Moonstruck #4

Wolf Moon

Rate this book
Sean Donaldson, former combat medic and demolition expert, answers an SOS from an old Army buddy and rides smack dab into the middle of a conspiracy. Murder and kidnapping are just the tip of the iceberg. Going undercover with a biker gang seems the quickest solution but Sean’s best intentions are complicated by Annie Simmons and her son, Cody.

Annie is a waitress at the Half Dollar Bar and Grill just scraping by to provide a better life for her son. She doesn’t want a man in her life, especially a scary dude like “Boomer,” the big biker who steals a part of her heart. What she doesn’t know about the lies he’s told can hurt her…and put Cody in danger.

Secrets, lies, and betrayals are more personal under the full moon but when a Wolf fights for his heart, he’ll risk his life to make sure the family he loves survives.

Warning: When it’s the month of the Wolf Moon, anybody who gets between a moonstruck Wolf and his mate deserves what they get. Blood, sex, and four-letter words dead ahead.

Sean Donaldson spoke too soon in Hunter's Moon. He said he never wanted to be Moonstruck. Too late. What I really liked about Sean was his care and compassion for a little boy in need of a father figure, or just a man willing to treat him like a little man. Sean's mission is to find a missing Wolf, but he runs across Annie and she seems to be right in the middle of something sinister. Someone wants the Wolves out of the way and they seem to have an insider on their side. This makes the fight even more personal than in the other books. Sean usually just blows stuff up and he's good, but Annie steals his heart even as she runs from the "monster" he is. I loved this story and how Ms. James dealt with a human faced with a "werewolf". How would you react if the guy you liked turned fuzzy and snarled when anyone got too close? Great story and great storytelling as always.

Great to reread this series once again.
I had bought and read this book quite a few years ago but my review is missing.
Great next segment in this series with a very interesting twist in regards to one of the baddies.
Cannot say I am a fan of Annie due to her ignorant behaviour but loved Cody. What a smart sweetie he is.
Sean was great and I loved having the team coming together.
Hated what happened to Danny and hope Sally will be okay.
Will be diving into the next book.

NOOOOO!!!!!!!!!! I'm so not ready for this book to be over!!! I need more Ms. James!

Another great installment in the Moonstruck series. I have been (im)patiently waiting for Sean's story for a while now and am happy to say I was not disappointed! (no shock there!) I thought Annie was the perfect mate for Sean and I loved her son Cody! I loved getting more story on the Black Root issue and can't wait to see how the next story plays out!

Dear Ms. James, I hate to bug you but could you please hurry and publish the next book!!! :)

Too short! I enjoy this series, but none of the books are long enough. I just never get to know the characters as much as I'd like and the stories always finish up too quickly. That being said, this is well written and flows nicely, albeit quickly.

Family first

When a brother calls, you go help him out, that's what this story is about. The evil chasing these wolves is now after their mates and they won't take that lying down. There is honor, loyalty, strength and love displayed in these stories and this is another fine example of that.

Saving a fellow teammate/wolf is Sean's mission. He ends up finding his mate even though he's insisted he'll never be moonstruck. Annie and her young son, Cody, unexpectedly worm their way into his heart. The evil Black Root continues to rear its ugly head and a new enemy is identified. Great reading!

I’ve been waiting for Sean’s story since he first appeared in this series. Something about him just grabbed my heart. I couldn’t wait for him to finally find his mate, and I loved watching him fall. As he was in the small town to help out his friend Danny, it wasn’t the best time for his wolf to finally recognize his mate. Annie is attracted to Sean when she first meets him, yet she can’t reconcile her attraction to the tough-guy biker “Boomer”. He does keep the other bikers from messing with her, and even comes to her rescue when her car dies. Plus, her son Cody loves Boomer from the moment they meet. Annie can tell there is something more to Boomer, but isn’t prepared for the truth when she first finds out.

Sean and Annie had amazing chemistry together. Of course, Sean quickly realizes his feelings for Annie and Cody could put them in danger. He still hasn’t located Danny and knows he has to find a way to protect Annie and Cody while he figures out what is going on. Not that Sean has to do everything alone. He gets the help he needs from several of his pack mates for both protection and locating Danny, and even has Cody in his corner when it comes to winning Annie’s heart.

I totally understood Annie being hesitant when she found out Sean was a wolf. Of course since I’d love him from the moment he appeared on the page, I got a little upset she didn’t see him like I did. However, I knew she was strong enough to handle anything, and that included Sean and his pack.

I felt that Silver James totally delivered with Wolf Moon, and am already counting down the days until the next book in the Moonstruck series. For more information about Silver James and her books, check out her website.

Howling awesome! Maybe the best story in the series!

Absolutely love this series! This family of alpha wolves that are brothers in arms, pack members, and thief wives are characters that I found and love! Math each book I learn more about them, see them in sometimes a different light but one thing remains true throughout all the books an alpha wolf loves his wife, his family, is devoted to them, protective over them to the point of thumping chests!

Absolutely cant wait until the next book! When they story continues and the characters continue to grow develop along with the plot and the tension! With each book it gets thicker more palatable to the point of nail biting good! So much so you want to scream when you realize the book has come to an end yet the story continues! Glad there is more so you can once again get a look into the lives of the characters you've come to love but also sad that there isn't more now!

A must read! Love every book! I want a wolf of my own!

I love this series! True alpha male werewolves finding their mate and doing anything to keep them safe even when they think they are monsters. Sean aka Boomer is looking for his team mate Danny. He is to meet him in a bar and when he finds himself aching for Annie he doesn't know how to control himself. He thinks of her constantly but he has no time to find his mate now not while Danny is missing. Annie is driving him crazy with her scent and her hot body. Finally he gives in and starts hanging out with her and her son Cody. Cody falls in love with him and he knows his secret. But when Annie sees him shift she thinks he is a monster and needs to protect herself and Cody. But when they get kidnapped and Sean does all he can to keep him safe she realizes maybe he isn't so bad after all.

I love this series and can't get enough. I look every day to see when the next book will be out. Please hurry!!

I've had a thing for the Sean (the hero) since he made his first appearance in an earlier book, and Ms. James more than did him justice in his own story. Fast paced action, well-fleshed characters, a hero and heroine you can want to know better, evil bad guys you just want to see pay, and a cute kid to boot. Plus, I totally didn't see that last part with Annie and Cody coming. (Okay, I kinda had an inkling, but then I got distracted so when it did happen, I wasn't expecting it.)

I thought Hunter's Moon was my favorite, but this replaced it. Each book in this series keeps getting better. I can't wait to see what she has in store for the Wolves in her next book.

My only negative is these aren't in paperback (yet) so I can have them on my shelves.

Very disappointing...I really like the series and was looking forward to this next installment. The premise was fine but the execution was not. It was disjointed, with too much repetitive wordiness in places, then not enough time taken with the story to justify a step. Perhaps the author rushed this to publication, but it really would have benefited from an editor and a bit more time.

I really liked this one, it seemed a bit longer than the others and it really started to get into the whole Black Root conspiracy. My only issue was with Annie. At the end, she has been totally against Sean since discovering what he is, but then literally from one moment to the next just changes her mind and decides she's okay with it.

Not a bad story, I loved the concept of the story but there were aspects I didn't like! I loved the fact that Cody loved Sean(Boomer) uncondionally and the way Sean treated him, I think that Sean & had good chemistry but there was too much 'I don't want a mate', 'she is my mate', 'she can't be my mate', 'his a monster' and I think it should have had an epilogue at the end!
