Bryan grew up in a strict, religious family. Sex before marriage was frowned upon. But then again, the rest of his family wasn’t a werewolf.
Michelle had been with Bryan for fourteen months, yet he hadn’t so much as hugged her plus size frame. Where is the line of respect drawn?
When Michelle threatens to walk away, Bryan must decide whether to follow his instincts and claim his mate or to remain true to a religion that isn’t always relative to the supernatural.
I was born and raised in Charleston, SC, but now live in the hottest place on earth: Orlando, FL. I have three beautiful children who keep me running non-stop. When I'm not juggling life and kids, you'll find me huddled away somewhere writing my next book or happily reading someone else's. Like most authors I've come across, I'm a coffee addict, own far too many books than I can fit on my shelves, and I go to work in my pajamas a lot.
I guess I didn't really mess with this one as much as the others. I thought it was weird he pretty much got permission from his parents to claim his mate.
As a whole this series is about being comfortable in your own skin. Weather your extra curvy or your boat floats a different way no matter who you are you deserve to be happy and find love and that's what these stories are all about. With a slew of hunky alpha males who were willing to help each heroine see the true beauty in themselves. I loved this series as a whole and how each story had a different way each alpha was able to show their mate that they were beautiful not in spite of but because of their curves. "The definition of beauty is different to everyone, just as our ideas of perfection are different" (Two times the Charm) Some of these heroines were afraid to allow themselves to think that someone could love them as they were and I loved how the alpha's were able to reassure their mates of their worth and learn how to be happy with themselves without fear. "Fear never encourages freedom; it supports oppression. It is those that live with no fear that achieve the most." (Two Times the Charm)
Loved how their paranormal aspect was incorporated in this series and I can't wait to read more!
Possibly my least favourite of the series so far. It didnt seem as connected as its predecessors and I kept wondering why he didn't just explain to her why he was waiting.
Being the kind hearted, understanding person she was surely he could see she would get it? It wasn't even unreasonable. He'd made a promise to his parents after going off the rails as a kid. The wolf side of him was barely under control so it would have made sense to be clear with her about it anyway. Afterall, he's supposed to be protecting her and this is important info. It was her insecurities and the fact he'd barely touched her in 14 months that was causing the doubt. Frankly I'd be right along with her if put in the same position.
I just don't think the premise was as well thought out as it should have been.
I love this series. Each one is different, even though it follows the same theme. I love how there are always different characters and different packs. It makes each story completely new. I think this one may be my favorite. Seeing him struggle between what he wanted, what his adoptive families had him promise, and his beliefs was very interesting. The only thing I wish was there, that wasn't, was a scene focused on their first hug. I am a mush ball, so pay me no mind on that.
It was good but most certainly different. Once again Christin Lovell has created something original. A werewolf not claiming his mate because he believe in a human religion. It's pure craziness and unheard of, well apparently not now. I enjoyed the novel and the characters. It felt a bit short to me and wasn't the best job Christin Lovell has done but I most certainly thought it was unique from the rest of the Alpha Doms series.
I have read all the books in this series and have not found one I do not like. The author brings you in from the first word and doesn't let go till the very end. This book was again another hit out of the park. I like how she shows how Brian's past has shaped who he is today and how he fights to figure out what is right for him. I also like how Michelle is looking looking for something but she doesn't know how to ask for it. This is a book that I would highly recommend.
Another great read by Christin Lovell ! This continues with the Alpha Dom theme, yet each new one tells a different story. As we progress through the series, the stories get a bit longer and more entailed. I love this, as we get to see more of the characters. A wonderful bed time story, once again
An OK addition, I'm not sure if Michelle knew Bryan was waiting until the wedding for religious reasons or not, but I get that insecurity comes in many guises so I let it lie.
I respect the author for attacking the story of faith and the supernatural. Having Bryan fighting his faith for the woman he loved, Michelle, had me all warm and tingly. I loved that in the end he had both; They never were at odds.
This is another great read by Christin Lovell. I'm so glad that I picked this book up. It's very well written. It's a fast read and one that I know I will be able to read again and again.
