Warriors Of Poseidon #2

Rate this book

This is a really good series. I still need to get to know the warriors better because not enough has been told about them yet. But we did get to know them a tiny bit more, specially Justice. The plot is terrific though. There were some major cliff hangers and now I'm dying to know what's going to happen. The romance is good, not of the best I have seen in this genre but good. There was even a slow part there in the middle, but very short, I got through it very fast.

I really like this series and I definitely will read book 3 soon. Very soon, lol.

Poseiden’s finest against vampires…I’d like to see that, but I’ll settle for reading about it.

Ven is second in line to the throne, but he doesn’t want it. He is happy being head of the Warrior Academy.

Erin Connor is a witch and knew she was in trouble when she came face to face with Ven. I think we all know where this is going, but I am looking forward to a slip sliding ride to Atlantis.

Ven quickly knew he would stop at nothing to protect her from those who pursue her.

The romance is otherwordly instalove, easy for me to accept in a novel where it is to be expected…which I will leave to you to find out why.

Atlantean, Elven, Vampires, Shapshifters, Witches…you never know who your friends are.

The world and characters are familiar, at least some of them, and I love learning more about them. Danger is always near and that creates suspense and curiosity for me.

Though the storyline is familiar and easy to figure out, I do like surprised lovers, magical love and battles between good and evil.

The romance is steamy and for adults only.

Even though Atlantis Awakening tells Ven and Erin’s story, it leaves us in a pickle with the overall storyline. I recommend reading in order to get the full impact.

I voluntarily reviewed a free copy of Atlantis Awakening by Alyssa Day.

(I can feel it in my thumbs, something evil this way comes),

After read thoughts:

It was clear for me from the beginning that I would like this book more than previous. Simply this one is for Ven, and from the first volume he captured my attention more than his brother. Sure, he is the typical alpha and this can be as annoying as it gets, but still more interesting.
Same goes for Erin. Riley was a bit boring while at least Erin's powers are quite cool. The ability to control gems and hear them sing def is more original than most things you can find in para romance.
Of course, the love story was of the rabbit type. And I don't mean soft and cuddly bunnies, just for hugging. You know. Rabbits. Rabbits do what they do best.

So what actually made this book better than the first was the fact that the story and the characters were more complicated and more entwined than in the first. Volume one was about Conlan and all about him and the rest were kind of... faceless. Now we can really see more of Justice and Alaric, and Daniel – and since I love them all, this makes me happy :) More action from the mysterious double agent, the blue haired beast and the poor little tormented high priest. Poor thing. Knowing that Alaric's book is in the end of the series, it is sort of mean to start his love story from now, but interesting nevertheless. It all result for a lot of fangirl food – dear authors, remember to feed your fans and they will love you and follow you forever.
The mix of vampires, atlants, gods, witches, shapeshifters, fairies and whatever seemed a bit intimidating at first... but it is actually working out and I don't mind it. The story is getting nice and complex, with some serious twists and cliff-hangers – especially in the end of the book. Can you hear the fangirls roar? Let's throw them some extra novels.

Why do I have the feeling I'd love these books more without the romance?
Anyway, again 3 stars from me, but let's say if the first book got 2.75 this one scores 3.40.

This is the second book in the Warriors of Poseison series and this one focuses on Ven, Lord Vengeance, and his soul mate Erin. Erin is a gem singer, which is a rare and lost art, but Erin is being stalked by a master vampire, Caligula, yes that Caligula from all the history books, and they must defeat him, and get an ancient gem that is hidden underneath his lair. Without this gem, Riley and her unborn baby will die, will they get it in time?

This book was great, and a definate improvement on the first book. There was a more indepth story and the characters really came to life for me in this book, especially Justice and Ven. The romance was great and I liked that it didn't drown out the plot line, but rather went along with it.

I am glad though that I have the next book "Atlantis Unleashed" on my shelf waiting for me to read as it ends on a bit of a cliffhanger! The secret revealed at the end of this book ha got me dying to read the next one!

The only point I didn't like about this book was that it ended really abruptly, one minute you seemed to be in the middle of the action in the final face off and the next minute it was the final page.

However, although it left me reeling at the end after the big secret came out I still enjoyed this book immensley, and am already working my way through the next one. (That is why this review is so short I am very eager to be reading the next one!)

***Spoliers Present***
Here we see High Prince Conlan's brother Lord Vengeance fall in love with a witch. But what's different about this series from other romance series that I've read is that the continuing storyline of the vamps and weres wreaking havoc among the humans is much darker than most romances, and much less resolved at the end. It is both good and bad; for those who love the action and the mystery...good. For those (like me) who prefer everything tidied up at the end, too bad. Of the Seven Warriors, it seems they all might get their story, but not all are happy endings...the first book's heroine Riley has a sister who was the leader of the human revolution, but just got turned into a vamp. The goddess killed at the end of the first book wasn't dead (or undead!) but came back and took Ven's fellow warrior (and apparantly half bro!) hostage (ie sadistic love slave...really messed up Conlan, how will Justice win out?) his book is next on my list.
This is a new type of romance for me with a tidy romance story, but with the next book, not-so-tidy...intriguing.

Sweet Vengeance....

What an intriguing, sensual, magical and steamy story full of pain and hope.

Lord Vengeance, or Ven as he is known wants not for women, as a matter of fact what better way to relax after a brutal battle with evil, but to have a night in the arms of a willing woman. When the mighty all powerful Lord Vengeance sets his eyes on the witch his brother the Prince wants him to meet for an alliance, everything else dims for him. The witch may be all toughness, but he can get that out of her and make her pliable to him. He is a mighty warrior of Atlantis, or is he a guppy in her presence?

Erin Conners has one thing in mind, vengeance for the brutal murder of her family 10 years ago by the dreaded vampire Caligula. She may be a powerful witch, but she needs this alliance with the warriors of Atlantis if she is to succeed in her quest. One look at the powerful Lord Vengeance and all her sauciness emerges, but is it just a cover-up for the desire to jump his bones?

Read how they love, fight and sing their way to the source, but will they succeed, or risk losing all they have accomplished?

Oh, the Atlanteans. Major Alphas with the remarkable tendency to find their soulmates within weeks of each other after hundreds of years of alienation from the world above.

First, the good:

STEAMY. This is the word to best describe this book. Atlantis Rising was similar in the steamy part, but was more tender. Thinking back, that is what made these two books strikingly different. It's as if the very spirit of Ven is bound up in the book, no matter whose perspective is dominant.

Now, to move on...

I was not a big fan of the myriad of coincidences that occurred, but at least Alyssa wrote them in a tongue-in-cheek fashion - at one point, one of the characters even commented on the convenient nature of their discovery. This humor is what gave this book three stars instead of two. I was battering it around in my head and decided that Alyssa's sense of humor, prevalent throughout, is worth an extra star, despite the plot reading like an AOL chat room RPG at times. ;)

I'm really looking forward to the third installment. I believe that Justice's story may actually be more interesting than Ven's, by a long shot. Maybe that was what was different for me - I adored Conlan, and Ven seemed to me like an extension of him. I also thought the two women were too similar. The whole you-want-to-dominate-me-but-I-am-a-strong-female-but-not-the-kind-that-will-reject-you-for-your-overprotective-ways-just-tease-you-about-it-with-natural-good-humor thing.

Anyway, Steamy. That's really all you need to know. And Justice in Atlantis Unleashed. Ohhhh yeah. ;)

In Alyssa Day's Atlantis Awakening, book two of her Warriors of Poseidon series, we are introduced to Erin Conners, a gem singer witch who want's revenge for the death of her family. Erin was told by Quinn, the Human leader of the Vampire and Shifter movement, that the Atlantean warriors looked like Greek gods come to life. She agreed with that statement 100% when she first sees Ven.

Ven, the King's Vengeance and second in line to the throne, was immediately attracted to Erin when she walked into the bar that was their meeting place. She was the witch that he was to meet up with to hash out an alliance between their two races. An alliance that they needed to be formed in order to defeat their mutual enemies.

This was a great follow up to Atlantis Rising. The war with the Vampires continues in this book and we get to see all of our old friends from the first book in the series. We even get a closer peak into the live of our favorite Atlanteans on their home turf.

I really liked this book. I loved that we saw more of Conlan and Riley from book one. I think it's awesome when we continue to see glimpses of the previous characters that we fell in love with. I think it adds to the all around experience of the world that the author creates.

Another cool thing about this book was the whole gem singer storyline. It was a totally unique and creative idea of Alyssa Day's and I really enjoyed it.

The world that Alyssa Day has created is jam packed with action and romance. You should add these books to you're TBR list! I know they're on mine!

Ven is an Atlantean warrior who is serving as liaison to the humans in a war waged against the vampires and he’s on a mission to recover the Nereid’s heart and discovers that it will take every ounce of his strength to resist the sexual allure of the beautiful witch chosen to work with him. Filled with vengeance, Erin lives only for the chance as revenge against those who murdered her family, but now she is partnered with a legendary Atlantean whose dark desires threatens to crash through the barriers built around her emotions.

Readers can’t help but be stunned by sizzling chemistry and electrifying excitement of this romance as Erin and Ven struggle to resist the magnetic attraction all while struggling to stay alive against a whole lot of enemies including a majorly vicious vampire that wants Erin for himself. The romance is a powerful and intense and full of emotion and the readers can’t help but be drawn to this couple and their story which is a brilliant mix of passion, excitement, action and suspense.

The fast pace ensures that readers never have a chance to look away from the pages as the vampires wage a continuous siege on the alliance in order to capture Erin and Ven (the evil goddess as set her vile target on him). The action, excitement and suspense of this story is further enhanced by some powerful magic that adds flair to the story as it just might save Queen to be Riley and her unborn child. With all of the high octane excitement and surprising twists in the story, readers can’t possible find a moment to put down this book.

What can I say, I love Ven. The Prince's Vengence if you must.
Nothing like a tall tower of strength and sexy poseidon warrior to keep the story going.
Really, I thought this book of the series was written very well. Ms. Day knows how to weave the story web, supplying you with just enough of all the threads(characters) to keep you intrigued and wanting more. We have our lead character, don't get me wrong. But we also have Alaric, the high priest lurking in the back ground, hurting and in love bitter anguish over Quinn.
And Daniel, known as Drakos, What's up with him?

But mostly in this book we have Ven and the Gem singer/witch Erin. Put together by fate, or Poseidon himself? We aren't sure, but we definately stick around to find out more in this tale...

An excellent read!

Pretty good start to a series. The heroine didn't really come to life for me, but I liked it for the Atlantis lore and I want to see where this series goes. I am definitely intrigued with Justice's character. Why do I always fall for the dark and tortured character in every series?

I'm glad I decided to reread this book to refresh my memory of this series. I'd forgotten what a great story it is. Other than a couple of love scenes at really inappropriate moments (we have to hurry to save everyone but love me first!) the story flowed well.

Atlantis Rising introduced me to a colorful cast of characters and it was evident in the very first pages of Atlantis Awakening that I was going to be in for an incredible ride as the story arc continues. My first thought as I closed this novel was that it isn’t often that I encounter a story that just about appeals to every desire I have as a paranormal reader. Let alone have a heroine who almost outshines the hero…almost. Let me take you on my train of thoughts regarding Atlantis Awakening…

Ven “The King’s Vengeance” is leashed lethal strength encompassed by honor and a warrior’s temperament. To elevate some of his fierce presence he nurtures a gritty humor that spills from him via quick retorts and I wholeheartedly fell for his character. His quick witted replies already hit dead center on the humor reflexes on page one and I don’t think I have laughed so hard as in those first two pages. A quote below this review tells you why.

Erin Connors is a ninth level witch of the Seattle Cirle of Light coven and a gem singer. She is compassion laced with bold vivacity and determined to have her revenge. With Erin as the leading heroine Alyssa Day struck a personal cord with me. The way this author wrote up scenes where the gems sing to Erin and the emotions that spiraled forth from these scenes echoed with me as the reader. The first time Erin opens her melodious throat to sing made goose bumps skitter across my skin in reaction. Some say music is equal to emotion and this story was steeped with this kind of emotional display. Melodies voice joy, passion, sadness and it adds a deeper layer of profound meaning to certain events. Alyssa Day made Atlantis Awakening soar with her gem singer and I completely fell in love with the concept.

Erin is an unforgettable character whose melody resonated and rocked my world. The risk was that Ven would play second violin while I was so enamored with Erin. Well, no chance of that because Ven holds his ground with a delectable combination of humor and Atlantean power, and uses all of his talents to fight for a greater purpose. His need for Erin, the soul-melding, is something he can’t admit at first but feels nonetheless and showcases his strength and vulnerabilities at the same time. The romantic growth from denial to acceptance with both Ven and Erin was a mix of sensuous passion and opening up to feel all the soul-melding can offer, for better or for worse. The way Ven felt Erin gems sing was utterly beautiful and gripping and taking me along for the ride. They opposite each other in such a complementing way that it ultimately delivers a romance that leaps off the pages with their all consuming passion.

I was somewhat caught off guard by the intensity of the romance but that wasn’t all that thrived in this novel. The plotlines of evil versus good and justice versus retribution was double-edged and took me in a maelstrom of emotions. Caligula was the epitome of evil with a surprising re-appearance of another fiend. Then there is also Drakos who makes me doubt his true intentions, somehow he has a bit of a “split personality” going on and he ups the stakes in a formidable way. You never know where he goes but he makes the ending all the more interesting. I had moments from laughing out loud to blurry eyes, from burning hate to being swept away in love. The plot enhanced the overall impact of the story, it worked with every element to deliver a high-stake ending.

A romance, a plot, vibrant dialogues, nothing matters if the characters aren’t well drawn and do not affect you in some way, may it be love or hate or something in between. There isn’t one member in the cast of characters that isn’t vital to tell the overall story. Conlan and Riley’s relationship is more deepened and fills this story with nerve-wracking news. Justice becomes more interesting with every chapter in his enigmatic behavior. Christophe also drew my attention with particular comments and Aleric always has been a person of interest. Yet it is the situation regarding Quinn that is going from interesting to complex and very intriguing. All these ties that bind her bring incredible possibilities and bittersweet decisions for her to make.

I am amazed by how the various elements worked together. The writing style of Alyssa Day is easy going but still packs an impact and instantly sweeps you away to her world. In that world every single thread creates a dynamic tapestry. Of Erin discovering her gem-singer side, voicing melodies that create strings of healing or blasts of destruction. It leads to battle; it leads to undiluted vicious evil as solutions need to be found. I already noticed this in Atlantis Rising but once again Day can portray pure evil to the core which I can intensely hate as a reader. It makes me root for the opposite side and feel gleefully satisfied at the end. Secondary characters can be supporting or they can add another thread that becomes significant in its own way. Justice, Quinn, Drakos, Jack and Aleric are just a few of these secondary characters who have yet to tell their own tale but are already so important. There are intersections in this story where various things come together and made my emotions swell to greater heights. It made me cry out for certain things not to happen but they did anyway. It made Erin as a gem-singer whirl in resplendent passions and allowed Ven to display his raw strength fueled by his feelings. The ending was heart-pounding good and I am so very thankful I have Atlantis Unleashed on my shelves to continue in this series!

Atlantis Awakening is an addictive combination between the development of characters, both individually and as a group, an alluring build up romance and a plot that worked from the beginning. From back to back I was enthralled and will meet up with Lord Justice soon!

Quote which made me laugh-out-loud:
The vamp leading the gang – flock? Herd? What the hells did you call a group of vamps this big? – of vamps that had cornered them in the alley and hissed, making sure to show a mouthful of fang. “Prepare to die, human. You are vathhhtly outnumbered,” it threatened.

A sentence or three later – Ven:

“We’re three of Poseidon’s finest. Second, you’re the one’s gonna die, so you can kith my athhh,” he mocked.

Quote Ven:
Ven had joked with Justice about women for more than two centuries, but suddenly, with that one sentence, something changed. Someone changed.
Ven changed.

Quote Erin:
The opals sang to her, to him, to them both; sang a sonata of joy and home. But the emeralds pounded their thunderous desire and need over and around her and Ven until she thought the universe would surely explode…

Quote Ven:
She was nothing that he ever wanted – human, gem-singer, and witch.
She was everything he needed.

Quote Erin:
…”maybe Conlan is more of a modern thinker than his brother. Ven is a cross between some marauding Viking lord and…and a pirate! Or a big hairy caveman.”

Atlantis Awakening was a rich quotable book for me and I didn’t want to deny you a single one!

This book is the second in the series. The complexity and suspense arising from the mysteries hinted at in the previous book kept me reading late into the night. Ven is a warrior and Erin is a Gem Singer. Each has regrets, worries and family that is lost. Their enemy is evil. This is their story and I found myself caught up in the emotions and suspense. I can hardly wait to read the next because the surprises and mysteries continue.

Amazing story! I'm a Greek/Roman mythology and legend lover. The Atlantis Series really gives me what I need: mix of legend and mythology into one book! Atlantis Awakening is the second book of the series. I find the first book awesome and I waited almost a month until I was able to get the second one! (Thanks to Amazon.com)

At first, I didn't jump into the action: even if there was plenty of action! I don't know, maybe I wasn't in a good mood when I started Atlantis Awakening. I have it to put it aside a couple of time at the beginning. But after 3 or 4 chapters I wasn't able to put it away! It's was hard because I was reading other really good book at the same time!

The second book started right after the first book end (or some months later). Almost all the characters are stuck in the same action were we left them in the last book. So I recommend you to start the series with the first book: Atlantis Rising. You will find it more enjoyable this way! A lot of characters from the first book don’t receive a description in the second book. You may not be able to understand all the meaning and the importance of each character if you didn't read the first one.

Ven and Erin are the principal characters of Atlantis Awakening.

Ven is Conlan (King to-be) brother. He's also the King's Vengeance (the perfect role for him) and he's the macho guy, who gets who he wants and never gets involved intimately into a real relationship. It's always one night and that's pretty much what he want and need. Until he find Erin. A witch with some supernatural power and as you may find out, the power to melt Ven's heart. I was eager to read about this character and I really like what the author decided to do with him. We do not know more about him in this story.

I love Ven's possessiveness and macho side because for my part I loved to read about the big guy who's falling in love for the little beauty. He's very protective and he will do everything he can to protect he's precious witch.

I enjoy the kick-ass attitude of Erin. Seeing Ven's turning into a ''caveman'' toward Erin, so he might protect her, really makes me think about some highlanders characters. That tough make me laugh and I really enjoy reading that Erin doesn't back down.

I really love the sad story and the past of Erin. She's pretty stuck in a mess, but she finds her way and survives in this world full of new creatures as vampires, witch, shape-shifters... I was amaze by the imagination and the creativity of the author about Erin character. Honestly I didn't expect that! So I was pretty in the book when I knew what Erin really is! (I won't tell you! :))

I was surprise to find out more about Justice character: Another huge turn out for this second book! Now I really want to read the next book of the series because it's Justice story! Oh my, a really unpredictable ending! A lot of surprise thru this book! Always amaze with news situations, news characters, and news possibilities! Alyssa Day is a great author and I know I will read her entire series. She known’s how to hook the reader.

The cover is wonderful. I love the mix of color and the fact that we don't see the face of Ven's character. So we are able to imagine who we want. Oh yeah! I also love the tattoo design and its meaning.

After I was able to read the first book in the series, I was instantly hooked. So I bought Atlantis Awakening through Audible. After listening to the second in the series, I know that I am going to love this series. I have always loved mythology, and the way that Alyssa Day has mixed paranormal with Greek mythology and some spicy romance, absolutely draws in the reader. The story is about the younger brother on Conlin, Lord Vengeance. Ven has always had the priority of protecting his brother at any cost. But on a mission, he encounter a witch who is in trouble, and saves her from being kidnapped. Erin is a gem singer, and a powerful witch, and joins forces with Ven. At first its a job, but then a sizzling passion erupts, and a powerful connection binds them stronger together, a bond that connects their souls. Erin never imagined that when she met Ven her life would change forever. But there is a powerful vampire rising up, a vampire that could destroy everything they hold dear.

Atantis Awakening is the second installment in the Warriors of Poseidon series. Since its a audio book it took a bit longer than normal to get through it, but a part of me just didn't want the story to end. I loved Ven and Erin together. They were practically explosive together. You put a powerful warrior of Poseidon and a powerful witch, and there tends to be some fireworks. Ven is the type of hero you want in your life. Sexy, powerful, passionate and willing to fight for the woman he loves. Erin is no fainting flower herself. Erin is more powerful than she realizes. In the beginning I wasn't sure how much I would like her, but once the story started to develop more, she grew on me. The relationship that forms between Ven and Erin is intense at times. I love a alpha male and a feisty heroine. They are constantly bickering, and it was very amusing, and quite hilarious at times. These two together were golden, and I loved the way they sparked whenever they were near each other.

Overall I couldn't help but fall in love with Atlantis Awakening, and I think it was just as good as the first one. It did leave a bit of a cliffhanger a bit, and I don't want to spoil anything for those that haven't had a chance to read this series yet. However I really enjoyed seeing this couple be together, and there was definitely some intensity mixed with-quite a few action packed scenes that gets the blood boiling and is guaranteed to keep you at the edge of your seat. The love story between Ven and Erin was romantic and sensual and riveting. Alyssa Day is a master in her stories that enthrall her readers into a world of magic, sensuality and beautifully written love stories. CAPTIVATING!!!

~ 4 Awakening Stars ~

Atlantis Awakening is book two in the Warriors of Poseidon series by Alyssa Day. This is a good follow after the first book Atlantis Rising. We get lots of action, adventure, Hot Atlantan men, and women who complement them.

Ven, the King's Vengeance, head of the warrior training academy and second in line to the throne of Atlantis. He is pure alpha warrior.

Erin, a witch, gem singer which is a rare and a lost art. She does not know who she is, until the high witches in the coven tell her of her heritage.

This book was great! Definitely an improvement on the first book. I found it hard to put this one down. We get more of an in-depth story and character development. The romance was wonderful. Their are some great new developments with our Hot Atlantan Warriors. Major twist with Justice that made me go wow I did not see that coming. I liked seeing Conlan and Riley from Atlantis Rising. We learn they are having a baby and things are not going so well with the pregnancy. I liked seeing more of Atlantis and learning about a new Goddess with the arrival of our gem singer.

Atlantis Awakening gives us lots of twist, surprises, and new developments. Ms. Day has created an interesting world with action and romance. Now I’m hooked and can’t wait to read on and find out what happens with Justice and all the others in this series. You should add these books to you're TBR list!

*rolls eyes endlessly* Wow. I don't know why I keep torturing myself and reading different versions of the same old tired story .

This has almost all the things I hate in a novel:

-Insta-love (lame)
-Weak female needing overly alpha male to rescue her
-Typical virgin storyline
- Mating frenzy nonsense
-Mediocre world building/ poor plot
-Typical martyr view
-Horrible attempts at humour/banter
- Short sighted, vapid characters with absolutely no depth
- Horrible cover illustration ( I should have looked at that picture and known better)

I could go on but really my main point is that it's a poorly done take on a story thats been told hundreds of times

Examples:

"She was nothing that he'd ever wanted—human, gem singer, and witch.- She was everything he'd ever needed." (known her less than a full 48 hours)

"She calmed, finally realizing on a soul-deep level that mere time had nothing to do with the need she felt for this man. It transcended the mundane reality of minutes or hours or days." (known him for less than 3 days)

"My butt is way too round," she said. "It's a family trait, so I can't really hate it, but facts are facts." He tightened his arms around her so that she was pressed against the very hard, very unmistakable evidence of his desire. "Your butt , as you so inelegantly name this rounded temptation, is as perfectly curved as the rest of your body." (ugh. I just can't with this)

ROLLS EYES

*also the words triumph/s/ed/ and roar/ing/ed/ily are used wayyyyy too much

Erin (witch, gem singer) meets Ven (Atlantean warrior) and plan to take down Caligula (master vampire). I liked this story (series) because even for the multiple storylines and character cutaways you still have a rich feeling of storytelling and can't wait to get finished and continue with the next book in the series. Atlantis Unleashed is Justice's story. His long blue braid always had me a little bit curious about "is he for real?" So I think we learn more about his background in the next book. I also have yet to read the 2 novellas connected to this series. I hate that Alyssa Day does not have more books out there to catch up on. I like the whole Atlantis hero based storyline.

I did not like this one as much as the first but all up a very good read.

Im still dissapointed with the slight attempts of getting to know the characters. I really like to get to know the characters and feel as if they are a part of my family (in my own bizaro world) otherwise the story doesnt feel as real and you feel diconnected from the whole experience.

I feel the author spends a lot of the writing on the action and events than the emotional side and the romance seems to feel rushed like an after thought to put in to keep readers happy.

Although I criticize this I still find the story interesting and fast paced and am still looking forward to carrying on with the rest of the series.

This story has a lot more action and more darkness laced through the story than the first book, Atlantis Rising. Ven and Erin make a good couple. Erin is a witch one with very special powers and Ven in the King's Vengence, second in line for the Atlantean Crown. Their awakening for each other makes for a good love story.
