In Life with a A Turkish Quest American teachers Toni and Craig, traveling through Turkey in 1988, fall in love with the Black Sea coast and decide to build a house there. This is the story of their 10-year endeavor to overcome unforeseen obstacles, secure water and electricity, and learn to flourish in their newly-adopted Asian environment.
I am a lover of travel memoirs, with Under The Tuscan Sun being one of my favorite books. Sepeda's writing was not stellar in my own opinion, but it did give me some insights into Turkey, a new place of interest to me. She gave a descriptive and insightful view of the culture.
I had the great fortune of being a student of Dr. Toni Sepeda for several years; this book epitomizes the experience as her student: great stories, wonderful adventures, and a fantastic learning experience!
