What if Joseph wasn't the first man to be cuckolded by God? What if there was a cult of adulterated men who would do anything to kill him for fucking their wives into useless shells of nymphoid lust? What if a woman possessed was so utterly tormented, that the only way to save her soul was to perform a Sexorcism? What if a scaticallogically inclined man found a way to pleasure himself with bed bugs? What if a woman fell in love with a dinosaur? What if a seemingly innocent Furry gangbang turned out to be a mating ritual for a tribe of nomadic cannibal were-teddy bears?
These questions and many more will be answered when StrangeHouse books takes you on a journey unlike any you've ever seen before with their debut anthology of strange erotic horror fiction, “Strange Sex”. 13 tales of erotic fiction from Kevin Strange, D.F. Noble, Rich Bottles, Jr., David C. Hayes, Elizadeth Hetherington and more exciting authors of today’s strangest fiction.
Kevin Strange is a two time nominee of the Wonderland Book Award for excellence in bizarro fiction, recipient of the 2014 editor's choice award in the Lewis and Clark college literary magazine The Peppermint Rooster Review and his short story THE TWINS was listed on TangentOnline.com's 2015 year end recommended reading list.
He is the author of 18 books, and the writer/director of 7 films. He loves schlocky B-movies, cult fiction and Iron Maiden records.
Sex. Whether salty or sweet, serious or silly, steamy or sterile, it's often rather sticky, sweaty, smelly, squelchy, and ultimately scary to boot, but no matter what other 'S' words you might use to describe it, sex is always strange.
Each of these 13 tales taps into this central idea, exploring it in ways much more diverse than the particular kinks suggested by the cover. From the tiniest of bedbugs to the man upstairs Himself, it seems there's nary a critter under the sun that ain't at least a bit interested in (if not flat-out obsessed with) fuckin'. Whether this comes as a result of our hypersexual minds or the hypersexual reality we inhabit is anyone's guess, but that's really besides the point. Sure, maybe a cigar really is sometimes just a cigar, but no one ever likened a cigar to a cucumber, or a flute, or any other cylindrical object so readily as a penis. Or a penis that shoots cotton candy. Or a penis that is actually an alien maggot. Okay, so maybe no one ever likened a real-life penis to any of these things...
...that is until now.
Sex is fucking strange, okay? But even without all the fantastical/nightmarish embellishments applied here, perhaps strangest of all is how sex can lead us into the riskiest of situations, when it would've been so much safer just to stay home and play with ourselves, or maybe something even safer than that, like video games, where the only thing we're gonna blister is our thumbs. Most of these stories have a decided horror bent to them, but no matter how horrifying these cautionary tales may be, what's most horrifying about them is our seeming inability to heed their warnings, hopelessly inclined towards sex as we are.
Is sex hardwired into our brains? Sure it is, although the plethora of birth control options on the market would seem to fly in the face of those who consider it a reproductive instinct. I mean, imagine you're some extraterrestrial, visiting Earth for the very first time. Where you're from, reproduction is accomplished through crystal fission, and the single most popular pastime is watching other crystals grow. Suddenly you find yourself on a mud ball teeming with crazed hormonal beasts, blindly chasing after each other's holes and poles as if there were no higher pursuit imaginable. Sure, we got crystals here too, but nobody gives a fuck about them -- at least not in comparison to all the primo tang on the menu. So what do you do? You get the fuck out of there, that's what, because you're gonna flip your shit if someone comes after you with a dainty diamond dildo, let alone some big ol' dirty dong, like an awful alien proboscis intent on penetrating your crystalline cloaca.
Then again, if you're the type of extraterrestrial who loves nothing more than killing people, crawling into their skin, and proceeding to torture/murder/impregnate anything unlucky enough to cross your path, then you just might find yourself right at home here!
This collection has humor, horror, and one of the greatest, most awful renditions of 'the aristocrats' I've ever heard. It also has some stuff that will genuinely disturb you, while at the same time possibly giving you a boner. Welcome to planet Earth, where people write books like Strange Sex and other people actually read them. Strange, strange shit indeed.
Strange Sex is exactly as the title says - innuendo is completely unnecessary. The stories in this collection are graphically carnal and, for the most part, deviantly horrific. Nothing is held sacred, and imaginations explore the depths of lust and fetishism though wickedly penned scenarios. It is impossible to close one's eyes to the images and appetites presented, and, if you are like me, you will grimace and cringe in enjoyment. Highlights for me were the stories Cotton Candy by Kevin Strange, Love Bites by David C. Hayes, Appetites by Mike Lombardo, Foreigner by D.F. Noble and Lips by Jesse Wheeler. Highly recommended to adventurous readers.
If you need an exorcist for a demon. Call in the sexorcist for his semen. If you're in a hurry, we can also do it furry. The Cum Brothers are not small, but Cotton Candy takes them all. The sex robots aren't takin' it up the anus, even though it feels quite painless. You can give up your sperm to an octopus worm. You can be bitten in bed if you like that instead. You can be strip-searched by Ed. or molested when you're dead. And if you can't get enough of jackin' your jim Come by the Vagary and pick a she or a him. This books also contains an alien race. who like it when you sh#t in their face. This read was wrong. This read was grim. Crazy ways to get some trim.

2* Interloper - Turtles are boring to look at and even more so reading about them. I was waiting on them to break out of their shells and do something spectacular Teenage Mutant style. Cowabunga dudes~
5* Love Bites- 5 for originality, not subject matter. What a nasty, twisted, freak-me-out read. I'm off to wash my bedding.
4* Pulmonary Ed - Crazy
5* Appetites- Think twice when someone wants to tie you up during sex.
5* Foreigner- WTF did I just read. I'm totally flabbergasted. This read has outdone my go-to hardcore author Edward Lee. SMH!
4* The Language of Love-
2 1/2* Deth Morgue - Just weird
3* Vagary- I didn't make the jump with how he went from sex-crazed freak to the need to kill.
2* Fu*k or Feast- An alright read.
3* Cinnamon- Interesting, but not enough. I wish there was more.
3* Cotton Candy- Furry sex under a full moon. The Cum Brothers, He-He~
3* Lips- There's nothing I need to say.
3* The Sexorcist- A wham-bam read, that was missing something. The priest talked forever about his past, then his demise comes (he-he) too quickly. Could have been better.
Yes, there was sex in it, the breaking of just about any taboo you can think of (bestiality, paedophilia, necrophilia, gutfucking, sexual killing, you think about something it was in there). That in itself isn't a problem for me usually. What is though is that the whole anthology (except for one story) is pervaded with hatred. Hatred of sex, hatred of women, hatred of sensuality, of love, of people. The negativity is so pronounced and so encompassing, along with all that hatred, loathing and self-loathing, that I just hope I'll never meet anyone like that.
Definitely NOT for the faint of heart, this collection promises to surprise, arouse, and disturb you on every page. The wonderful cover art is a good indicator of the bizarre nature of the thirteen stories inside.
I wouldn't recommend this book for anyone who takes stuff too seriously, as it can be very disturbing at times and may offend the average person. But if indeed you're NOT the average person (because how boring is that?) and you love bizarre, off-the-wall subject matter and lots of graphic fornication in your literary adventures, "Strange Sex" is a great book that proves as colorful as its cover.
Personally, I read this through in its entirety within the second day I had it. Couldn't put it down, and I'll reread the stories until StrangeHouse puts out another collection. Thanks, guys, for your horribly, wonderfully messed up literature!
Although I wrote one of the tales in the Strange Sex anthology, I still feel the burning desire (deep within my loins, by the way) to write a review of the other stories contained in this impressive missive from StrangeHouse Books. So if you don't like that, or you think this is some kind of biased review, then feel free to ignore it. See if I care.
Anyway, let's start off with D.F. Noble's "Interloper." D.F. Noble uses the metaphor of fornicating turtles as a microcosm to describe the complexities of modern day relationships. He expands outward from the simple, natural, mating instincts of these raptured reptiles to capture the betrayal and vengeful emotions experienced by humans when their mates are unfaithful. Two cuckolded men meet by chance at a zoo beside the turtle exhibit and begin talking about how they can no longer satisfy their wives after the whores have cheated on them. Not wanting to appear weak or lacking in sexual prowess, both men claim that some god-like being must have schtupped their wives. But after watching the shell-covered reptiles, they realize that they need to grow thicker skin and learn how to satisfy their females so there will no longer be an excuse for infidelity. But then again, this might just be a story about two scorned guys watching turtles screw. --- D.F. Noble's philosophical smut proves to be an ideal Introduction to this collection of 13 Strange Sex stories, setting the tone for the twelve torridly tawdry tales to follow, so zip up your pants and I'll tell you what I think these stories are really about... ---
In the story "Love Bites" by David C. Hayes, we learn how loneliness and rejection can slowly eat away at a person, until they develop depression and become hopelessly obsessed with their solitary lifestyle. This antisocial mental illness soon makes them unable to cope with everyday interactions with people, whether they are family or co-workers. Unfortunately, such despair can often lead to suicidal tendencies. But this story might just be about a guy who enjoys having bedbugs bite his genitals.
The dangers of online dating sites are addressed in Mike Lombardo's story "Appetites," which includes helpful tips such as: If you visit the apartment of your new online boyfriend, make sure he doesn't have a roommate who has no regard for personal space. Although this is actually one of the more erotic stories, you may want to read it through to the end before you begin masturbating... Don't make the same mistake I did.
D.F. Noble's "Foreigner" focuses on the unfortunate topic of illegal immigration and how illegal aliens seem to be taking over our lives, adversely affecting our families and attacking our faith. When we allow other cultures into our communities, we risk being influenced by all sorts of perversions and weird customs; unless "Foreigner" is really about horny creatures from another world that want to rape and kill us.
"The Language of Love" by Amanda Williams recounts the coming-of-age transition from the comforting familiarity of high school to the more alien lifestyle that confronts all college students, where the security of home is suddenly replaced by the curiosities of campus life. In the story, we have the worldly teaching assistant seducing the young and naïve college girl. The poor girl regresses to thumb-sucking when the TA finally gets her naked in bed, but he proceeds to ravish her anyway, stealing her innocence while she pretends that he loves her. A less attentive reader would probably think this story was about some sort of alien dinosaur sex.
For fans of TV shows like `CSI' or `Crossing Jordan,' Elizadeth Hetherington's "Deth Morgue" takes us inside a big city autopsy room where skilled technicians search dead bodies for evidence of crime. In this story, a newly hired lab assistant makes a startling discovery and the end result both pleases and satisfies the doctor who hired her. But when the new hire participates in some innocuous dominatrix-style phone sex, which results in the death of a customer by erotic self-asphyxiation, then the head doctor has some tough decisions to make. In short, "Deth Morgue" is a great study of sexual harassment in the workplace, especially if you like sadistic necro-lesbian sexual harassment in the workplace.
"Vagary" by Justin Roberts sets out to prove the evangelical Christian position that sexual addiction left unchecked can lead to stronger and stronger perversions as the afflicted has more and more difficulty satisfying his unnatural desires. Perhaps this story should have been placed at the end of the anthology, because its premise is so well defined that I almost quit reading the book out of fear that I too could become a murdering rapist if I continued reading such violent snuff porn.
"Fornicate or Feast" (which isn't the actual title of the story) by Craig Mullins is about a lonely man who decides to become a sperm donor and is richly awarded years later for his selfless generosity. It's true, not all men are virile and fertile specimens of true masculinity - and it's unfair to their mates that the gimps cannot provide them with children. Sometimes we real men must make sacrifices for the betterment of society by impregnating an unworthy male's partner. Mullins captures this poignant scenario wonderfully, even though the story sometimes seems like a sci-fi nightmare filled with occupied octopi and murderous mutants.
In the next story of the anthology, D.F. Noble returns to take the "Cinnamon" challenge with his interpretation of Neil Young's classic song `Cinnamon Girl,' but the subject matter proves more than what the main character can swallow as he attempts to spend the rest of his life with his idyllic acrylic Cinnamon Girl. Let's face it; sex toys lose their appeal once they start acting like real women (i.e., bot-ches).
Little has been written about the underground furry fetish phenomenon, but StrangeHouse Books editor and chief Kevin Strange explores the secretive sex craze in detail with a novella-sized story entitled "Cotton Candy." Any guy who has ever been to a carnival with a girl knows that she'll do anything if you win her a stuffed animal. The girl character in "Cotton Candy" has a gang-banging collection of plush toys. --- In all seriousness (and believe me, I'm not being a suck up), the story "Cotton Candy" is worth the price of the book. It is bizarro fiction at its finest, meticulously plotted and perfectly executed. If you're not a fan of Kevin Strange after reading "Cotton Candy," then I feel sorry for you. And for anyone who has ever put themselves in a precarious position for a cheap thrill, "Cotton Candy" will stick to your soul like bukkake bubblegum. ---
Nicholas Day's "Necrosaurus Rex" demonstrates the fact that if our human ancestors did exist during the time of the dinosaurs, then they were probably mentally deficient and likely only good for cleaning up dino droppings and killing each other. In the end, Dr. Eric Matthews teaches us all a lesson about the societal benefits of intellectual cleansing. --- Day's "Necrosaurus Rex" is another gem of ingenuity in the collection, even though Kevin Strange's story is a hard act to follow. Whereas we expect all time travel stories to have a glitch that causes chaos, Day turns his glitchy story around to explain one of the most debated theories in all of science. Stephen Hawking would love this story, if he were able to turn the damn pages. ---
The anthology wraps up with "The Sexorcist" by Kyle Noble, where we learn that not all Catholic priests are interested in altar boys. Unfortunately, when priests do show an interest in the fairer sex, it often results in disastrous circumstances. The sinful world of contraceptives and infidelity await any man of the cloth when he is seduced by the wiles of the evil female. Liturgy turns to misogyny in Kyle Noble's femdom finale.
Although I liked D.F. Noble's "Interloper," Kevin Strange's "Cotton Candy" and Nicholas Day's "Necrosaurus Rex" the best, everyone has different tastes, especially when it comes to sex, so rest assured that all of the selections contained in the "Strange Sex" anthology complement the smart and sexy theme of the collection. There's not many books out there like "Strange Sex," so isn't it about time you climbed into bed with a copy?
Bizzorrotica. STRANGE SEX is a little bit bizarro, a little bit horror and a little bit erotica all in one anthology. It's also the first offering from StrangeHouse Books and sets the tone perfectly for everything that has and will come from the behemoth new voice in bizarro cult horror. This anthology is 13 of the most twisted mind-screw tales laced to varying degrees with some raunchy erotica.
There's dinosaurs, bugs, robots, priests with hangars, time machines and aliens in here. You know that game you've played with friends and ask them various 'ogy' fetish terms translate to? You know the one where you can't even believe the fetish exists let alone there being a term for it? Well this book pretty much has the ones that are so twisted that they have no name yet. Don't believe me, try finding the name of the fetish for flesh eating demon stuffed animal sex. Yeah, that's what I thought.
If you like your fiction twisted, if you like your limits pushed, if you desire a bit of cringe and a healthy dose of gore and maybe just maybe when your all alone and no one is watching it actually get the juices flowing... then this book is for you. Read STRANGE SEX for something your not ready for. Something to take you out of your comfort zone. Read it because it's freak fun and you didn't know you could have this much fun on a first date... with a dinosaur man. Then when your done check out everything else from StrangeHouse Books.
A classic collection that practically defined the new underdog class of bizarro freedom fighters -- The STRANGEHOUSE BOOK COLLECTIVE (Wheeler, Noble, Strange, JWA).
Pretty much the manual for Bizarro Indie bad-ass-ness. I rated it four stars simply because this crew can (and has with ZZBB) do better. But a classic for sure, and it still sells like hotcakes!
Erotic/Horror from StrangeHouse Books who else can give you furry fuck toys, farts in the mouth, and some really strange sexual content. If you want some laughs with your penis. Grab this book just try not to get the pages sticky.
(D.F. Noble - Interloper) Animals fuck too, and priest farts in nun's mouth. A story that starts out fast then slows to the turtle sexual moment. 5★s
(Appetites by Mike Lombardo) Appetite for Destruction but this ain't no Guns–n–Roses. This is what needs to feed. 4★s
(D.F. Noble - Foreigner) D.F.'s second appearance in the anthology. If you seen the movie "Strangers" with Liv Tyler, you will love this short. 4★s
(Deth Morgue by Elizadeth Hetherington) Lesbians, screwing the dead and dick decapitation Great! 4★s
(Cotton Candy by Kevin Strange) See my review for individual kindle short. 5★s
(Lips by Jesse Wheeler) The phrase "You are what you eat" comes to mind in this gypsy, pussy eating romp. 5★s
When it comes to StrangeHouse anthologies, it's hard for me to pick a favorite story from the batch. This is no exception. It comes down to a choice between Kevin Strange's "Cotton Candy," a tale of cannibal were-teddy bears and a gang-bang gone horribly wrong, and Jesse Wheeler's "Lips," a gypsy revenge story in which the villain/protagonist winds up with a vagina for a mouth and an insatiable hunger for baby butter. Another strong tale is "Vagary" by Justin Roberts, which is a mind-bending tale of one man's sexual/violent obsession. And then there's D.F. Noble's "Foreigner," which will make you never look at aliens the same way again. (And it's told from the "we" POV, which is really hard to pull off properly. Very cool.) If you like extreme tales of sexual depravity, then this book needs to be in your collection.
I really, really liked this collection. With only one exception, I thought each of the stories to be well written, creative and disturbing in the best way. My favorites of the bunch are Love Bites by David C. Hayes, Lips by Jesse Wheeler, Foreigner by D.F. Noble, Cinnamon by D.F. Noble and Cotton Candy by Kevin Strange. It was a great introduction to some authors that I had yet to read.
STRANGE SEX is the first offering from a new publisher called StrangeHouse Books. It is an anthology and is also a pretty good introduction to this new press. Once you read this book you have a pretty good idea of StrangeHouse Books Mission statement. And this is quite simply: To entertain you with fun, twisted tales that are humorous, sick, and offensive. These are not tales that should be taken seriously, or leave you deep in thought. These are tales that are outrageous and come right at you with Strange and Bizarre people and situations(and SEX! Lots and lots of SEX!), that by the end makes you ask: "What the hell did I just read?!" And might even leave you wanting more! And you are in luck because as of this writing StrangeHouse books has a total of six books to offer. Each just as Strange, Crazy, and, Offensive as the last. So with titles like:
[[ASIN:0615633145 Scary Fucking Stories: A Strange Collection]] [[ASIN:0615663583 Beer Run of the Dead]] [[ASIN:1480214841 Zombie! Zombie! Brain Bang!: A Strange Anthology]] [[ASIN:1480231851 Robamapocalypse]] [[ASIN:148016853X Baby Fever: A Strange Novel]]
You are sure to find something. While this may not be high art, it never claims to be. So pick up this anthology and entertain your brain. Don't over think it! Your brain will thank you.
Any comments that I make about this book cannot be as good as Rich Bottles, Jr's review so scroll down and read his instead.
The only things that I have to add are my opinion, and why I find this collection to be just okay. It wasn't the sex or the writing that I didn't care for (though some of the stories are obvious better written than others), it was how nonsensical some of the stories became. Sure I'm with you when you piss on someone's butt and say, "You get a Gold Star" but I get lost when anything turns into a demon, alien, or God. So it is the realistic aspects of this collection, those stories that are not so far fetched that I get lost in disinterest, that I really enjoy.
I enjoy reading some weird shit but this was to much for me. I like some strange taboo erotica. I freely admit I didn't finish this one. It languished on my reader forever. I had picked it up as a freebie. Today I thought I was ready. Wrong! I hopped through a few stories but after encountering feces and intestines, I jumped ship and called it quits. I think this might appeal more to horror fans than to fans of erotica.
