Kaige “Super Nova” Davis doesn’t carry a chip on his shoulder. It’s more like a beast in his belly…and right now the monster he’s fought so hard to tame is growling to unleash its legendary temper.
Eli has gone behind his back and hired a marketing consultant. But when Kaige storms into the office to give Eli hell, one look at the mocha-skinned brunette seated across the desk flips a switch in his brain. And in his pants.
Nola Brown has never experienced Kaige’s powerful brand of sexual charisma. He makes her want to ditch her professional façade and be herself—a mistake she can’t afford to make. Yet just as he talks her defenses down—and proves that grease marks look just as good on her skin as a silk suit—she stumbles in on one of the Hot Rods’ late-night, full-throttle sessions.
Now Kaige wonders if she’ll embrace this glimpse of their future, or if she’ll run as fast as her killer stilettos can take her.
Product Warnings Contains a garage full of hot, passionate men who are good with their hands, and a woman who isn’t afraid to get a little down and dirty. And cute puppies. And did we mention hot men?

my biggest complaint with this book was that i found all the names confusing. everyone has a real name and a nickname... and despite having read every book in this series, i found it difficult to follow who was speaking or doing something. one minute he is kaige and the next he is super nova, or maybe he is just plain nova. that got annoying and confusing very quickly. i was able to remember kaige equals nova, and eli equals cobra and sally equals mustang (perhaps because i read the books from those characters)... but the other guys... i just could not keep straight who was who even though the author made an effort to help readers keep it straight by repeating who was who over and over. i liked this story and yes there was still hot group sex in this book but i felt it was a little toned down compared to the other books in this series...well, perhaps "toned down" is not the appropriate thought, because i guess, by mere definition, group orgys are not normally considered tame or toned down. i am hooked on this series and will buy them all as they are released. so far, though, the "hot rods" series is not as good as her "powertools" series.
I have read the rest of the series and it's quite good but there are moments when it's repetitive within each book but great for a short read.... meet the crew!!!!
Nola and Nova are such a cute couple, and I totally enjoyed reading their story. The Hot Rods are slowly moving into the direction that they all want and pushing boundaries as they go along. The group has a new challenge in their newly formed intimacy though when they are faced with adding an additional member to their group. I think Nova's personal struggle with this was reasonable, but that he took a lot on himself too. Overall this was a great read, and I definitely am looking forward to the next book in this series.
Great ménage series !! It's more than ménage, it's polyamory. Tastefully done m/m, m/f/m, etc. This book is about "Nova" finding his woman, Nola. Deeply thought filled characters, true emotions, terrific characters from previous stories, and from the Powertools Series also. Suspense, twists and turns, and true romance. Sizzling sex scenes and heartfelt feelings make this a great, well written tale. "Rebel" is the lead in the next story. I love this writer. ENJOY !!!
was good but took me a long time to get into this book, not sure why. Kaige or Super Nova falls hard for Nola but is afraid that the lifestyle him & the crew live might shock her & chase her away. Everything comes to a head at Eli, Alonso & Sally's wedding & it leaves Kaige shocked & surprised.
Nola and Nova's beginning wasn't easy, but boy did they have chemistry. Though Nova can't keep his temper reined in, does that mean he could lose it all? Plus, he needs to share with Nola how the Hot Rods share. This books adds some new characters that makes things interesting around the shop. Love this series, especially how each has each other's back.
Each and every book has built on the previous one. I'm so enjoying this series as well as I did the previous one. I wish I had been reading each series in order. I had the shields first as a gift. I enjoyed the authors writing style, so purchased the first series. Doing the series in order has answered questions that had remained in the back of my mind after shields. Looking forward to catching up on all the series.
So, when NOLA was first introduced I didnt care for her at all. She didnt seem right for Kaige and honestly I resented her for trying to come into the Hot Rods gang. As the story went on though she proved herself to be right for him. She helped with his rage issues, helped him feel smart and wanted and in the end accepted him for himself and embraced his lifestyle.

Super Nova is another steamy read in the Hot Rods series. At first, I wasn't sure if I would like Nola — she came into the Hot Rods, and it looked like she was about to usurp Nova's place in the business. But in true romance novel fashion, the sparks flew between them, and enemies soon turned to lovers. If you are looking for a quick, hot read that will keep you entertained, snatch this up!
Hell yes, super nova can set any woman's blood to boiling. Hot, sexy and full of past issues he would light anybody's fuse. Add in No la and you have a matched set. So sit back and enjoy. Happy reading
Good god that was awesome! Like super-duper-I-knew-it-would-be-but-it-was-even-better-than-I-expected awesome!!
Kaige is our blonde dread-locked, blue eyed hero with a super temper to go with his name. He is the hot rod in second command to the business end of the shop. With Eli, Sally and Al in full wedding mode, he has been called upon on lot, so when Eli lets him know he has hired a consultant, he takes it bad
Determined to drive off what he considers an unnecessary accessory, he finds himself attracted to Ms. Nola Brown instead. She is a strong and feisty lady who has had a few hard-knocks in her life as well. She is more than a match for him in every way. They are near perfect for each other
Trouble is, the hot rods are just settling into their groove of polyandry and he stays away until he can figure out what he has with Nola and how it all fits with the others. The hot rods understand, Nola has no clue, and Nova can't figure out how to break it to her
With the Powertools, each new person was brought into the group, but that isn't the case here. Kaige stays conflicted until the end, and his fellow hot rods help him figure everything out
First the annoying stuff, the switch between the real names and the nicknames, I still haven't got it. It messes me up when reading the story and confuses the story-line more than once when it switches during a story.
Also, the final scene with all the helpful hints from the powertools, seems a little......condescending really. I love the powertools, but they were all know-it all'ish and came across like arrogant jerks in the scene
Now the awesomeness of the book - Kaige is so, so sexy, sweet, kind, crazy, wondrously male that he takes your breath away! Dream up a man, and he would have the qualities of this hot rod
Nola is no pushover, but neither is she a ball-buster. She is a woman, and not afraid of that fact. She is smart, sexy and sensitive. She accepts where she came from and where she is, and what she wants to be happy
Great characters in a great story, there really isn't anything better!
Super Nova book three in the stupendously fabulous Hot Rods series by Jayne Rylon had just climbed to the top of my favorite books by Jayne list. Kaige “Super Nova” Davis is just plain and simple HOT AS HELL!! He leaves me tongue tied. Never in all my days did I think I would fall for a man with dreads, but I’ll be damned if I didn’t here.
Like all of the Hot Rods, Kaige was taken in by Cobra’s dad when he was in his teens. This is a family that was made not one of blood, but they are closer than some people together because of blood ties. And since Cobra brought out another element of their relationship, they are closer on a whole nother level. But Kaige still wants more. Does it make him greedy that he wants a forever love and the closeness that the Hot Rods share? Can he find someone that can accept all of him?
When Nola Brown is brought in as a consultant by Cobra, it is safe to say that Kaige doesn’t take it well. He is determined to run her off until he sets eyes on her, and she knocks the breath from his body.
Like Kaige and the Hot Rods, Nola has fought for everything that she has. She and her sister have come from the bottom to run a successful business. She has never experienced the beyond powerful sexual pull that is between her and Nova, but she is determined to resist it at first. That is just easier said than done. But will she be able to accept all that comes with being with Nova??
This is a seriously melt you e-reader hot book. I absolutely love Nola and Nova’s banter. Their emails had me giggling. I also love that in each of these books we get small visits from the Powertools Crew we love so much. They are like the pervolicious gurus when it comes to these lifestyles. I love that they mentor the Hot Rods to their HEAs. Can’t wait to get the next installment of this wonderful bunch of hot men!!
Author Jayne Rylon has once again revved up our engines and taken her readers on another thrilling, mouth-watering, sexy ride in her latest Hot Rod story about Kaige Davis aka Super Nova. We get to see the sexy Hot Rods in action right from the get-go as they continue to explore their newfound sexual bond. I love the dynamics of this tight-knit group and how much they all love and respect one another. A slight misunderstanding between Kaige and Eli (King Cobra) about business puts a little strain between the two alpha guys but not for long. Eli's misguided yet good intentions brings Nola Brown into Kaige's life and after their initial tense encounter, they begin a flirtatious relationship that soon turns into something more meaningful. Nola is able to calm Kaige's temperament with only a look or a touch, but will she be able to handle his sexual need and connection to the other Hot Rods and Mustang Sally, the only woman in their group?
I really enjoyed the developing friendship between Nola and Mustang Sally and the genuine affection between these two women. I also liked the acceptance Nola felt whenever she witnessed a close moment between Kaige and the others; she didn't judge or make him choose. Nothing was more perfect to showcase her acceptance of all things Hot Rods than their reunion with the Power Tools gang. OMG! Those scenes were just smokin' hot *fans self* and you will definitely need to cool off somehow.
The author gave us a glimpse of some deeper connections among the Hot Rods and I'm especially dying to read Roman's (Barracuda) story. I fell more in love with him than ever as we got to see him come out of his shell a bit and express his feelings. But of course, all good things must wait as many more Hot Rods must get their happy ending first which I don't mind one bit. I thoroughly enjoyed reading Super Nova and I love this series. Looking forward to reading Rebel on the Run next.

Holy hotness!! Let's jump toward the end of this one for a second so I can tell you that there is a giant sexy free for all in this book. I'm talking the Hot Rods AND The Powertools Crew all in one place. Now they don't all play together together but they are all in one place getting it on. These are my favorite parts of these books because I love trying to catch a mistake. There are so many moving parts (ha) in these big group scenes, but I've yet to catch a mistake yet from Jayne. Ok back to the beginning. I was excited about this one because we get a new comer to the group. The first two books in the series have only involved original Hot Rods members. And to be honest there are so many of them that it's a good thing we got to books to get to know them a little better. Sometimes listening to the books is a bit confusing because each of the guys is mentioned by their real names and their nicknames. The switches actually feel really natural, they just made me a little dizzy from time to time. Nola was a great addition to the team. She has all the sass necessary to keep Kaige reigned in and make him happy. These two were perfect for each other. There first meeting is full of attitude from Kaige, but even then he knew she was something special. They have some amazingly sexy moments on their own and then with the rest of the Hot Rods. I enjoyed the email exchanges between them too. They shared a lot of keyboard action before they moved to touching! I'm so looking forward to continuing my way through this series. Rebel is coming up next and it certainly sounds like it is going to be a doozy!
I'm fully aware that Jayne Rylon is my catnip and an auto-buy author for me. However, I still loved Super Nova, and it's going to be hard to figure out just where in the list of her books it falls for me.
Nola as a character hit it out of the park. My absolute favourite quote is when she calls out Kaige for having lava-balls and infringing on her personal space -- she's smart, she's professional, and even if the bad boys of the garage are making her a little melty she still knows what she wants and she'll go after it with all her heart. It's a big heart, too -- I can't wait to see her personality thrive within the group.
It was sweet to see everyone else and the relationships of the other Hot Rods developing, but the undertones of love, respect and acceptance are just as strong and sexy as in the previous books. I'll admit, tiny cameos by the Powertools crew is pretty sweet too, but nobody takes over the spotlight as we get to see Nola and Nova's friendship and attraction evolve.
You don't need to have read the other books in the series to get this one, although it will definitely add to the experience if you've at least read King Cobra and Mustang Sally -- and honestly, if you read this first and enjoy it, you'll likely go back for them.
PS, multiracial, pan-romantic stories that include a puppy are awfully hard to top.

Mayhap I wasn't in the mood to read this one. I did like it.
Perhaps I'm just being niggly about it.
I really really want to love this series. I absolutely love the concept, but it's juts falling a bit flat at times. I think I would be much happier with it if they had been full sized novels.
Why?
Because everything happened so fast.
Kaige went from hating Nola to constantly touching her/holding her hand literally in the span of 5 minutes.
And Nola... hmmm I wasn't that impressed with her. It took me a really long time to even just like her. I had nothing against her... I just didn't... ehhh she was ehh with a dose of meh thrown in.
It was good to see the Powertools though.
All in all it wasn't bad... I think I just had too high expectations for it.
As always, I love the cover, as the photographer is someone I now count as a cherished friend due to reading this series. For that, I will always be grateful.
Another great book from Jayne. I didn't find it as hot as the other two hots rods or the power tools but it was still great. It was good to learn more about super nova but I found this book complicated as Jayne often used names and nick names, often in the same sentence. The Power Tools put in an appearance and we see more of Sally, Al and Eli's relationship. Also we see the Hot Rods as a group progress. I enjoyed Super Novas story but we didn't get to really know Nola and Novas story was kept very much on the surface. I think both his and Nola's background could have been explored much more. I felt like at the end a major bit of the book had been left out weather though editing or time constraints. All in all I still enjoined this book. Super Nova is another great character in the Hot Rods and we get to see more of the boys' personalities. I'm looking forward to the next one, although this time I will re read to refresh on everyone's names and nick names!
While I didn't like Super Nova as much as Mustang Sally, the second book in the super-duper, hot-and-sensual Hot Rods series, it was still damn good. Kaige and Nola had fantastic chemistry and cultural diversity is always appreciated. Also appreciated? Getting to see the Powertools Crew again at a special event. Looking forward to the next book in the series, Rebel on the Run. I give Super Nova 3.5 stars.

✰✰✰✰ Liked this the best in the series so far. NoLa and NoVa didn't hit it off right away although that changed as Nova apologized for his behavior and they began their email correspondence and found out how much they did have in common. By the time they actually 'did' it, they were getting close.
Now I don't know about you, and I loved the Powertools and getting there on this series, but these are fantasy series, because the whole doing it with your coworkers is a bit farfetched. Thank goodness Nova didn't have to choose between his buds and Nola since she jumped right in.
Great 3rd book in the series. Picking up right where Mustang Sally left off, the Hot Rods are even hotter in this edition. the additiona of Nola to the mix works well. Another strong woman to fit into the sexy world of the HotRods?
I, being a car chick myself, appreciate the details Jayne throws in about the cars they work on at the garage. The nicknames like Super Nova for Kaige work great for me. I only wish Nola had a better car.
The Not for the faint of heart this book is filled with great group scenes and sexy imagery. If you're into erotica and like a little mmfmmmmfm action definately pick this book up!
This third installment in the Hot Rods series (which is a spinoff of the Powertools series) is hot, hot, hot! This book is Kaige's story and our sexy dredds wearing cutie is trying to decide if he can find love and still be faithful to his crew. We also get to see the powertool crew in this book as well. I loved this book and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for that something more in a sexy read.Jayne Rylon
Hot, Hot, Hot is all I can say about this series! I love Kaige and Nola, they make one another whole! I love the bond between the Hot Rods and how they love one another no matter what! There interactions are not conventional but they don't care. They draw you in to their feelings and love and how they fight their pasts to have a future they deserve! I also love how Jayne brings in the Powertool's crew for advice and direction!! I am excited for the next book, they get hotter and hotter, if that's even possible!
Kaige is one hot hunk. Of all the Hot Rods I can really picture just what he looks like. And not just because of the dreads. His tats, white, white skin & blonde Viking good looks. His emotions, fear, love, & anger, they're real. Mixed in Nola & he becomes the best he can be. I appreciate when couples compliment each other.
Of course the sex is great! The Wedding surprise rocks!!
On to Bryce, I'm really curious about what his story is. I have a thought & Rebel fits him perfectly!! ;-)
This was the 3rd book in the Hot Rods series. What a great book. I can't wait until the next one. Super Nova is a man that has a past like all hot rods but his is violent. He tries to keep it under control until he meets the beautiful Nola Brown.
He is taken by her and she feels the sparks also. but he doesn't want to break the connection between the crew and himself but He doesn't know if Nola will be up for their sexual activities.
This is a must read. Lots of Hot Sex and group sex. Also a loving marriage ceremony even though it is not conventional.
Yaaay Super Nova's story! This was great, the menage scene were hot and raunchy per the norm for this series!!!! Super meets Nola a consultant brought in to vamp up Hot Rods and Super Nova (Kaige) falls head over heels! It was great and the Arabian Nights scene/wedding reception was awesome sauce! I really liked how open and loving Nola was. Yes the name/nickname thing can get confusing but so can having sex with more than one person!! ;)
