Mr. Rahul Kabade "You bling on the glitters to Hindu Mythology!!!!"
This book brings to us that distinct and precious part of Hindu Mythology that was buried deep inside our ancient Vedic culture. It throws light on those values and elements of Indian Mythology which is presently confined to certain people. In this book, the Author has elaborated the loftiness of the life of Lord Murugan in such a way which is itself self-eulogistic.Mr. Kabade has come up like a ray of hope to those, who are serendipitous towards discovering something unique and queer in Indian Mythology.
I must say "this book is an awesome book to read"!!!!! This is My second spiritual book after "Mahabharata".I specially like the insidiousness of the childhood tale of Lord Murugan. Its really fascinating!!! That is why I have decided to go for every book written by this Author. A must read book for Readers of every generation!!!!!
If you're a mythology lover, then you'll very likely love this book! I love the spiritual aspect of this as well. I found I could not put this book down, it was definitely a great read and I'd highly recommend it to anyone who's interested in spirituality and mythology.
A short but elegant book that can open you up to the grace of Muruga. It has the details of the great works, important places of worship and connects the Kumara worship traditions across Indian sub-continent. It reconnects a typical Tamil back to his roots at the lotus feet of Murugan.
Who is Lord Murugan?? A lost Deity perhaps (as one would wonder by seeing the word "Lord" being prefixed in front of it), amongst hundrends and thousands of Hindu Gods and Goddesses existing in Hindu Mythology (as believed). The reason i say that Lord Murugan is a lost Deity is because of the fact that very little is known about him or his miracles to people in current times. This book "Shri Muruga" is based on the life and times of Lord Murugan who's considered to be Lord Shiva's son ,amazed?? Yes, i would say i was amazed to know that he's Lord Shiva's son as i'd no inclination of his existence, i confess that i've never heard of him before from anyone. It was from the author's book that i came to know about Lord Murugan and his importance in Indian culture. This deity is mostly worshipped in South India as the deity's literature suggests majority of which is written in Sanskrit, Malayalam, Tamil and therefore i can infer that being a north-indian i never heard of him or seen his temples. The author has done a dedicated & a commendable work towards researching the life and birth of Lord Muruga. He has given minute details covering the existence and birth of Lord Muruga from ancient scriptures like skanda puran and he has written profusely everything realted to spirituality with regards to Lord Muruga and his influence. Most of the temples of this deity can be found in south-east asian countries like Malaysia, Singapore,Srilanka, etc.
Author has described many folk tales, rituals, beliefs relating to the life of the deity. It is thus a work of immense dedication & love towards his diety that author has managed to give us a book which is worth a treasure, provides great insights into Tamil mythology and it's a treat for anyone who's interested in knowing and learning about Lord Murugan.
"One of my favourite books of Indian Mythology!!!!" An amazing work done by the Author Mr. Rahul Kabade to conceive an idea of writing a book about a deity who is not so popular in India. As many other religious Authors opt to write a story about Lord Shiva,Lord Krishna,etc..who are already so popular in Indian culture and many Indians know much about these deities. But what Mr. Kabade did,he preferred to write a story about a deity who is not so popular among Indians and not even described in other religious and Indian mythology books which itself makes this book so much fascinating and unique that people would like to go for this book.
