A native Californian and former merchant seaman, Mark Terrill was a particpant in Paul Bowles' writing workshop in Tangier, Morocco, and has lived in Germany since 1984 where he has worked as a shipyard welder, road manager for bands, cook and postal worker. His poems, prose and translations have appeared widely in the U.S. and abroad. Among his recent books is KID WITH GRAY EYES, also available from SPD. finished this book on a quiet lipa noi beach in the south of Thailand feeling grateful, connected, intertwined
