4.5/5 ⭐️

I received an ARC copy of this book and I am voluntarily leaving a review.

I loved this book!! It had everything! Great spice, the plot was interesting and had me hooked!! When I tell you my jaw dropped when I thought of who could be behind the stalking and then it was that person!!

Logan is an ex- military man who has been hired by his old General to protect his daughter from someone stalking her and threatening the General. He is broody, smart, hot and kinky 🥵🔥👏

Avery is artistic, used to be alone because of her dad and is nothing like how her father describes her as, she is not an entitled shopaholic at all, she’s beautiful and honestly deserves the world after everything she has been through! 💕🔥🎨

The chemistry the to MC’s have is fantastic honestly I loved this book. Do check the trigger warnings before reading. The plot and the mystery had me hooked the entire time! I can’t wait to read the next book in the series!

Some thoughts :
I’ll be a little specific - at 26% Logan and Avery’s first spicy encounter it felt just a little to rushed to me. I know they were both attracted to each other since they met and I like that we can see both povs, just in the moment in the attic, one min she’s showing him a part of herself and her hobbies, next one he’s asking if she’s afraid of him ( ?) and then all of a sudden she’s on her knees. Now, don’t get me wrong the scene as short as it was , was sexy but I just didn’t feel the build up of the scene towards what he said in that particular moment. This actually felt like a pattern following other similar scenes.

Imagine one minute you’re talking about painting with someone, next minute you’re on your knees? Not a single sexy thought In your head in between.

Then again 34% at the pool: she’s lying down and he comes and puts sunscreen on her? I thought he was trying to keep it professional. Was trying to give off cold vibes . It just didn’t flow as well. The scene itself yes, the moment leading up to it not so much.
The stalker situation: 40% into the book the only presence of someone following her were some broken cameras? No actual stalking happened.
55% he wakes up from a nightmare and she’s there and he decides to share what’s been haunting him and at that moment she decided to sûck him off ? Didn’t vibe with this. And the woman being freshly fûcked and then hit by a fireball (wth)😂. I don’t know how someone sharing his trauma can be a turn on and it certainly wasn’t for me.

Another thing: not sure why she needed to run away from him and go practice her sport in the mall in secret, nothing to be ashamed of and no reason to run away from your bodyguard.
Yes , your freedom being in jeopardy and someone following you and breaking your privacy might be annoying initially, however at the end of the day if you actually had a stalker ,wouldn’t you want to have someone that will keep you safe ?
The explanation behind this was that she didn’t want her father to know and take it away from her but talking about how your father doesn’t care at all about you, your life and your hobbies this was made more serious than it actually was and therefore unnecessary ( the hiding , the explanation).

Lastly , this is personal preference, I wasn’t into the nickname he gave her. ‘Hen’ is not doing it for me.

Some conclusions:
The plot twist of the brother being the stalker hired from the father to kill Logan while he was still in the army( the drama 🎭) . Can’t see why if the General wanted Logan dead he would go to one of his close friends?
Also if we are diving into details regarding this story : how would he know this particular night Logan will want to f*ck his side girl in a random tent in the camp in order to throw a fire ball at them???
The ending was also extremely rushed, not many details were shared regarding the story with the general who remained unpunished I guess. Damon’s end was also rushed ( ah yes his “stalking “ has been revealed, time to end his life?

In terms of the characters:
Avery was pretty likeable. Did she make some reckless choices regarding her safety and try to be bratty- sure. Somehow her and Logan complimented each other you could say. But with so many details missing and rushed spicy scenes all in all I’d give it a 3.

“Hold on to the edge of the table and don’t move unless I tell you.”

4⭐️ Great storyline straight up it feels like oldschool Mills and Boon military men series tormented protector vibes. I’m loving it. It’s sort of makes me a little bit nostalgic.

The intrigue in this just pulls you along, like I had an idea about who it was but I couldn’t work out why and what the motivation was until a lot later on. It was a great mystery intrigued plot that held me captive.

I wanted more from this book. I know it was only 200 pages but I really wanted to get to know these characters and feel a little bit more angst and tension as they went along. I wanted more time in this world and I’m excited to see there’s more in this series.

I really enjoyed their dynamics and the push and pull between them. The BDSM daddy Dom sub vibes was really well done. Lots of cool new things to try out.

So I had started reading this and it was really good.. but all felt... familiar.
It wasn't on my already read list... but I knew who the stalker was.. why he was stalking ... everything that was going to happen... I knew it before I got to it... so I was like I HAD to of read this...
I still loved the story.

... but I found out why it wasn't marked off.. Looks like I had read it as a part of a compilation of books... I went look back in my journal and of course it was there. I really need to start marking off all the books I've read in those compilations and anthologies lmao It was the tease me one.. :D

I still really liked Avery and Logan's story. I love the whole body guard dynamic. It's well written, and I definitely can't wait to read more by this author.

lies and betrayal

When Avery’s father receives a perceived treat against her he brings in Logan to watch over her as her bodyguard/babysitter.

You learn secrets about Avery’s family on the search to find the stalker. The interactions between Avery and Logan range sweet, funny to spicy. Once he is fished waffling he gets the possessive “mine” mentality. This is full of secrets betrayal and lies.

Great quick read for me the mystery of who the stalker is and the other questions that come up in the book kept me turning the pages to find out the truth. DPOV. Little bit of “Daddy” kink in the book with D/S.

He will find the threat at all costs

Avery has been in her fathers shadow her whole life. Being a military brad isn't easy. But being the daughter of an up and coming politician isn't any better.
Threats to her life makes the retired general send her a bodyguard and that is when things really heat up.
I enjoyed Avery and Logan's story and I'm looking forward to more books in this series.

Excellent first read!

This was my first book by TL Hamilton and what an introduction!

I have really loved Target Me. It's well written, well paced and well plotted. The chemistry and heat between Logan and Avery is fire hot and their interactions are both hilarious and sizzling.

I am very much looking forward to read Bear's story some day -soon?

This book was so freaking good! I was unable to put it down and read it in one sitting. The twists and turns in the book were so good and kept me needing to keep reading. The way she was so open to explore things $exually to feel her own wants and needs, was so good.

I absolutely loved the story of Logan and Avery!
The chemistry between the two was hawt. I absolutely adored these two and the spice between the two was even hawter. Those two definitely deserve each other . By what I read of these two the title definitely suits their story.

Oh Daddy

It is totally a cliche, but there is a reason it is so hot! Bodyguard falls for his assignment...add a whole lot of daddy issues for both of them plus D/s dynamics and you get one steamy story with plenty of twists and turns!
