The unthinkable? How long should she wait? Constantly surrounded by humans, Lea must deal with her lust for blood by herself after she’s discovered her blood dealer has mysteriously gone missing. After a couple of disasters, Lea is emotionally distraught. She tries to keep it a secret from Ryder, but he seems to know. He doesn't know, How could he know? Can she really trust him. Daniel trusted him. Well, that's not saying much; she only new him a few weeks, a couple of months. How well did she know Daniel? Shr's been with Ryder linger than she was with Daniel.) When Ryder comes through for her, providing blood for her, she's not sure how she feelsxabout it. The longer Daniel is gone, the more Lea must depend on Ryder. Lea tries to take control of her life, again, with disasterous results when she unexpectedly encounters her past.

While I enjoyed this book more than the first I found myself rooting for the other guy. I didn't like the way it ended and as a writer I'm hoping she has surprises in book 3.
