Take hold of your destiny.

Etta Fleming doesn’t know she was meant to return to her true reality four years ago. After years of being the “orphan girl” in the alternate world she grew up in, she’s finally carved a niche for herself with a great job, a steady boyfriend, and a best friend by her side.

Undeterred by the shift in the timeline, it is up to Cooper Everett and his friends to convince Etta that she is still destined to become their leader, fighting against their post-apocalyptic future.

Will meeting the ghosts of her past convince Etta that she’s part of a grander destiny? Or will her past, present, and future worlds collide?

This is it? Are you kidding me? Well, supposedly there might be a fourth book at some point, but seeing as how it's been three years since the release of this one, who knows if that ever happens. Either way, I don't think I'll bother with it if it ever gets written. This series is getting more and more frustrating the more I read of it - the characters seem to be getting shallower with every book, the plot is a confusing mess, and there is still no action. Not even a little bit. Zilch. Jaime being sent back to the orphan reality and succeeding in preventing Etta from going with Cooper this time around, thereby creating an entirely new timeline, was a very promising plot twist - but once again, nothing actually happened in the entire book except Cooper being annoying, Etta being indecisive and juvenile, and the extras (aka those other completely one-dimensional characters that for some as yet unclear reason are oh-so-important to the success of that rebellion we've barely seen anything of) play Christmas Carol. How... fascinating. And whatever happened to Taylor? Apparently she's so forgettable, even the author forgot about her.

So... Im giving the entire series thus far a synopsis/review. I think this was a fantastic and fun read. I only gave the books 3 stars and this one 4 because there were so many grammatical and publishing errors that i had to re-read many pages over again. It is definitely a book series i will read again, because I truly enjoyed it. I love the idea of parallel worlds and and LOVE how Claudia Lefeve pulls them all together. I sincerely am looking forward to the next book! This is a fun dystopian style read, CLEAN, which is extremely important to me, especially when I want to recommend what I read to my daughter, or son. I love the characters and the mystery behind Jaime's life. I am drawn to books that involve any type of foster care because of my own personal experiences with it, and I love that the author tends to paint those dreams that children really do have when it comes to they parents.

Definitely a fun and quick read!

Meet Etta four years later: she’s in her early twenties, still addicted to coffee, skipped college to work as a paralegal for a ball busting family law attorney, is in a serious relationship with the popular high school jock that never noticed her in while they were high school together. This Etta is different than how we left her at the end of book two, and it’s only because her father’s evil former research partner Thornberry has ordered someone to travel into the past to prevent seventeen-year-old Etta from traveling with Cooper to her original reality to lead the rebellion against him.

When someone interfered with Etta’s jumping into the proper reality, the timeline was altered. Cooper and the other members of the group that were assembled in book two, Paradox, knew that something had gone wrong because the 2017 version of Etta was there with them one day and gone the next. So Cooper, 2017 timeline Etta, Jenny, Moose, and one of the twins Chase band together to find a way to get past Etta back on track and find out where the timeline went astray.

When Cooper reappears in Etta’s life after a four years absence where he’d tried to convince her to leave with him when she was seventeen, he again tries to sway her into his favor. But this time, he changes tactics–and he doesn’t shy away from using their sizzling romantic connection to his advantage. Unfortunately for Cooper, his charm isn’t enough to pull Etta in, so Jenny, Moose, and Chase have to use their own ways to show Etta that she is very important to the cause.

Etta has grown into a more confident young woman, but she has commitment issues and often goes to her best friend Jamie for advice. While it seemed to take Etta a long time to catch on to what was happening right before her eyes, she takes a very big risk in the end of the book that made me cheer. I always love it when girl power kicks in and a character takes charge of her own fate.

I give this one a five out of five. Paradigm finishes off volume one of the Travelers series on a strong note with a fast paced look at how one change in a past event can alter the course of things across the board. Great character development, and an increased look into Cooper’s psyche is a plus. I can’t wait to dive into book four and kick off the rebellion.

Etta's life has been altered. She was supposed to go back to her reality in another dimension and learn about her abilities once she met Cooper. But her friend Jaime made sure that didn't happen. Etta is to become a leader for the rebellious team who are going to take down Thornberry. Her teammates and friends are being sent to show Etta her past, present and future to convince her to leave with Cooper. With many struggles, her friends manage to convince her, while she also works on piecing the missing puzzle together. She learns the truth about her alternate life and the reality she belongs to. She makes a risky choice in the end, but it ends up right where she needs to be and then she remembers everything.

I liked this quote in the book: "It may seem like were changing the future, but were actually trying to correct it. Its like the butterfly effect." I really enjoyed this development in the series. I find it so fascinating that there's alternate dimensions, the psychic abilities: such as astral projection, telekinesis, empathy and so on.
I can't wait to read Book #4: Parameter which comes out in Spring/Summer 2013!!

In Paradigm Etta’s reality veered off course from the life she led in Paradox. In her current reality, she’s grown up as an orphan but doesn’t know anything about her Aunt Maggie, is in a serious relationship with a desirable law student, and spends her time working as a paralegal. The only consistency is her best friend Jamie. Cooper must return to Etta’s current reality and convince her to once again change courses. Paradigm answered any questions that I had from Paradox and once again Claudia does a great job of summarizing past events organically. Etta questions the people that she thought were her friends and grows closer to the eclectic cast of characters from the future. Cooper and Etta’s relationship develops into much more than mentor/mentee/ friend relationship. I’m excited to read the forth book in the series, Parameter!

Finally all the multiple universes and loose ends are tied up in Lefeve's "Paradigm." At first it took me a bit to dive in, only because it's been a few months since I read "Paradox." I was pleasantly surprised by the new twist this novel took Etta and our characters. I loved the fact that so many secrets were finally revealed. And, of course, that we got a lot more Cooper time! Thus far it has been a wonderful journey, growing with a now, new adult Etta. Looking forward to Volume Two in this complex, yet compelling series.

Take me to the end please!

I'm not a big fan of this book of the series. After the course of history and reality was altered Coop spends almost 80 % of tbe storyline to fix what went wrong, facing several setbacks on the way. It's back and forth, back and forth and it's getting really boring really soon.

However, when I reached the end I didn't regret enduring it all because everything falls into place eventually.

So it's more a filler book except for the last part and I strongly recommend you read it so you can enjoy the ending and have high hopes for book 4.

I actually didn't love this one as much as the first two. Maybe because I was slightly frustrated. I felt like I was standing in a corner watching Etta run around in circles and I was screaming SERIOUSLY THE AWNSER IS RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU!!!! But this frustration was what also made me love this book. I haven't read a book in a while that made me feel that way. I can't wait for the 4th installment!

The whole series was Ok. The concept was neat, and I enjoyed all the characters, except Etta. However, what ruined it for me we're all the horrible and obvious spelling errors and word omissions. Who on earth edited these books?!? They were definitely quick reads, and I'll likely read any others that come out, just to see how she finishes the stories. Don't know that I would recommend them to anyone though.

It took me a little longer to get through this book, but I still enjoyed it. A lot was made clearer throughout the series. Though the ending of this book did make sense, it was a little abrupt. Also, this is supposedly the end for now, but the author alluded to another one (hopefully), and I hope she writes it soon, because there was no resolution for Etta's "fight".

3 1/2 stars. Paradigm has been my favorite of this series so far. The time travels and alternate realities start to make more sense in this book. We also find out how Cooper is from the past and the future. The next book will finally move on to what is happening in that future alternate reality.

I reread the first two before I dove into this one and I am SO glad I did. It really did make me appriciate the story more going through the beginning of the journey again. I am very excited that this series isn't over, but I am impatiently awaiting the next book.

The suspense factor is higher here being the last of the trilogy. apparently this is not the end of the series as there's still plenty of unfinshed events in the story but the ending is quite satisfactory. Definite like.
