Mikael Heaton the offworlder together with Jaxon the Darkstrider and Isabel venture into the City to broker a peace treaty for the highland clans however they take on more than they bargain for as the city is in an uproar because of the rebels uprising against their oppressors. Mikael is coming into his powers however he needs to gain more strength if he is to win in a battle against the pathfinders, namely Alyina Sorulus and the governor of Skarta, Arimus Shore. Other forces also are at play here those of the Elohim and the Satana who have much to lose if the Offworlder loses. This is a LitRPG series full of action, rebellion and the need to rise against an oppressor who has no qualms about how many of the people they eradicate in their greed for power. The one pulling the strings is relentless and difficult to win against but Mikael must win if the highlands he has grown to love are to survive. I cannot wait to read the final book in this very thrilling series!
A civil war is brewing between Skarta and Gurria. In the midst of it all are two men, Daniyal and the outsider from Earth, Mikael Heaton. Mikael has been dubbed the Voidlight, almost prophetically so, as previously forecasted by Seers, his being generally regard as the Destroyer of Worlds. And midst all that there are the innocents... Voidlight a a fully immersive story between good and evil, with evil primarily holding sway in various forms and positions of authority. But in Voidlight a third person catches the eye too, viz a young waif called Kat and who is clearly earmarked for an important role in this developing war. I guess I'm not the only person whose attention will be captured and held in thrall for hours on end. Enjoy.
This is the sequel to "Darkstrider" and it is riveting! Mikael Heaton is an offworlder, called many names, in particular "Destroyer of Worlds"! Is it possible he can actually live up to that name? Will he find the help he needs to defeat a terrifying enemy? What does fate really have in store for Mikael and the Clan? I found I was devouring page after page in this thrilling unpredictable story. With an excellent cast of characters, adventure, danger, friendship, bravery, as well as a terrify and brutal enemy, I found that I could not stop reading. I mean it was impossible to stop!!! This is a spellbinding read and emotionally satisfying! Thank you Aaron Hodges for another amazing book.....
The second installment in The Blades of Heaven and Hell delivers a fast paced action packed story that left me speechless and every emotion stirred and shaken. It picks up where Darkstrider ends and pulls you in from the beginning to the end, leaving you wanting to read more. Aaron Hodges’ writing is brilliant; I was so invested in the characters, experiencing their trials and tribulations together with them, screaming at the villains, experiencing new places in this world. I highly recommend this book, and can’t wait to read the next book.
If the first book was like the American Thanksgiving, where the table is overwhelmed with treats and you eat yourself into oblivion, then Voidlight is like returning to the table a few hours later and starting all over again!
It's a rip roaring good time which took many turns to arrive in an unsuspected destination. No one was as they seemed in the beginning. Well done, Aaron! Now go work on the next installment!
