There’s even the tale of an entire nation sinking to the bottom of the Pacific Ocean, taking along its inhabitants and possibly the American news crew sent to broadcast the events. Will humanity be able to persevere as it always has? Or will they slip silently into the night, returning earth to its original owner, Mother Nature?

This intense apocalyptic thriller follows multiple characters as they fight to stay alive through the Mayan prediction of the end of the world. Loves are discovered and lost, strangers risk their lives for one another, and the natural disasters that occur are so realistic, it chills you to the bone with frightening possibility.
Beginning this book, I had no idea what to expect. I had seen movies that portrayed the end of the world, but reading it so intricately detailed in print painted a much more vivid picture than a movie ever could. I cheered at the tenacity and survival of some of the characters, and cried like a baby when tragedy struck. The relationship dynamics between many of the characters pulled at my heartstrings, and I found myself hoping that they would all make it through the terrifying disaster. It pulled me in from page one and took me on an exhilarating ride until the very end. A FANTASTIC read!

I recieved a copy of this book from Melissa in exchange for a review on my blog! I was very happy to read it! My apologies to her for not reading it sooner!
I actually enjoyed this story. At first, I wasn't sure how easy it would be to follow as there are quite a few characters.
The story is broken down into different parts, each with a title of the character and their wherabouts. This does make reading the story easier to follow. Each character is in a different part of the world, and many different natural disasters are occuring. You follow each character as they try to survive, some may survive, some may not, but to find that out you will have to read the book!
No spoilers from me, but I will say that there was one part which really tugged at my heart strings and brought a few tears to my eyes. I liked all of the characters, some more than others.
It was a good story, the first apocolypse story I've read, and I would read more!
