Stone Kinney may have his PhD in astrophysics, but he knows nothing about women. He thinks argyle socks scream sexy. When Kyla Carter overhears his pathetic pickup lines, she agrees to give him lessons on how to get a girl. But nothing she does helps him snag a date. Of course, maybe there’s a reason for that…
I'm a former TV news anchor who know writes fiction for a living. I publish collections of sweet, sassy romantic short stories called Flirts! Bell Bridge books is publishing my Willowdale Romance Series. No Foolin' debuts November 25, 2012.
Stone's cluelessness went from cute to annoying rather quickly, and Kyla's outdated suggestions were just annoying. They managed to make up for all of it, when in the last few moments of the story, the inevitable happened, earning this story 3 stars instead of just 2.
4 sweet stars! This story was cute and funny. I loved Kyla and Stone! Though I couldn't understand what exactly Kyla was proving by working as perfume saleswomen? And why didn't Stone try his luck in library? And I didn't like her brothers.I mean ,your sister is crying be there for her.
More Flirts! By Lisa Scott 5 Romantic Short Stories Story 1: Pickup Lessons Stone Kinney is an absolutely adorable character. He is so smart in academics, but clueless with women. After reading books on dating he stakes out the perfume counter at the mall and uses cheesy pick-up lines. At the end of the day the gal working the counter, Kyla Carter, offers to give him lessons on picking up women. As it was obvious his books had failed him. http://justjudysjumbles.blogspot.com/...
Seriously, my dream guy! I would love to have a nerd of my own that I can gush about nerdy things to, but still be amazing. This book was super and really sucked me in! I laughed, cried, and fell in love. I have not had a chance to read the rest of the series yet, but this one is top notch! I love it!
I read this short story in around half an hour. It was funny, my husband actually asked me to be quiet as I was laughing so much. It's well written but what let's it down is the predictability. I knew from the 2nd page how the story was going to end, but I enjoyed it anyway.
