This was a quick fun read.

More of an anecdotal look at technology through history than detailed information to prevent it from being boring or bogging down.

Merritt has a quick wit and provides a nice consistent pacing through the speeding up changes.

I do wish that because this is an eBook that there was more linking to items for further research. I also think that this sort of thing is perfect for an expanded add on book series. ie Here is what was happening in 2006 in the Tech World that can add directly into this eBook.

I enjoyed the book and found it interesting, educational and reminded me of the early days of my work on computers.

Great book if you are comfortable reading a chronological list of facts. It can be a bit boring some times, but the author made sure to keep a good pace and filter the information pretty well.
