Jeremy Myers is a popular author and blogger who writes at RedeemingGod.com
He writes to liberate Scripture and Theology from the shackles of religion. If you read his books, you will learn to follow Jesus in a more relational way.
Having known several people over the years who have greatly struggled with the idea of the unforgivable sin, I was greatly interested in Jeremy Myers' book 'Why You Have Not Committed The Unforgivable Sin.'
This is the first book by Myers that I have read, though I have been reading his blog on tillhecomes.org for a number of years. In his blog and in this book Myers has proven himself to be a careful thinker and a gentle teacher. This book reflects a simple style and a very straightforward way of interpreting some difficult Biblical passages. And in a world of convoluted theological logomachy, that is a breath of fresh air.
The book is short and to the point, and it proves its point in my estimation. If you or anyone you know has struggled with fear over the so-called 'unforgivable sin,' then I would suggest picking up Myers book. Whether you struggle with fear over this sin, or with fear over sin in general, the book will be a great encouragement to you.
The one theme I have noticed again and again in Myers' writing is an absolute devotion to the glorification and propagation of God's unfathomable grace; and in our moralistic age, when sometimes Christianity seems to be little more than a subdivision of one or the other political party, that is something we all need to be reminded about.
