Never having read anything by Mary Moody, but knowing something of her reputation, I was not sure what to expect from this book. I shouldn't have been worried, I loved it! Wonderful photography, some great recipes and a beautifully told story of family gatherings, growing up, creating a home, bringing up children, and most of all the love of food and cooking. If any of these are important to you, do yourself a favour and get this book.
