"The Queen of Tease" offers interracial romance stories that will leave you eager for more and turning the pages faster than you can read them. If you enjoy that, Marie's writing is perfect for you. Marie was inspired to become a writer after reading her first "racy" book as a teenager. She started writing years ago to pursue her dream and create characters who embody the idea of "Happily Ever After" for her fans.
2.75 stars. I was looking forward to reading this paranormal book where the vampire's love interest is a woman of color, this pairing is a rarity for books in this genre. This book fell flat, not because of this mix; but because of the redundancy of the dialogue between the principle characters regarding their feelings or lack of feelings for each other. The heroine, Sabrina, was the consummate virgin, flighty yet compliant , she did little to thwart or block the sexual advances of Zander yet she kept insisting that he was like a brother. Zander was the unrelenting vampire set on winning his mate. So-oo, the better part of the book was like reading about someone pulling petals from a daisy, "she loves me, she loves me not, she loves me"....
I had relatively high hopes for this book as I'm a huge fan of IR paranormal romance and there seems to not be much of it coming out at the moment. I've read books by Marie Rochelle before, so I figured I would give this one a try. Normally, I find her books to be above average. But, this was a huge let down.
The heroine had the depth of a puddle and was your typical virginal, spineless door mat. The plot was predictable from beginning to end and I got so bored at one point that I eventually skimmed the last 10% of the book.
I've read better from this author, but after this I think I will take a break from this genre all together.
A very intimate read Ms Marie really express great details on how the heroine and hero came together along with supportive character from her previous and future series Alpha Male Incorporated.
