Klao Persaud should be the happiest girl in the world -- after all, she is a triple threat: bright, pretty and successful! But something is missing, and it's making this young attorney's life miserable. Klao wants a man. Not just any man. She knows exactly what she wants -- what he looks like, what he does for a living, and what she will name their 2.5 children. Moreover, she has enough faith in God to know that he is out there -- waiting to find her one day; waiting to sweep her off her feet, and give her a 'happily-ever-after'. She does not know if he is the handsome and cosmopolitan Ricard Shalkowsi, or the muscled and manly 'PwC boy', whose name she does not know, but who she is positive could bench press her as efficiently as he bench presses those weights at Gymkhana. Perhaps he's a tall, dark and handsome stranger. What she cannot understand is why God is taking so long to send him to her! But what Klao does figure out is that God still moves in strange and mysterious (and sometimes mischievous ways), and even when he is late, He is a God who is always ON TIME. On Time is the third title in the Persaud Girl series created by Teisha Mott. Other titles in the series are The Bet and Just Perfect!.

My first read in the Persaud series, but it was a worthy one. There is an all familiar quote at the beginning of the book which is very much true and applicable to my life, and one which I also believe sets the tone for what was to come in the rest of the novel.
On Time is really a great novel. The novel makes reference to one of the most beautiful islands, Jamaica and the scenery was very imaginative and familiar. I really appreciated the way the author presented different forms of love among the characters. There was eros, storage and agape. The characters all blended well and for a romance novel the language was pretty subtle and it was a very light read. I’m happy to have it in my collection as I definitely will be reading it again especially for the Christian episode that Mott managed to include in the story. It definitely didn’t change the mood of the story but actually enhanced it.
