The Thunderstorm was a short romance story originally written for the 2012 AudioGo Lost & Found:Original Fiction Contest. It was the winning entry and was available as an audiobook and an ebook during 2013. Since then, the story has been re-worked and expanded and is now available as a new novella, Starcrossed.

Suzanne lives in Sydney with her husband and children. By day she works in an office where she quietly scribbles plot ideas on yellow sticky notes and hopes they don't accidentally end up on the departmental monthly report. Through some incredible good fortune, some of those sticky notes have turned into her first novel, Over the Edge, and a novella, Starcrossed.
In The Thunderstorm, main characters Georgia and Tom meet while on vacation and quickly fall in love. They spend all their time together learning about the other, but circumstances beyond their control are determined to separate them. Have they lost each other for good or is their love strong enough to make them search for each other?
I really enjoyed reading this young adult short story by Suzanne Carroll. It is a very sweet story, and I couldn't help but to be drawn into their plight. I can only imagine how devastated they must have been to not know if they would see each other again, and I loved the lengths they went through to be together.
I'd definitely recommend The Thunderstorm if you're in the mood for a quick, light, and clean read. I look forward to reading more from Suzanne Carroll in the future.
