This nonfiction title for adults provides inspirational and practical help for anyone whose faith is spent, and—like those who encountered Jesus in his day—in need of the refreshment only Jesus can give.
I truly like this book. Even though I'm Catholic and the author of this is a Christian and he takes a Christian approach, everything he wrote is applicable to everyone. After all, it's still the same bible which he's referring to.
Atteberry writes with a clear engaging style. His illustrations are excellent, though his humor can be slightly off color in places. The book overall is very encouraging, and slightly more substantive than other popular level works of its kind. The inclusion of the gospel plan of salvation, often omitted for fear of offense or dogmatism was refreshing.
This was given to me by a friend and it was just what I needed at this point in my life. Nothing feels certain for me. This book helped me see that its perfectly ok.
