Someone who likes the genre of mystery and romcom will love reading this. The character of the male lead as the bored and pessimist and the female as the perfect character will always make a good chemistry IMO. As Nonomiya find the truth about the 'Murder Recipe' of the perfect and mature Yuuko, it's not surprising to discover a certain feelings to a certain point. The side characters are also entartaining. Mirai and Konan as frivolous and self-centered and Usami as the juice who balance the atmosphere of these extreme people. Upon reading Gekkou until the very end I can't still make the right answer to Nonomiya's question to Yuuko. So I think the author make it as an open end. The extra chapters are enjoying to read especially the cold season. You can't really help but to ship those two. This short light novel maybe not that amazing but it surely is a good read.
Honestly one of my first romance-comedy and mystery I've ever read. I thought it was really interesting, seeing the relationships with Nonomiya and Youko escalate.
This novel was the moment I realised 'self-insert male character meets girl too perfect for words' constitutes 45% of Japanese light novels. Another 45% are 'self-insert female character meets guy too perfect for words'. The remaining 10% are the same thing but with different permutations of gender.
