After being the sole witness in her parent’s death Ryann is moved across the country to California in protective custody. She now has a hard time handling the situation given to her, and her growing affection for Sam, the one person she shouldn’t have feelings for at all, and it becomes more difficult to keep her mind from thinking about him. Now, after she is free what should she do and is she doing the right thing? Can she really just believe that life works out after everything that she has endured in the last four years?

Sam hates where he comes from and is determined to never go back to that place, but when Ryann comes in she turns everything upside down and causes him to become someone he has never been before. Protecting her becomes his main priority.

Ok so the book was alright although I got board halfway through as I felt that the characters were just repeating themselves and there was not any depth in developing each characters background .
