Y'all 😭😭😭 I love this duology so much! I'm so happy that Lexi and the men got the happy ending they wanted for so long 🥹 They deserve it! I love the sweet moments (and the smut! 👀🥵). I highly recommend this duology if you like protective men who absolutely adores their women 🥰

Gosh this book is everything!!! Rome is soooo 🥵🥵🥵. The way she left the first book a cliff hanger the second one couldn’t come fast enough!! Colt is a broody sap, Hunt is the golden retriever, Gabe is the jokester and Rome is the silent one. The spice is gah…..the story line is even better. The ending is everything when you find out what the cover actually means!!!

This book was the perfect ending to a fantastic duet!!! I loved the storyline in this, it was so sweet And stressful at the same time. What Lexi goes through and the guys are all so perfect. They take such great care of her and the love they have is 5/5 spice. I loved how beautiful the end of the book was.

Yes! An utterly perfect end to the duet!
I would wholeheartedly recommend this duet to anyone looking for an army like, protective reverse harem! Also, definitely would need to read it, if you read the first book!
This is a continuation of the first book of the duet, and instantly takes place after what previously had occurred. It follows on her recovery, getting back to her men, and all of the juicy drama and the motherload of smut.
How do I say that I fell in love with Rome, and that I'm a total simp for him? I cannot get over his character. And Colt. The book scene had me going mental! Gabe and Hunt were amazing as always. Just, overall, all the characters were shaped to perfection. This book did not disappoint what so ever.
At some points I was like woah what, OK, as some bits just felt very unrealistic, but hey its a book, can't fault it. Yet it still intrigued me and made me want to read on. I loved the premises of this book and I cannot get over it! The side characters were also interesting, and can't wait to see if they have their own stories, as it definitely seemed like a build up!
This book is definitely a must read for anyone who loves protective men, because trust me, you won't regret it!

I have to give a round of applause to Maree Rose for this very amazing conclusion to the Shattered Safety duet 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Words cannot even express everything Lexi has been through. Her near death experience, to being in Witness Protection and finally her murderous ex boyfriend escaping jail. After leaving WITSEC she ends up in the protection of 4 ex military men. Little does she know how much she would come to fall in love with all of them. You would think she would get her HEA then but fate would have other plans.
We left off with Lexi getting kidnapped at the safe house with all her loves in it being blown to pieces. Lexi will go to hell and back but if anyone is tough enough to survive their ex boyfriend who has already tried to murder them, it’s her. This second book will put you through the absolute ringer. Will all four guys make it? Will Lexi finally get to see justice for everything her ex has done? Will she get her HEA she was starting to dream about before the kidnapping? Well you’ll just have to read this duet to find out.

Wow Maree really did it with this book. And can I say, you will not be ready for this book!
We ended the last book not knowing if the guys (Colt, Rome, Hunt, and Gabe) are ok and Lexi being taken and finally having to face Dominick again. Not only are we going to see what a badass Lexi has become but we get to see her and her guys grow together and individually. Get ready for more action, more smut, and fantastic HEA. I laughed, cried (happily), and needed a couple breaks from the heat of some of those smut scenes 🥵🥵. This duet was absolutely fantastic and I already sad that it’s over!

I liked this book but not as much as the first one. I feel like the first book had more substance to it and more plot. Like I know the author added more smut to spite people who said there was too much in the first book which is completely fine but when you are going to write that many sex scenes there needs to be plot and world building added or else it’s almost like reading a one shot on Wattpad.

Where to begin. First of all Maree is a masterful writer. She is eloquent in the way she describes things and writes beautifully. The conclusion to Lexi, Colt, Rome, Gabe and Hunts story is perfect. You finally get the answers to the cliffy book one left on and find out who took Lexi and if her men are still alive. Obviously it wouldn’t be a HEA if they died come on now. The journey these men take to get Lexi back and the fight Lexi puts up to stay alive is intense and exciting. Lexi doesn’t let her captor break her. She’s strong, defiant and badass. Once they are reunited ugh chefs kiss. The spice, the love scenes, the experiences Lexi and her guys have are amazing! The way she gets her revenge is fantastic. I won’t lie I legit cried happy tears at the end. You don’t want to skip this book it is sooo good!!!!

Great Conclusion!!
There was action and suspense, along with a few twists and turns that definitely kept my attention! We also get a bit of humor and lots of delicious steam!!
We get to see a lot of character growth in Alexis. She really shows her strength and perseverance in this book. She never gives up.
I thought this book also focused a lot on the growing relationships between Alexis and her men.
I continue to love Hunt, Colt, Gabe, and Rome. We also learn a little more about their past as well.
I thought the author did a fantastic job tying everything together and giving them their HEA!!

Every girl needs a Colt, Hunt, Gabe and Rome in their life. I could not put this book down! Definitely one of my favorite read this year. I fell in love with Lexi and her boys in the first book and in this book the relationship dynamic that evolves is simply amazing. You will find yourself lost in the pages and forget you are reading with this one. Maree Rose, thank you for giving me the best book boyfriends a girl could ask for!

Loved this duology! With the ending of the first one, this one couldnt have come soon enough. I loved the reintroduction of old characters in a new light, and with it the strong, powerhouse women characters. It had the perfect beginning and the perfect ending.

Fantastic duet
Such a great duet, the first book was exceptional and this one is just as great. True there’s a lot of hot sweaty smutty scenes but this doesn’t detract from an exciting fast faced story full of action.
You’d never guess that Maree Rose is a new author as this is such a great fast paced story, will definitely read anything else she writes as very impressed so far.
Wonder if we’ll get Ash’s story next, there’s some hints at past history that sound intriguing. Overall I really enjoyed this book, the characters were all well written, loved all the guys, a twin sandwich is one golf my top fantasies.

The conclusion in the Shattered Safety duet was a good conclusion to the story. I really enjoyed this book and had a great time reading it. Story was interesting and those spicy scenes were not only hot, but very well written as well. Also there was no lack of those spicy scenes (whoa).
I did put this one aside for a day or so when a trope I don’t particularly like came up, but I worked through it. Overall I really liked it and could see more books from this world being written. I’d definitely read those too!

This is book 2 of a duet. It starts right on the cliff we have been hanging from since the end of book 1. Lots of twists, turns, and a complex storyline. It was a perfect end to the story, even though I wanted it to keep going. In this part of the story, we do get a look into the past on a couple of characters.

This is an amazing conclusion to this duet. Picking up where Shattered ended, it drops you in the fast paced action, and powerful emotions from the event. Lexi and her men have so many twists to their story. I love how protective her men are of her. It was easy to get lost in their story with the development in characters, relationship along with the humor and steam.

This book was GREAT! I loved it from start to finish!! Once again, I absolutely love that the FMC isn’t helpless & can handle her own problems! The ending was perfect and not at all rushed! You can kinda see it coming some bits coming but it in no way takes away from the story!

I really loved this duo-logy, from start to finish. It was super spicy and fun to read. The first book ends on a cliff hanger. Overall I was really happy with the ending, it was really sweet! 100% I would recommend giving it a go. 🥰

The end of this duet had me wishing there were more to Lexi's story. I loved the pacing and getting to see more of the relationships between Lexi and each of her guys. The added characters made the entire book so much better, and I'm looking forward to reading more by Maree Rose in the future!

I recently finished reading the second RH book in this series, and I was pleasantly surprised by how it exceeded my expectations. The story was packed with intense main male character (MMC) drama, which might have been a bit over-the-top for some, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. The romance was well-executed, and the storyline kept me engaged throughout. When I reached the end, I was left feeling a bit sad that it ended, yet filled with excitement about diving into the next interconnected series. This book has definitely secured a place as one of my favorites.

Having finished book one on a major cliffhanger I was desperate to jump into book 2 and find out what happens next and this book didn’t disappoint.
As those who’ve read book one know there’s been a major explosion and Lexi has been taken. The opening of the second book is multi pov and takes place over several days exploring the recovery, thoughts, feelings and emotions of everybody involved as well as experiencing the abuse Lexi receives at the hands of Dominic and his henchman. This portion of the book is very cleverly written and is also headed with time scales which help build the tension of how long things are taking whilst building the sense of frustration and foreboding with how long rescue is taking even if in hindsight it’s not actually that long. By using irregular time periods rather than it being a standard 24hrs, 48hrs etc it really seemed to add to the crazed feeling of helplessness at the situation.
Kacey makes a reappearance and we are also introduced to Colts family and Lexi’s best friend and there are some interesting twists regarding those characters which I hope will be explored in future books.

The title to this book fits it to a capital T. The guys were able to rescue Alexis from her ex but unfortunately he wasn’t there when they rescued her. There was a lot of bonding and cuddling after the rescue as they figured out how to draw out the ex. There is a surprise twist in the story and a happy ending.

Barely any storyline. Insta-love/lust that’s going to last forever (insert eye roll). Oh and she went from needing to be protected to badass in a blink of the eye. I personally need some kind of character development before everyone is head over heels in love. This is probably more like 2.5 stars.

Okay, one thing I wasn't expecting was all the smut. Wowzers. That was H.O.T. A+++
I had been looking for a book similar to the WITSEC series and this was recommended on a facebook group I am in. Although there are similarities and this did fulfill my WITSEC like craving, the two are really different, in a good way.
The FMC was a part of WITSEC after her mafia/mob/gang whatever ex boyfriend tried to kill her after she saw something she wasn't supposed to. When he breaks free and finds her location it's revealed that there is a leak with one of the US Marshalls, so one of the man tasked with protecting her calls in a favor with a private security team. A very hot four man team. Of course with the fact that they are all hot and forced into a house together for the unforeseeable future they start becoming close physically and emotionally.
I liked Lexi's character. I think there was a decent balance of her being damaged by what happened with her but also strong enough to keep moving forward and learning how to protect herself in the future. That being said I do think she was a little too strong in the second book when she is faced with new trauma and doesn't seem to struggle with it like she should.
The MMCs are hot, possessive, protective, and just the right amount of sweet and caring to those they let in. I appreciated the backgrounds they came from and how it was approached in regards to their growing relationship with Lexi. Especially Rome. We love a good damaged man with demons, let's be honest. SWOON.

I was wondering if we were going to be left hanging on how Nick kept finding her. But I wasn't surprised when it was revealed that he put a tracker in her. But it almost felt like an after thought. Like "crap I forgot to add this." It felt like that for a couple reasons. One being that it was like the end of everything before it was finally revealed. Like supposedly these guys do these types missions all the time. No one thought that might be a possibility when he was able to find a safehouse that no one was supposed to know or find out about? Seems kind of unlikely. Also, when did he put a tracker in her? When they were dating? Before she betrayed him? Why? And also how? It was under the skin. So he would have had to make an incision and possibly even a stitch once it was put in? Are we to assume that he had drugged her when they were dating? Also, in the beginning I thought he found her because of the US Marshall leak? Was it just a coincidence that there did end up being a leak and a tracker? I don't know... that part of the story was kind of expected but then a let down with the big reveal.
Also, at the end it was decided that her family couldn't know she was alive because although her past had been dealt with, their future was still too dangerous to have them in their life. Yet, they are starting a family? I feel like her parents and brother? I think it was a brother. Would be able to handle themselves better than a baby. But I don't know. Just seemed kind of weird to me that she couldn't have her family back, but could start a new one.
I do think this duet could have been a decent standalone. As hot as the smut was, I was really invested in seeing how the story played out so I did end up skimming it after awhile. So, I could have used a little less of that. If anything, maybe more of a conclusion with Nick, just felt kind of rushed after everything she went through.
Okay, one thing I wasn't expecting was all the smut. Wowzers. That was H.O.T. A+++
I had been looking for a book similar to the WITSEC series and this was recommended on a facebook group I am in. Although there are similarities and this did fulfill my WITSEC like craving, the two are really different, in a good way.
The FMC was a part of WITSEC after her mafia/mob/gang whatever ex boyfriend tried to kill her after she saw something she wasn't supposed to. When he breaks free and finds her location it's revealed that there is a leak with one of the US Marshalls, so one of the man tasked with protecting her calls in a favor with a private security team. A very hot four man team. Of course with the fact that they are all hot and forced into a house together for the unforeseeable future they start becoming close physically and emotionally.
I liked Lexi's character. I think there was a decent balance of her being damaged by what happened with her but also strong enough to keep moving forward and learning how to protect herself in the future. That being said I do think she was a little too strong in the second book when she is faced with new trauma and doesn't seem to struggle with it like she should.
The MMCs are hot, possessive, protective, and just the right amount of sweet and caring to those they let in. I appreciated the backgrounds they came from and how it was approached in regards to their growing relationship with Lexi. Especially Rome. We love a good damaged man with demons, let's be honest. SWOON.
