very different than what Riff is used to and he is immediately intrigued by her.

Kim:

Aubrey dear Aubrey ~ loves the bad boys ~ attracts Riff and then bam he hands out this to her...........................................

I loved the chemistry between Riff & Aubrey in the opening of this book. She knows he is bad ~ OH SO VERY BAD ~ but how could she resist. She will have ladies everywhere giving a big huge....................

Christine:

There is an immediate undeniable attraction between Riff and Aubrey and what transpires between these two characters is some freakin HOT gratifying panty melting sex. And what starts off as a last hurrah for Aubrey before she settles with Mr. Khaki uptight businessman with money turns into so much more.

Kim:

See I agree with Christine there was definitely this going on......

when Riff & Aubrey connected there was some sure fire...............

which had me thinking "Aubs, dear WHY SETTLE??? why do you think you need the "dependable nice guy" when you have........................

Christine:

I hated the stereotype of the perfect guy that Aubrey thought would be the ideal man for her. I understood where she was coming from because of getting hurt in the past but was angry at her when it seemed as though she was embarrassed to be seen with Riff.

Kim:

Christine is dead on ~ the stereotyping drove me nuts!!! We get to see a side of Riff that will leave you aching for more. But there is a scene with Riff where Aubrey seems embarrassed and I totally.......

when you get there you will KNOW what I'm talking about!!!!!!!!!!

Christine:

There are secrets that Riff is hiding that prevents him from feeling like he deserves love happiness and a woman to stand by his side. And when we learn more about them and how broken he is inside it makes me want to hold him real close and shower him with unconditional love. Because even though he feels like he doesn't deserve these things we the readers see a different side of him when he is with Aubrey and recognize that he deserves everything and more.

Kim:

I really can't add much more to the brokenness that is Riff. I can show you what I was doing when I read that part...................

I seriously bawled like a child getting his favorite toy taken away. Riff's secret will leave you wanting to hug him, love him, and show him he is worthy of what the thinks he can't have.

Christine:

So what will become of these two characters? Will they be able to settle their differences? Will Aubrey be able to move past what she feels is the perfect mate and recognize that Riff is that person for her? And conversely will Riff be able to see how good of a person he is and stop running from his soul mate?

You will have to read this to find out.

Kim:

Riff and Aubrey have their shares of ups and downs. There were parts of the book when they were further involved that I was so...........

Then I wanted to SCREAM at Riff and ask him where the hell did you come up with that idea while I looked at Aubrey and I was just.....

it will bring out every emotion you have which makes Rock My Bed the FANFREAKINGTASTIC book it is!!!

Christine:

We were provided an arc copy of this book for an honest review.

I do want to mention that I loved reading from both characters pov. I loved being inside Riff's head.

What I loved even more was seeing the progress of the storyline for all characters and to see more of Noel and Lanie.

I do hope that Michelle continues writing about the Black Falcons and am looking forward to the brothers Trip and Tyke :)

Kim:

Dual POV are the BOMB ~ I love seeing where things are heading from each characters POV. I was going ...............................

and then the......................................................

and then when everything is just.... well it's .... you have to read it but I was doing this at the end of Rock My Bed...................

I agree with Christine I can't wait to see where Trip & Tyke take us those game playing hotties ~ games as in video ~ and some little philosophical advise that had me...................................

I had no clue they well could be that deep ~ Rock My Bed was just pure awesomeness that left me one very HAPPY girl! Totally 5 star read for me ~ just goes to show yet again how talented that wonderful Ms. Valentine is and it will leave you begging for more.

Wow!!! That series never let me down!!!

The second book was more good than the first one!!!
I really enjoyed every single moment...
Except the love story between Riff and Aubrey for which i'll talk to you later, i really liked that i saw some of the facts that happened in the first book from a different point of you....

They made me see the things more clear!!!

Well, "Rock my bed" was following Riff's story, the guitarist of the Black Falcon rock band... Her mate was Aubrey which we met her to the first book since she was Lane's best friend!!!
How these two get together???
But of course, because of Noel and Lane!!!

Riff was a guitarist and he was living for his music and his band...
His only pleasure was to get lay with some different groupies every night!!! He was an arrogant and cocky bastard...
Imagine that he had print some golden tickets and he was giving them to the women that got interesting for a night with him!!!

And that was the pass to get these girls into the Band bus and for Riff to get into their pants!!!
I'm not shitting you!!! The dude was a totally man whore!!!

The thing that i liked the most in the development of the story was the realization that Riff wasn't who we thought he was!!!
He was having more depth than that!!!
He was just broken because he had a rough time when he was a teenager and that fact shattered his soul and make him believe that he wasn't worthy to be loved by anyone...
He also thought that he was incapable to love back someone until Aumbrey changed everything for him...

With her, he became a better man... He was sweet, passionate, kind, caring!!! He was the ideal man even though his appearance tricked the people that surrounds him... You see, Riff was full of tatoos, piercings and an extreme haircut!!! But he was hell of a guy!!!

I liked him so much and i can not decide if i liked better Riff or Zack!!!
I think that this two together was an amazing combination!!!!

Aubrey was a crazy, workoholic woman and she was the best friend that anybode could ever have... Lucky Lane!!!
She long to find her prince, but in all her life she was drown toward the bad boys!!!
She was determined to stop doing that and to find a good guy to settle down... But fate brought her a jackass with mohawk hair and a shitty attitude...

When he met her for first time he gave her a golden ticket to join him and he had the nerve to kiss her without her permission...
But she liked it!!! Even though that was the first thing that he said to her...
So, she decided that it would be her last opportunity to have a good time with a bad boy before she find out Mr. Right!!!
So one thing led to another and they found themselves to having a great sexy weekend together before they separate their ways!!!
That decision was made from both of them for different reasons... but it's difficult to ignore the instant connection between them...

So they will manage to overcome the obstacles between them???
They will recognise these feelings that they are having both deep inside them and to embrace them???
Or they will close their eyes and walk different paths???

I love these guys!!!
Even though in some point they made me furious with their stubborness!!!
But in general i was having a real good time with their adventure...
It was so sweet, tender and lovable!!!

Now,i can not wait to learn more about these crazy twins!!!
I'm so curious about their stories!!!

2 1/2 to 3 stars

I didn't enjoy this book as much as I did the first one and its extended follow up epilogue novella. I felt it fell apart a little toward the end. There was too much trite drama for drama's sake, and the editing issues were more glaring. However, what I did love was the author's ability to give the reader fun insight into Noel and Lanie's story from the first book, as their story took place most during the same time frame as this book. Not to mention, Riff and Aubrey had amazing chemistry and I loved getting to know them both individually and as a couple. The ending put a huge smile on my face.

"One Night with a Rock Star Admit One"

“Feisty and brave. I can only imagine what a night with you would be like. I bet you’re a regular wildcat. Here. Take this.” He reaches in his back pocket of his jeans and pulls out a golden piece of paper and slips it into my palm. “Meet me out by our bus. Let me have just one night to fuck you senseless. I guarantee I’ll have you speaking in tongues before the nights through.”

One last hurrah before Aubrey gives up her greatest weakness, bad boys, she needs to find a boring sensible man who will offer her stability and all Riff wants is a chance to sink into the feisty redhead's heat and lose himself. Their bodies are the only thing they can offer one another, their time comes when Lanie brings Aubrey along for the weekend, and they hole themselves up in a hotel room and only come up for air to eat.
“Tonight you’re mine. I’m going to fuck you in so many positions the Kama Sutra will be asking us for tips,” I growl into her ear. I pull back in time to watch her wide eyes return to normal and those luscious lips of hers pull into a sexy smile.

“That’s what I’m counting on.”

Riff is nothing remotely close to stable and normal, he is complex and has some dark secrets he keeps close, refusing to believe he is worthy of anything good, he does everything he can to push Aubrey away but just as quick pull her back.

Aubrey is sick and tired of the roller coaster ride, she deserves better than someone who is hot and cold, but she can’t help but see that there something good in him, something he is too blind to see and she is completely lost in him
"Never in a million years did I believe that kiss backstage with a sweaty, Mohawked rock star would lead to a connection like this. This is one curveball in life I wasn’t expecting."

Rock My Bed, was another great rock star read, I liked this one some much more than Noel and Lanie’s story. There was no bull shit stubbornness going on, when they both went after what they wanted. Taming a bad boy is never easy and it made it all the more fun to read. This book happens along side the same time frame as Rock the Heart, so you don’t have to re-read the first book as this gives you another POV of Noel and Lanie’s story. I can’t wait for the twin’s story, something tells me it’s gonna be another goodie!

This is the story behind the relationship of Riff and Aubrey which occurred during the first book of this series Rock the Heart. Riff is a member of Black Falcon, he was the character which Noel supposedly slept with and impregnated his kinda girlfriend Sophia. Aubrey is Lanie’s best friend and coworker.

Michelle A. Valentine does an excellent job of not bogging a reader down with conversation and scenes that had already taken place in the first book. Also, this story is told in alternating povs which is always fun.

Riff was a bit of an ass in the beginning of this book, but I have to say that I found him very amusing. He hands out golden tickets to be exhanged for a night of sex with him. His pickup lines…utterly tactless.

Riff has never had a relationship. He is hurt by Noel’s betrayal and his back story is so sad!! He really feels that he is not worthy of love. On the other hand, he is very proud of his bedroom skills.

Riff and Aubrey meet backstage after a concert the attraction is instant on both their parts.

description

I enjoyed following Riff and Aubrey’s progression from a hot scheduled one night stand to so much more. Also how her nickname went from Wild Cat to Kitten...very cute. Riff you are worthy of love!

Parts of the story that I didn’t care for were Aubrey stereotyping Riff as the typical bad boy who will break your heart. The second part that drove me crazy, was the pushing away of each on both characters part. Also, Aubrey's reaction to Riff surprising her at work...hated her at that part!

Once these two got on the same page I was a happy reader.

"I love you with every inch of my broken soul. I know it's a mess, but I'm giving you all the pieces, hoping you can make sense of it. I love you, Kitten."

I would have liked a bit more on Riff, perhaps some sort of conclusion with his father or healthy decision made. I also would love to know what Aubrey is going to do next.

Overall, a good story and from now on I’ll be calling him Zach because I love him too (;

Ok by now it should come as no surprise to anyone I absofuckinloutely  LOVED THIS BOOK!

From the very first time Michelle let me read the first 33 pages I knew Rock My Bed was going to be a hit.

I read Rock My Bed as she was writing it and I shit you not EVERY TIME I saw a new chunk in my inbox I

I couldn't get enough of that rude, crude, tattooed, dirty mouthed Riff! He totally had me at

"I knew it. Redheads are always feisty, and they never disappoint in the sack"

Michelle promised us a bad boy rock star and guess what...she DELIVERED and she delivered him in a built, buff, tattooed, pierced package! He's everything you want/need in a bad boy and I found myself in lust with him instantly. There's more to Riff than the cocky man whore stage persona. We get to see the real him, we get to see Zach, the guy who harbors so much guilt from an accident 10 years prior he believes he's poison, that he taints and ruins everything he touches. He believes he doesn't deserve love or to have anything or anyone good in his life.
Now Aubrey has sworn off  "bad boys" after being hurt by so many in the past she thinks it's time she settles down with a *cough, cough, boring* nice guy even though she knows a "nice" guy could never satisfy her. I absolutely love her! I love her sass, feisty-ness and her take no BS attitude. I love that she wasn't all fan girly over Riff, she wanted to get to know the real him; she wanted Zach. Most of all I loved that she wanted to show him that despite what he thought he was a good person and worthy and deserving of being loved and having good things in his life.

Now from the moment these two meet it was like

the heat and chemistry was off the charts hot; there was some of this

and a some of that

which left me feeling like

The sex between these two is lip biting, toe curling make your eyes roll hot! At one point Riff growls at Aubrey to "Fucking come for me" and I totally had to stop and think "did I just do that myself?"

Once again Michelle nailed it letting us in to Riff & Aubrey's heads. I've said this about her writing style since Rock The Heart, she has a knack for letting you into her characters heads and instead of reading the story it's like your living it right along with them. When Riff got down on himself my heart broke for him, when he was being a cocky ass I just shook my head and then there were the few times I wanted to choke him!!!

I understood completely why he did what he did to Aubrey and why he felt he had to but still I wanted to choke him. Not hard, just a little squeeze. Although I did like Aubrey's plan of revenge...that part made me giggle because it involved her pompous, pretentious, Ken doll looking boss...I won't say what  happens but some good stuff goes down and Riff ends up punching the little prick right in the nose and that made my cold black hear squeal in delight! I was positively giddy!!! My first thought was "yesssss I hope you broke the bastards nose!" annnnnnd I loved the ending...
no don't worry he really didn't say that I just liked the pic since Ariel has red hair like Aubrey and Prince Eric is all pierced and tattooed plus I wanted to use my new Disney font...OR maybe it's all of those things in addition to Riff saying that...my lips are sealed :-X

no but seriously by the end I was

and would sing from a mountain top about Rock My Bed

While I did and still do love the previous books in this series Rock My Bed is without a doubt the best of the series so far and seeing as how the books keep getting better as we go along I have no doubt in my mind that the future books she has planned for the Black Falcon series will be excellent and I'll be waiting not so patiently for them. Especially since Trip's book is next and you know how I LOVE me some Trip!

Now here's a little Poem I wrote for Trip!
Oh Trip how I love thee, let me count the ways...
I love you more than tanning on a breezy summer day.
I love your dimples and your sexy green eyes, I want to lick you all over
like your covered in banana cream pie.
Your tattoos and piercings are oh so yummy,
I hate that people think you're a dummy.
You love your Xbox and I just push buttons, come over here and I'll call you my muffin.
I think we'd have fun together since you're so Saucy and everyone knows I'm a whole lotta bossy!
You talked about Cupid as if he were real, seriously Dude? WTF is your deal lol?
After Rock My Bed we see you're actually kinda smart (in a Dr Phil kinda way)Trip yet again you've stolen my heart <3

-This is a 100% Holly original...because yeaaaa what other asshole do you know could come up with shit like this off the top of her head...

RIFF! RIFF! RIFF!!!!

4.5 Stars

“Let me have just one night to fuck you senseless. I guarantee I’ll have you speaking tongues before the nights through.”

I fucking devoured this book. I bought this first thing this morning and I read it non-stop. By lunchtime, I was finished. I couldn’t put it down. Riff and Aubrey’s story was fan-fucking-tastic, and DAMN, it was HOT HOT HOT. Fuck! I cannot get over how happy reading this made me. Ever since I finished Rock the Heart (Black Falcon #1), I wanted Riff and Aubrey’s story badly.

This chick has another thing coming if she thinks I’m some sad, sappy asshole. I’m not a guy that can be tamed. Ever.

Riff is one tattooed bad ass motherfucker. He’s the lead guitarist of Black Falcon and is famous for his Mohawk and womanizing ways. He is the epitome of a manwhore. After each show, he actually hands out “golden tickets” to a few lucky ladies who will be sharing his bed that night. He doesn’t do commitment. He doesn’t do relationships. Love is something very foreign to Riff; he feels like he’s undeserving of it. Something happened in his past that prevents him from feeling like he deserves it. However, things are about to change when he first sets his eyes on Aubrey. She’s definitely a game changer.

Kitten turns toward me and licks her lips before giving me a little wink. God, she’s the sexiest thing I’ve ever seen. It’s taking me every bit of my self-control not to throw her down on this bench seat and fuck her on the spot right here in front of everyone.

Aubrey exactly knows what type of man Riff is, and she’s just fine with that. Aubrey is feeling the pressure to find Mr. Right. This poses a problem because Aubrey has a thing for the bad boys. When Riff hands her one of his “golden tickets,” she’s more than tempted to take him up on his offer, but ultimately she denies him. However, one internet search later has her befriending him and their flirting begins. Both can’t get each other off their minds and you know when they meet again, OH MAN! it’s gonna be fucking HOT. Initially for Aubrey, Riff is going to be her “last hurrah” before settling down. As for Riff, Aubrey is just an itch he desperately needs to scratch. Of course both you and I know where this is headed.

“I don’t mean to hurt you, Kitten. I fucking love you and I don’t know how to handle it.”

**SIGH** I was so sad when I finished this story. Riff and Aubrey have to be one of my favorite couples. I don’t know what it is about them, but I just LOVE them together!!

1. I love how he calls her Kitten
2. I love how he wants her to call him by his birth name (Zach) instead of his stage name. It makes her unique and I practically swooned!
3. I love the scene in the Mexican restaurant when they were practically groping each other under the table. Riff almost lost his mind! So fucking HOT!
4. I love that Riff wanted to see Aubrey so much that he decides to spend his break with her. He can be so unbelievably sweet. And ladies...he cooks!! Love it.
5. I love how lovesick Riff gets when he’s away from her. So fucking sweet!! OMG, I LOVE RIFF!!!

I'm so sad Riff’s story is finished because I desperately want more! That’s okay though, I still have the twins to look forward to. I wonder whose story is next. Will it be Tyke? Trip? Seriously, my pervy mind is going nuts thinking about these twins. Fuck. Me. I want these two so….fucking….badly! I ache! I can’t wait for more!!! I LOVE this series!!

Firstly let me state that I LOVE ROCK-STAR BOOKS. I love musicians, tattooed and pierced guys with dirty mouths and womanizing men. There’s just something about the sexiness and bad-boy vibes they ooze that totally does it for me. I’ve read so many rock-star books that come across as corny and stupid and at times have had me rolling my eyes but with this series I just had a good time. Sure there were some stupid, unbelievable moments but the characters were so amazing I could throw my hands up and say who cares. After devouring Rock the Heart, I was definitely excited to start the second book in the series Rock My Bed. The two books in this series are based off separate characters. The first centers on Noel the lead singer of Black Falcon and the second “Rock My Bed” features Riff the lead guitarist who we meet in the first book. They can both be read as standalone's but I would HIGHLY recommend you reading them in order because there is a lot of little things that tie into the second book, that we learn about in the first. I think you would get so much more enjoyment out of it if you read Rock The Heart, followed by Rock My Bed.

**(there is also a little Novella in this series that can also be read after the first book)**

What did I love about Riff?

Riff reminded me a little of Griffin in Thoughtless by S.C Stephens. He’s so cocky you almost want to slap him. He knows he’s sexy and that oozes out of every pore in his body. Riff is a tormented rocker with a past that lingers and causes him to have problems connecting with people. He doesn't love ANYONE, because loving someone gives them the opportunity to hurt you and he definitely doesn't want that. Behind the tough guy, cocky ass and dirty mouth exterior Riff is a total SWEETHEART!! He’s so damn lovable you can’t help yourself when you start automatically swooning. Between his little smirks, golden tickets and dirty mouth he’ll turn you into an “ Oreo loving” (you’ll get the Oreo thing when you read the book....lol!!) fan-girl in no time.

What did I love about Aubrey?

Aubrey is Lanie’s BFF (you meet Lanie in book #1). She’s a goal oriented girl with a good head on her shoulders. She’s not afraid to let loose and have a little fun and definitely knows how to handle herself. She’s a bit of a spitfire and I loved that about her. She takes a liking to Riff almost immediately and see’s him as a way to have a “last hurrah” before she settles down and finds a man she can marry and have a family with. Aubrey likes the bad boys but knows they only bring drama and pain and are definitely not trustworthy. Even though Aubrey is secure in who she is she knows that Riff is no good for her and that definitely keeps her guard up.

Aubrey and Riff together?

Together Aubrey and Riff are steamy and sexy. They have an undeniable chemistry that was HOTTTT. I loved the sex and the connection they shared. It was good, good, good. They are two very strong minded individuals though and Aubrey is sure that a relationship with the Riff is definitely NOT in the cards for her. He’s everything that she knows she needs to stay away from. Riff falls for her pretty fast, but is hiding some stuff that makes him feel like he could never deserve someone as amazing as Aubrey, BUT once they have a small taste of each other they can’t get enough. They get under each others skin and it gets angsty, steamy and unbelievably good.

Overall?

Overall I would definitely recommend this series. I really enjoyed every moment of reading it. I loved Riffs book a little more than Noels because I love a flawed man that’s a little broken. It makes him so much more yummier. Another thing I loved was the alternating POVS. There’s nothing better than getting into both the characters heads and getting a good feel for them. The plot in this book runs parallel to the plot in the first book giving you a fantastic view of the story as a whole. I think for me this was a 4 star book. If you’re looking for something fun, sexy, angsty and just plain delicious, this series is a GREAT choice.

Oh lord.

Rock My Bed was some hot smutty lovin'. Now I would totally love a bad boy with tats and shit.. but piercings? I have no idea. I haven't dated a guy with piercings or tats... so really I have no idea if I would like that sort of thing.

EITHER WAY I loved Riff. I have been dying all day (since I wrote the review for the first book) to dive into the next book or three (because two were novellas) of this series! Riff is basically like any typically and cliche rock stars: a manwhore, duh.

Everything changes when Aubrey comes into the picture. She is Lane's best friend who also works in marketing. She has a thing for bad guys (insert eye roll because you know what's coming next don't ya??). Once she meets Riff, she goes crazy. She instantly wants him and he feels the same. Their chemistry was insane and of course, for some super odd reason, they think a one night stand would totally cure them.

LOL.

OKAY!

Overall, I really enjoyed reading about these two. I also enjoyed the novellas before and after this book but I'm too hyped up on all the books I've read that I really just wanted to knock this review out. Honestly I really enjoyed their relationship because of how real their connection grew to be. They seem to have a normal one that definitely hits a ton of bumps and shit but they work through it. I loved the ending of this book and I can't wait to read the next one.

Now, I will admit, I love Noel!! and I really thought my choice of Band member would not be swayed, But...I have been converted!! Riff has well and truly Rocked my Socks!!!

"Kitten, i'm the baddest bad boy you'll ever need" Yeah baby!!!!

Little did he know, when the Oreo loving bad boy gave the firey redhead that little shiny golden ticket, that it would change everything.
Rock My Bed takes us back to the beginning with all the characters that we know and have come to love.
It's told from the perspective of both Riff and Aubrey while still following the story of Black Falcon on tour.
We all know they meet backstage after a gig and the sparks fly! Boy do the sparks fly!
These two are the epitome of Hot!! Kinky, smouldering, kindle catching on fire HOT!!
But, don't be fooled, this is not all sex and no story. There is an amazing emotional depth to both the characters and the whole story in general.
Riff AKA Zackary Oliver, is a self confessed man whore. The self deprecating rocker, feels worthy of nothing positive and has a hard time dealing with his feelings.
So, the easiest way to do this is to try and forget all the bad things and just do what makes him forget...Rock out and have sex!
It's not until Aubrey peaks his interest that it makes him question if this is the way he wants to do things for the rest of his life.
It's not going to be plain sailing though. As much as he wants Aubrey, the secrets of his past remind him that he's no good for her and he thinks he's unworthy of any kind of love.

" I'm the guy women have fun with, not the one they settle down with. I'm not good for you kitten. Trust me, I'm a one man heart wrecking crew."

Aubrey is the best friend of Lanie Vance, Super sexy Redhead and the girl who holds Zack Olivers heart in her hands! Who wouldn't want to be her!!
Having always fallen for bad boys who break her heart, she has become one tough chica and decided she just wants some fun. I don't think this ever truly happens for a woman as we crave the
physical and emotional intimacy. She is tired of the meaningless encounters and decides it may just be time to settle down. With this in mind she thinks one last fling with the sexy guitarist will
get it all out of her system and she can start looking for Mr Reliable (how boring does that sound!)
We all know that once you've had expensive champagne, you wouldn't want to go back to wine in a box now would you?!!
For her last hoorah, she decideds to set some ground rules...

" Three Simple rules...
1. I determine the time and the place.
2. You have to make me want you.
3. NO falling in love "

Their chase was so much fun she could have almost had me following her rules!
Sexy, sassy, confident with a kinky side to them both, their relationship was both exciting and heartbreaking.
I wanted to bang their heads together for not giving in to the chemistry that is as plain as the nose on your face!
But, you could see why the reasoning behind their decisions made sense to them.

" The only mistake when it comes to Love, is not going for it "

By far my favorite in the series so far, I can't wait for more from Michelle Valentine and the rest of Black Falcon!

A bed rockin' 4 stars!!!

I was totally surprised by Riff. I was not expecting what I got. I anticipated a angsty read full for him humping anything with tits, but what I got was a man that was so broken by his past that it made my heart hurt.

Riff, guitarist for Black Falcon.

A man that hands out golden tickets to groupies backstage
[image error]

And a man who covets his Oreo's because they remind him of something that he lost.

But then he meets her. The professional looking girl backstage that says no. The girl that is going to make him work for it - chase it. One night is all he thinks he needs to get her out of his system.

But Aubrey is has had her shares of bad-boys. She is certain her life needs the to change and she needs safe. But she can't get Riff out of her head. She knows he will Rock Her Bed, so one last hurrah won't do any damage - right?

Passion. Lust. Desire. One night full of sexing it up didn't work. RIff and Aubrey were certain they just needed to get each other out of their systems. But they find themselves texting, talking and seeing each other as time allows between her work and his tour.

But Riff has self-doubt about whether he deserves to be loved or even if he can love something without destroying it. Riff had a rough life and a secret that he needs to open up about, but he is worried she will run if she knows. If she figures out how she can do so much better than the rock star known for being a man-whore.

Aubrey has her work cut out for her. She has a moody rock star in her bed, her thoughts and one that is sliding into her heart.

I adored Lanie and Noel's story. I loved Riff's. It was unexpected in such a good way. Where you had angst and nervousness with Noel & Lanie - you had more of a heart-swelling read for Riff and Aubrey. I love a good broken guy - even better that he is a rock star. Riff's layers were peeled back and you saw a vulnerable guy. I loved that this overlapped along with book one. Seeing Riff's POV from the Sophie disaster made me see his side clearer. It also allows you to see what happens aver Rock The Band. Michelle Valentine has made us swoon for yet another rock star.

4 shiny stars!!

Must admit I was a bit nervous going into this one as in the first 2 books I did not like Riff. I thought am I going to be able to read about a character I detest??? Well the answer was yes and yes I did really enjoy his story. In fact, this made his behaviour understandable to a certain degree. It was fab to get his back story and such a sad story it was too. I felt for the poor guy, he is extremely broken, carries a lot of guilt around and believes that he is unlovable, as everyone he loves leaves.

Aubrey was a great character anyway and she just made the book!! We knew all about her anyways so not much more was revealed but the way that she carried herself in this book was great. She does make a few shaky decisions that I could have throttled her for but then as usual, they come to their senses eventually. Why anybody thinks they should end up with somebody safe that they have no physical or emotional attraction to is beyond me, whether they are a bad boy or not love should be the most important.

Riff does not get off scot free either, he also makes some crazy decisions but luckily for him his band mates make him see the light!! The thing that made Riff for me during this book is what he asked Aubrey to call him when they were together..his real name..(sigh!!)..he wanted to make sure that she knew she was with him, not Riff the rocker and that just made him even more endearing, the fact that he needed and wanted the differentiation was super cute!!

The instant messaging and texting between the two of them is super sweet and at points hilarious and adds to their relationship. These two were meant for each other and you felt that coming off the page, Riff was greatly misunderstood in the first two books and I am so glad that we got to see the real Riff in this one.

The sex scenes in this book are sexier and a bit more risqué with some soft BDSM and kinky sex, but I feel that the sex scenes in all the books are not Michelle Valentine’s forte, she excels in the back stories, the relationships, the build up and drawing you in to the characters.

This book does not carry on from the last but actually from the Las Vegas concert, this is fab as we get some questions answered that were outstanding from the first book. Aubrey’s boss in this book is highly irritating and I was so glad he got his just deserts at Noel and Lanie’s wedding, couldn’t have happened to a nicer man!

So looking forward to the twins story too, we saw them a lot more in this book and they are highly entertaining and extremely interesting…think there could be a lot of fun to be had with these two, especially if Michelle is taking us down a more kinky side with her writing.

Cannot wait for the next instalment!!

ORIGINALLY POSTED ON  AFTERWORDS!

Why I Couldn't Get Past the First Few Pages

Warning: Vulgar language will be used in this post, which I don't normally do. Please stop reading if that may bother you.

I'm not going to hide the fact I've only read a few pages of this novel. Hence, I'm not going to presume to talk about the story itself or this book as a whole, because clearly I have no freakin' idea about any of it.

What I am going to do is discuss the buttons these few pages managed to push, and why I decided it was just not for me in such a short amount of time.

I've made my way to this book in the midst of a quest to read a good rocker story. God knows I have plenty of the genre on my kindle, from my mad one-clicking days. But most of them are not the ones I'm looking for - the ones with a depth bigger than how deep his cock can thrust into her and how good it feels.

What I am not looking for, at any point or time is:

A Hero who disrespects women, using the dashing "your tits are amazing" as an opener, followed by giving the woman a pass to his room so he could fuck her brains out for the night.

A hero who seems to have zero disregard to what the woman in question may want, ignoring her outrage at his actions and allowing himself the liberty of kissing her.

A hero who is certain this type of proposition and behavior is simply irresistible because, rock sex god or whateve.

A hero who, when talking to a friend about his friend's ex, thinks to himself that what he would do in the same position is fuck that old flame just to prove he still can.

A hero who essentially thinks of women as nothing more than objects to sate his carnal impulses with, which is why his "girlfriend's" cheating supposedly didn't hurt him as much as who she did it with because she was just a convenience so he won't have to look hard for a groupie every night.

What. The. Frak.

I don't want to read of a hero like this falling in love and being redeemed, I need to read about a hero like that being slapped and perhaps even put in jail for harassment, thank you very much!

But above everything, I do not want to read of a heroine who, after having such a distasteful, disrespectful and plain disgusting encounter with this bastard still thinks he's hot (this should be a turn off, lady!) and tells herself she needs to stay away from him otherwise her sanity and her heart are in danger.

It's the heart part the sealed the deal for me.

Are you fucking kidding me?! Your heart is in danger because of that disgusting buffoon? Hell no. At this point, there is nothing that should indicate for you that your heart is in any peril. The only danger is to his balls.

The mere fact this woman can still find this man compelling is just beyond me.

I'm sure the book does it's best to take back all this and show us his redeeming features (which, hopefully for everyone who actually read this book, is not his sexual prowess) and make him a better man, a man this woman will be forgiven for loving, but I was simply not interested in any of that after this puke worthy beginning.

ROCK MY BED was everything I had hoped it would be. After meeting Riff and Aubrey in Rock the Heart, I needed to know more about them. I fell in love with them, like I knew I would.

I'm going to start with Riff. Riff, aka Zach, is truly a complex character. He's funny, cocky, wounded, and definitely sexy. In the first book we learn that Riff's past was rough, but we don't know the details until this book. His past plays a big part in how guarded he is with relationships. It's difficult for him to let people get too close. Aubrey tests his boundaries though. He's never met anyone like her and he's determined to have her. Sure, it starts off as a physical attraction, but after one night with her, he can't stop thinking about her.

I loved Aubrey in the first book. It appeared that she was just in for a good time with Riff, and she was initially. She never expected that she would fall for him. He's exactly the kind of guy she's trying to avoid getting involved with. She's been hurt in the past by "bad" boys like Riff, so she has a hard time trusting that they could have something real.

What I loved about them as a couple was that they were both so openly vulnerable with each other. It may seem like they played push and pull for a bit, but during that time they get to know each other. Watching them "catch feelings" and learn to trust in each other and their relationship was truly great. Then, there was the sexy. WOW! HOT! They are both passionate people, so naturally their sex scenes were pretty hot!

Overall, I loved ROCK MY BED! Not only did I love getting to know Riff and Aubrey, but I loved that their story ran parallel to Noel and Lane's. I felt like I really started to get to know the group more in this book too. I'm super excited to read Trip and Tyke's books too! If you like sexy love stories about rockers, definitely check this series out! It's become a favorite of mine!

Quotes:
~What the hell happened? Did he really just offer to fuck me for sport and then kiss me breathless?-Loc 76/ARC

~She nods and kisses my lips. "Tonight, I'm yours. Make love to me."
My heart bangs inside my chest. Mine. I've never had that with someone. Even if this is only an illusion created by my fucked up brain to feel love somehow, I'll take it--one night to feel normal and loved.-Loc 1220/ARC

~"I want you to know, I meant what I said earlier. I love you with very inch of my broken soul. I know it's a mess, but I'm giving you all the pieces of my shattered heart and hoping you can make sense of it. I love you, Kitten." He kisses my lips and warmth surrounds my entire body as I feel the safest I've ever been wrapped in his arms.-Loc 3615/ARC

So I have to admit, I took a break from band books for a few days before I read this… and I am glad I did. When this book was waiting for me when I returned from Band Book hiatus, I was so thankful. Michelle Valentine did it again! This book is wonderful.
As much as I love Lanie and Noel, their story really was just the beginning… I loved Riff and Aubrey! Now this is a great match. Normally, the first thing I do is point out all of the flaws in the female lead of a book and tell you it made the book so much more, but this book didn’t need all of those flaws in the female lead. I think Aubrey held her own and I really liked her character. She was strong and passionate and knew what she wanted…until she didn’t want to admit it… but let’s face it, we have all been there at one point or another.
Riff…oh where to begin with him… first of all let’s just get this out of the way, he’s a hot lead guitarist for the band Black Falcon. Now, with that in mind, what I loved about Riff was his flawed character. He wasn’t the night in shining armor and he wasn’t perfect and he had a tragic past, but I think all of those things made him such a phenomenal character. He stood out amongst other rockers in books and definitely made a statement or two along the way. I will tell you that the “golden ticket” stuff really grated on me though. I thought it was rude and demeaning of women, but that was all part of his “charm” in the beginning.
I loved watching this relationship grow and develop. These two were perfect for each other from the beginning, but was that electrifying touch enough to make it work?
The story line was easier to follow on the heels of Rock The Heart and Rock The Band, however, I didn’t feel like I needed either of those books to understand this one, which is sometimes hard to do when the characters mix over from book to book. This one definitely works as a stand-alone book as well as part of a series. I like that Michelle Valentine was able to do that with such ease. I didn’t feel as though I had to reference the first book to understand this one.
This was a great story with a lot of passion and I really enjoyed it.

I felt like this book could've been a lot more smooth and developed. I didn't like how the book flowed; it seemed to be a bit disjointed. It would've helped if the author had made the issues a bit more complex. As it was, the heroine, Aubrey, seemed spineless and juvenile to read about. She had her own thoughts but her actions weren't really her own. If a guy asked her to go out with her, she would. It seemed like the book was just a series of her getting told to do different things. When she does stand up for herself and do things on her own, they are juvenile and very high-school-esque. But in the end, nobody in this book really gets mad and stays mad. Aubrey more or less stabs her best friend in the back at work, but nothing ever really comes of it. Aubrey and the hero, Zach, betray each other, but all is fine and dandy after a few sentences are said. Most any conflicts that arose in the book only lasted for a paragraph when they were addressed by the characters, they were all just too immature to address them for too many chapters. This book could've been half the length it was. The one conflict that did last for a while, and did have some depth, is still a mystery if it got resolved. Riff and his dad have a lot of issues, that involve his dad exorting Riff's guilt for a deposit in his own bank account. But in the end, Riff tries to make a deal to get him to go and away and have his problem be gone, but we never really know if such a thing happen. On top of that, Riff never really discussed him and his dad's situation with Aubrey, so it just made their relationship seem a little more superficial, that he could discuss his past, but not his current issues with the girl he's in love with.

ARC provided by author in exchange for an honest review.

Well, that was one hell of a rollercoaster! I think I’m going to have a book hangover from Rock My Bed for probably the next 3 months. Wow.

Michelle Valentine continues to amaze me with her characters and stories. I was a little nervous going into this one because I did not like Riff. At all. But it turns out that I liked Riff a lot more than I thought I did. In fact, I’m still thinking about him, his hotness and his naughtiness. Again, I probably will be for the next 3 months. I’ll actually go as far as saying that I like Riff even more than Noel. AND I actually liked Aubrey more than Lane.

I enjoyed the Rock the Heart and Rock the Band quite a bit, but this one was even better! Not only did I like Riff and Aubrey, but I absolutely loved their story. I loved Riff’s tortured past. That sounds mean. But whatever, it made for good reading. I just thought his quirks and faults were very endearing. And I LOVED his personality. He was so hot…and dirty. But dirty hot. Like dirty hot lava hot.

I definitely recommend this series to everyone and even more so Rock My Bed. You’ll love Aubrey, you’ll love Riff, you’ll love their story and damn it, you’ll just love this book! Go! Read it! What are you waiting for?!

Good to catch up with Riff & Aubrey's story, alongside the timeline we had seen previously in Noel & Laine's story.

I liked the softness that Riff revealed, and understanding the reasons behind his inability to show those emotions. I liked Aubrey's character, I liked the storyline...I just liked..not loved..

The majority of this was set in the same time frame as the first book. Loved Riff!!!

I wished this a bit longer, had a bit more drama and a bit more steamy hot scenes. Lol... that sounds like another rocker book I'm thinking about. Still worth a read.

“When I found you, I found my heart, Kitten. You’re the one putting me back together. You make me feel alive.”

Aubrey Jenson knows what it is like to date the bad boys. She has had her heart broken over and over by them. Riff is Black Falcon’s lead guitarist and is no different. He is a Mohawk sporting, tattooed bad boy and sexy as hell.

“I really wish you didn’t think so poorly of yourself. You’re an awesome person and friend. I mean, you warned Lanie about the baby situation. I wish you could see what I see.”

After a few extremely hot nights together Aubrey returns to New York. Trying to get Riff and the passion she felt with him out of her mind she starts dating Isaac. Isaac is a successful representive at Center Stage Marketing and also happens to be her boss. He has shown extreme interest in her and is being extremely patient. He is everything she should want, handsome, sweet, very well put together. He is everything in a man parents would want for their daughter.

“I want to be with you. I think I have since that first night.”

When her best friend Lanie gets married to Black Falcon’s lead singer Noel, Aubrey finds herself facing Riff and also finds herself battling her feelings for him. They haven’t had any problems when it comes to their chemistry. The problem is does she take the chance on the one she loves or the one who is safe and would good for her?

“You were never that to me. I can’t explain it, but right from the start I knew you were special. There’s something about you that pulls me in. No matter how much I try to force myself to stay away from you, I can’t. I’m no good for you. I know that, but damn it I can’t help myself from wanting you.”

Aubrey is a beautiful young lady with a promising future at Center Stage Marketing. Feeling the pressure to find Mr. Right, she decides to live it up one last time with Black Falcon’s guitarist, Riff. What she didn’t plan on was having an intense connection with him. The chemistry they share is like watching a pyrotechnic fireworks show.. It is intense, Hot, loud, beautiful and EXPLOSIVE! The only problem is that her heart has been broken many times before with guys exactly like Riff. Riff isn’t the kind of guy who does relationships. While back in New York she tries to forget about Riff by dating Isaac. Things are going slow but ok. He is nice enough but he isn’t Riff.

Riff, Riff, Riff. Such a tortured soul, with the biggest damn heart. There is so much more to him than meets the eye. With a tragic past and an a$$hole of a father, Riff has come to believe he isn’t worthy of love. *Insert feisty red headed Aubrey here* Not used to being brushed off Riff finds himself intrigued. Not only is Aubrey beautiful, she is smart and sexy.

Although their time together is limited he finds himself feeling things he has never felt before *insert those pesky unworthy feelings here* Aubrey is a breath of fresh air and the connection he feels with her scares him yet makes him want more.

Although the road is bumpy, Aubrey and Riff learn what it is like to follow their hearts and to let go of the past.

Michelle Valentine has once again captured your heart with Riff. How can you NOT fall in love with him? It was nice being able to see things from his p.o.v. especially with the whole Sofie fiasco. It was also nice seeing a side of Riff that no-one really knew existed.

A must read. Cheers to you Michelle for a job well done!

Yep this sealed the deal. Zachary Benjamin Oliver aka "Riff" is one hot piece of man! I loved the fact that this story is told by Aubrey and Riff following along Noel and Lanie's story. I think that just made the connection with the characters that much stronger.

So we start out with Aubrey waiting on Lanie to talk to Noel and she catches sight of Riff signing autographs. He catches her eye and comes up to her and gives her one of his famous "golden tickets" and says to her "Meet me out by our tour bus. Let me have just one night to fuck you senseless. I guarantee I'll have you speaking in tongues before the nights through." Of course she wants to tell him to go to hell, but he quickly shuts her up by kissing her senseless and walks away leaving her stunned.

 photo goldenticket.gif
Aubrey returns to work which just happens to be Center Stage Marketing which is currently doing promotional work for Black Falcon. She finds one of his fan sites and sends him a request and they start talking about meeting up for a "one-night" roll in the hay.

So finally she gets some time off and heads to meet Lanie(and Riff) and fulfill her last hurrah so to speak. They spend the entire night wrapped up in each other and Aubrey knows she has to be careful because he is showing his caring side and she sees his Riff persona for what it is, a persona for the public. She is seeing the man behind that stage name, Zach.

Zach knows Aubrey aka "kitten" is different from any woman he has ever been with and fights his feelings for her because he is dealing with stuff from his past.

I love when a book has both male and female POV because you see what each person is thinking and feeling and you don't have to guess what is going on inside that persons head. Michelle does this effortlessly, and makes you fall head over heels for Zach.

"When I found you, I found my heart, Kitten. You're the one putting me back together. You make me feel alive. You're helping me find my soul again, which is something I thought died years ago."

Now I'm off to read Rock My World and find out what else happens with Aubrey and Zach.
