The author has often been told that he does things the wrong way. For instance, he could walk before he could crawl. His parents were also informed that he went about reading the wrong way. Already reading before kindergarten, he went on to delve into texts about dinosaurs and astronomy by 1st grade as opposed to the regular story books everyone else was reading. At least one school counselor labeled him as "delayed" because of this. Of course, this happened at the same time he was winning the school reading contest.

After years of wanting to, he's finally writing books of his own.

50% Story, 50% Author's Note

Funnily enough, I was just thinking as I read the last few chapters that the author's notes were getting longer, and in this chapter, Mr. Leon addresses why he makes them. A nice story. However, I think there should be some kind of notice that the story I am downloading is not, in fact, 11 pages, but 5.5, with a 5.5 page note and list to other works. (My opinion, but not the reason I gave it three stars.)

In this chapter, the POV switches to Tib's father, which would have been interesting, except I felt like it was still Tib. The thoughts, the personality-- there was no real difference. I suppose he didn't feel like an authentic voice. It also had sort of a 90s cartoon 'You'll never catch me!' tone, so fell a little flat on the suspense of the prior chapter. The story is still intriguing, but I'd like to see it polished a bit more.

Man, getting these for free from the author when they come available feels an awful lot like stealing. I'm so impressed that I'm looking forward to collecting them all once released as book and putting it on my shelf. Because this is the sort of story that you want to have around in a archivable format. To give to your kids and grandkids.

Anyway, this week more awesome stuff happens. Really, if you haven't read then you need to go back to part 1 and have at it. It'll be worth it.

It is confrontation time! This chapter is 50% story, and a wonderful insight into the mind of Andrew Leon author =50%. Michael, Tib's father takes on the Man with no eyes. Both think they have it right but only one really has. Lots of action in the tunnel.
