From Chicago North Into Peril

Rate this book
At 8:27 p.m. on August 21, 1959, a ferocious thunderstorm contributed to the devastation of the lives of five visitors from the Chicago area traveling by small plan over Northern Wisconsin. This event plunged the residents of Land O' Lakes, WI and the surrounding areas of Phelps, Rhinelander, Eagle River and Three Lakes into a life changing experience. Crucially, an outdated commercial aviation weather report may have contributed to this catastrophe. This is the true story of a disaster.

Very interesting and well written book based on true events of a life changing plane crash in Northern Wisconsin. I may have found a more personal interest in this book than most due to being from the area however the writing was impeccable.
