Premise of the series:
Sixteen-year-old Decca Tenderstone lives in a dystopian future Los Angeles, where every sixteen-year-old is ranked on a scale from One to Ten to determine their future. Teens ranked less than Five are called Monsters and are considered a danger to society. They are forced to attend the Monster Show- a brutal, sacrificial ritual that is broadcast worldwide on live TV. IF you can survive the Monster Show, you become a Ten. That's a big IF- no one has ever become a Ten.
In this Episode:Why was Decca Sedated, and Who is Leo, really? Will she survive? And is Woo alive? Who is Xitler and what are his plans with Faya? And Will Decca win? Will she kill Carnivore or will she lose like Woo?

omg!!! i need book two like now!!!! ahhh!!! lol as soon as i have the money i will be buying the rest of this series!!!! i would reccommend this book for anybody who likes the hunger games! i might even like it more than the hunger games! it is so easy to get lost in decca's character! she's amazing and i cant wait to see the choices she makes next!!!! :-)

This is a very unique dystopian YA series and don't let the beginning of the story fool you into thinking it is a copy of The Hunger Games. There are currently 3 "episodes" (or book installments) of Book 1 and I rated all 4 stars. What may at first glimpse seem like one dimensional storytelling has many layers to it, and I appreciated being rewarded with some of my theories that the story was far deeper than it appeared when I got to the ending author notes of "episode 3". Another great series by up and coming YA fantasy writer Cameron Jace.

Nice finale or is it? Again my only real, issue is the installments. If you like "Hunger Games" you will like these books. Don't be fooled though they are different even though they tackle the same subject. Loved reading them, I finished all 3 in the same day.

I loved the metaphors for the passage of time. It was hilarious.
Jace has so much potential. He has a great imagination and I look forward to seeing how his writing progresses.

This book is very much like the Hunger Games, but I was completely sucked into it! Quick, easy, fun read.

Not bad. I dunno if we were supposed to be surprised by the end or not, because I definitely wasn't. Most of this one was duller, the final battle was good.
