I had a giggle while reading this book a few little things rubbed me the wrong way in it. A woman's only accessory is apparently a child and child supplies. I don't know, sometimes it seemed a bit sexist to me, maybe I'm a bit too anal about some things though.

Good laugh through reading anyways, especially when you're familiar with the Norwegian culture and mentality at least a tiny bit.

It's fun, light natured, with some very interesting insights into the Norwegian & Nordic culture that you won't necessarily catch on your average trip there, business or vacation. It has a lot of jokes & makes a reader smile or laugh together, yet respecting other cultures, which I appreciate.

I wish there was a bit more of the context or explanation on many of the aspects portrayed. Luckily I have a colleague that I'm close with who's Norwegian but otherwise I won't necessarily be even able to get the explanation even searching online. To me this is the biggest drawback. Otherwise I really enjoyed it.

After reading “Norsk, ikke sant?” (“Norwegian, right?” I thought I might give this a try and see if it was more than a three star that I gave the previous book mentioned: but I found more of the same as in that book. So, still a three star, but the illustrations and small Norwegian treats and how we are as a country, and what we do as go on a cabin trip every weekend (“Hyttetur”, most Norwegians do this, I never had a cabin in my family, so we just stayed home), and more quirks Norwegians have. It is a humorous book I would recommend to people who are not from here tho!

What a wonderful book! I feel as if I know a little bit about Norway and Norwegians A very nice history of Norway to start off with; had no idea there was that much 'historical' tension! Looks at the love all Norwegians have for nature. If you are planning to go to Norway I would highly recommend this book before your trip.

I got this book for Christmas and as you can see, the day isn't over and I'm done reading it. I just couldn't resist.. the charming little illustrations and humour were just up my street.

I'm just sad that I couldn't read everything.. there are Norwegian phases and vocab smattered throughout. I only know a word or two myself yet, so I didn't get all of the humour. But there was plenty I did, and many great visual gags too, so don't be put off if you don't speak Norwegian! I can't even string together a sentence myself.

I had a fun afternoon reading this. I recommend it to anyone who has a love of or interest in Norway.
