Luna St. Germaine couldn't remember much before her father had arrived at the small town of Morning Star Lake and taken her forcefully from her grandmother. She didn't recall the death of her mother. She didn't recall spending hours running with her in the forests around Morning Star Lake. All of that was denied her because of drugs to contain her feline nature.
She wasn't aware that another had been created as well, only Lydia Jones didn't have the luxury of growing up knowing either a mother or grandmother. And the only father figures she knew were in the orphanage in the form of trainers and teachers.
Now they were both learning there was a lot more out there for both of them.
I like writing. I don't have a magic place where the stories or people arrive, other then when I'm asleep, they appear, like movies. Some are simple romances; some involve a messed up family life; some involve outside influences and business and still others might trail along the paranormal or BDSM path.
You just never know.
I'm sorry the covers don't appear here and I'm trying to figure out how to make them show with the titles.
Otherwise, they are on Allromanceebooks.com; smashwords, amazon.com & Nook - they were on bookstrand, but we won't vent on that topic at the moment.
On Allromanceebooks, you can read the 1st chapter of each.
For the people who enjoy my writing and read the stories:
Circle of Friends is the mildest of my stories. There is less harsh swearing or harsh use of words with regards to sex. There is sex - but it's not as graphic.
WindSwept Narrows: Does have more harsh swear words and more graphic language, both during sex and just in life. It's a more honest depiction of reality, I think.
The 'regular' shifter stories - graphic and fun.
The Menage stories - please...they are graphic. Period.
Independence: Again...it's BDSM based and quite graphic.
Strong, interesting characters abound in the second installment of Karen Nichols' Devil Hills series. Luna's character was wonderfully written, vulnerable with a core of solid steel inside. She was certainly my favorite. There was something about her that touched me. Lydia on the other hand was the exact oppisite, steel covering a very vulnerable core. Sage and Jude were just the alpha males that matched the women to perfection. Watching them try to figure out how to protect theses women that had stolen their hearts without crushing their spirits brought more then one laugh.
