3 Shapeshifting Stars!

I love shapeshifters! And the ability to change into an animal seems so much appealing to me. Sara Humphreys has created a very interesting mythology in the Amoveo series.

So far I've really enjoyed the worlbuilding and all the intrigue. I picked up the book and I was ready for a Purist/Loyalist faceoff and since Layla knew her legacy I was expecting breathtaking action and.....

description

For 2/3 of the book we live through Layla's reluctance to mate with (the amazing , I had to add that!) William. She runs and then runs some more and then she sticks her head in the sand...

The last part of the book was what it endeared it to me! Finally we meet the council, the lines are drawn and we can put faces on the Purist who threat the Amoveo race.

The Cadeo was suspiciously missing from this installment but I feel they will come back with a vengeance.

Overall I liked this book but I think that it served as an interlude to prepare us for the official war declaration. I was also in a love/hate relationship with the main couple.

I'm sticking with these series because I can see the potential and I'm expecting great things from the next book about Marianne and Pete.

Sara Humphreys your Amoveo World is amazing!!

Untamed is the third book in the Amoveo series. I have been meaning to read this series, I fell in love with book one over five years ago but when the series became freebies last year, I grabbed them all up because YEAH I am not going to resist that temptation. And I keep forgetting about it, but this series is just perfect to read around this time of year and after getting into Untamed I just knew that I needed to delve more into this world of the Amoveo Legend. Every time I read it, I just fall more in love with the way these books are written and so much plot development to make your head spin---in a verra good way of course.

Untamed starts out with our hero, William Fleury, who has a mate and he has been seeking her out in the dream realm which is normal for their people. He knows that she is gifted with a camera and a runner because she is running from him and she knows what she is which is not the norm for those that are considered to be hybrid. But William isn't one to give up on something as special as a mating and only want to show his mate that there is nothing to be scared of.

Layla Nickelsen, is a special photographer that prefers scenery to people. She has a special gift, one of them include being able to sense emotions and impressions when she photographs people and it can sometimes be too much for her at times. But now her mate is trying to come to her in dreams and she fears the mating bond and so she returns to her home where she was raised. But she never planned on her mate following her to her home and endearing himself to her family. But William is stubborn and determined and refuses to give up on Layla. But William also wants Layla for more than a simply biological urge, he wants her heart and her mind. But there is an enemy that wants to destroy Layla and any hybrids out there in the world, but will revealing enemies prove to bring about a more dangerous plot?

I have to say that this book proved to be everything that I was hoping for and more. I just adored everything about it, and boy the plot that surrounds the romance is delightful. We learn so much more about the Amoveo world, the purists and their hatred for the Hybrids and a civil war that is brewing among their kind. I found this section of the book to be so fascinating and it only made me want to read the next book because WOW!!
“Fate or imprinting, or whatever the hell my people want to call it – none of that can make me love you.”
“I love you, Layla. I love your stubborn streak, the way you love Rosie, Raife, and Tati. I admire you desire for independence, and Lord knows, I love your moxie.”

The romance that develops between the two is slowly built within the story. I simply enjoyed the way that this author wrote this book. Layla needs the time to trust in William. She is a runner, and she is used to it. But her family makes her realize that she needs to face up to her fears and reservations and "take the bull by its horns" as it were and face up to the mating and give William a chance. It's a slow turn around, Layla is used to living in a certain way so having to change take time for her to do it. But William is patient and good-humored about everything and considering he is a lawyer and prefers his suit and tie to a pair of jeans ....he has to learn some things too including how to live on a ranch and relax a bit more.

These aren't super long books though, so they read pretty quickly and might not have quite as much depth (with only 300 pages) as say a 400-page book, however, this author writes these books so well that you rarely see the lack of depth at times. I really love how engaging the book turned out to be and I stayed up half the night reading it because I was engaged. I just couldn't get enough of the plot lines, the characters that steal your heart and the swoon filled love story that jump out at the reader.

Overall I found Untamed to be a sexy filled page turner that has suspense, mystery, a civil war on the horizon and all the romance to satisfy any reader!!

Ok, I love, love, love this series!! The books just keep getting better. I enjoyed this book, but it has wanting more NOW! The characters are great. I can't wait to see the new additions get their stories. Of course, it is always nice catching up with past characters. Sara Humphrey's is a great voice in the paranormal romance genre. You must read these books. You won't be disappointed.

This is book three in the Amoveo Legend series but I hadn't read the first two and didn't need to. This world of shifters who have other energy abilities is well conceived and presented in an easily understood manner. I like this unique world and know other paranormal readers will too.

I also like the characters. William and Layla appear on the outside to be opposites. Layla is a free-spirited photographer and William is an uptight attorney. But they balance each other beautifully. Since this is a shifter romance with the destined mate concept, I worried that the romance would be force but it wasn't. The author successfully addresses Layla's desire to be loved for herself, not just because William thinks they're mates. I do wish that Layla had been a bit more loving to William but it was enough to suffice.

The action plot was extremely well written and kept my attention from beginning to end. The Amoveo purists are a believable threat and I love the ending as it linked William and Layla back to the Amoveo culture at large. This novel whet my appetite for subsequent novels in the series and I can't wait to read them too.

Favorite Lines: “You can’t make me fall in love with you and expect to get away with it.” (p. 301, e-galley)

Have you started reading Sara Humphreys’ Amoveo series yet? I did a while back and I don’t regret it either. It’s a predestined mate, shifter style romance series that sometimes is just what I want. Untamed is book three in the series. I think it can be read as a stand alone.

Imagine shifters living in the same world as you and I. As with most cultures/peoples there are those who are content with intermingling with others and those against it. This internal “purest” battle makes a ginormous jump from secretive to in-your-face by the end of the story, but that really doesn’t help the characters of Untamed. It does tell us the direction the series will be going in the future.

Characters: The heroine Layla was introduced in book two, but the reader really gets to know her in Untamed when she returns to her roots in rural Maryland. It’s clear from the beginning that Layla is half Amoveo, but if you’ve read previous books you know half-Amoveos are thought to be scarce. There are secrets and people in Maryland who I expect to make appearances in future books. The hero, William, has always come across as a stuck up lawyer. He has reason to be aloof, but his interactions with his would-be-mate just might turn him into the sexy man-next-door. It was nice to see him let loose a little. Layla’s brother and a girl from Layla’s past are secondary characters to watch.

The Chase: Right away we are taken into a shared dream between William and Layla. That chase doesn’t stop until the book is over. The story keeps moving forward as William tries to prove himself to his mate. He worked hard to show he was worthy of her and she worked just as hard to maintain her independence by refusing to mate with him. It was nice to see the “duh” moment Layla has toward the end of the story when she is forced to face the facts.

What else?: I’m not sure how I feel about the secondary character plot line. The reason behind the issue seemed silly and unbelievable. It pulled me out of the romance as I wondered if I was really supposed to care. Also the villain aspect of the story was slow to evolve which made the story seem uneven. The first half of the book was relationship based. The second half of the book involved other characters and added danger. The danger never felt daunting. I never wondered when the “bad” was going to happen or worried about a formidable villain. I’ve come to expect more threats in my paranormal romance so the lack was glaringly obvious to me.

Did I like it?: Yep. I didn’t love it, nor will I re-read it though. Untamed feels like a stepping stone book to me. Yes, each book in the series is about a different couple and we get a complete romance between Layla and William. However, this book is important to the big story arc which connects all of the books in the Amoveo series. Pivotal Amoveo events occur, but not until the story is almost over. I didn’t get really interested until the action picked up.

Book Three of Sara Humphreys Amoveo Legend Series takes us out of the Bayou and into rural Maryland. Where we find that it's not all small town hicks.. (please people don't think this is a dig on small towns as I am currently looking for the perfect small town to move to) This book shows the sultry side of the south..

William Fluery, the oh so sexy man in control. Everyone knows that when William is around he is in control. An attorney for the Council, a man in a brooks brothers suit (ok doesn't that just scream to you.. rip his clothes off?) William is cold, calculating and the go to man whenever a friend is in need. Seriously, is anyone but me totally in lust?

Layla Nickelsen, lives by the seat of her pants. Raised in foster care until she was 12 Layla has definite trust issues. Her loyalty is to those she considers family, Her foster mother Rosie and her "siblings" Raife and Tati.. When they met at 12 an instant family was made. Three hybrid Amoveos with nothing to teach them who they are except a secret diary left by the twins mother and Rosie's sister. Layla, is determined to run her own life and not be forced by fate to mate with some man. Not to become so absorbed by him that she looses her self but most importantly that no one decides what is going to happen in her life but herself.

This book was a meeting of the proverbial rock and hard place.. William, the rock.. an Amoveo male determined to claim his mate. He has found her she should be thrilled and willing to all but fall into his hands.. and Layla the hard place.. the free spirit who won't let anything define her accept herself. The woman who actually fights fate. It is fun to see William fall.. after all he needs to convince her that they fit.. The sensual pull between these two is amazing. While they can't seem to agree on the color of the sky, their chemistry is off the chart.

While trying to convince his mate that they fit, William discovers a plot that could destroy everything they are building. After reading the first two books I was sure I had all the answers but Ms Humphreys managed to pull of some pretty good surprises.. as well as offering us teases into the lives of the Amoveo.

Layla, had always felt like a failure because Raife and Tati had been able to shift and she hadn't.. it was an interesting concept that in reality they were the "freaks" because until then Hybrids couldn't shift until they met their mates.. I am sure this will be an important detail in later books.. I read this book first as a netgalley read.. and fell so hard for it that I had to rush out and get the rest of the series.. It is compelling, intriguing, entertaining and oh so tantalizing.. It is a definite must read!!

How have I not read this series before?!?!?! It was so amazingly yummy and fun. I was a bit concerned that by reading a book part way into a series that I might not be able to completely "get" the story. That was not the case. From chapter one, I was incompletely hooked on the amazingly developed characters and intriguing story line. I am sure I would have understood some of the subtle nuances better if I read the first books in the series, but I really felt this book was a complete story in and of itself.

I think one of the things that has this book standing out in the crowd are the beautifully developed characters. I really felt like I knew them and even when they did things that made me want to yell at the for being so arggggggg, I completely understood why they were doing it. The strong sense of family the Nickelson's had was simply a joy to read and I hope they are in future Amoveo stories.

The lore of the Amoveo was so fascinating and brought the typical shifter lore to a different level. I am excited to read more about them and plan to read every book in this series. Probably, knowing me, more than once. If you like shifters, fated love, and paranormal adventure, this book may be just what you are looking for.

William Fleury is one uptight shifter. He was not nicknamed the “iceman” for nothing. So how does he end up with a mate who is such a free-spirited, fly-by-the-seat-of-her-pants kind of girl?

Layla Nickelsen knew she was half human/half Amoveo and she feared the day that some neanderthal Amoveo would come to her door, beating his chest and screeching that she was his mate, and thinking he was going to be dragging her off by her hair to do as he says. Oh, hell no!! Especially, not after her mother went insane after mating with her father who abandoned them, and then both of them abandoning her to live in foster home after foster home because she was so different from the other normal kids. When William comes knocking on her door, she knows what he is looking for and she is not interested in his good looks and how sexy he looks out of those expensive suits, no man should look so yummy in a pair of jeans and a t-shirt…no, no, no, not interested, at all!!

The more time William spends with Layla, the more he appreciates her quirky outlook on life and her love for her adoptive family. He will do anything to convince the panicky Layla how perfect they could be together, and when trouble comes to the farm, he will do anything to protect her from those purists among this people who want to destroy the half-breed abominations.

THOUGHTS:

I am loving this series more and more with each new novel. I am impressed and amazed when an author can me love a character that I previously had no interest in.

William has been an important secondary character throughout the previous two novels, but he was so uptight and he disinterest in the first novel, made him appear not as a purist but definitely not thrilled about the idea of finding a mate in a half-breed. I wasn’t 100 percent sure he was trustworthy. I kept waiting for him to turn out to be the bad guy. So after the first two books my interest in a novel about William was meh!

We find out that William met his mate during the second half of Untouched which answers the question of what was up with him and why was he acting so weird. Layla gets him out of the business suits and loosens him up which makes him a more likeable and relatable character. William is also very forthcoming with his feelings toward Layla and very understanding about her reluctance to embrace him as a lifelong, predestined mate. He is very patient and tries to win her affections. It was very enjoyable on his part.

We can understand Layla’s reluctance to go all in with the whole mating thing, between her mother’s issues and her foster brother’s parents’ issues, which is why they are all hiding from the full blooded Amoveo. The only thing that irks me is that she agrees to take time to get to know William before rejecting him, especially since William is not attempting to drag her off by the hair, but she’s only giving if a 50 percent try. If you agree to give the guy a chance and he is really being nice, then really give him a chance. I was bothered by her constantly putting the brakes on her own actions, and it kept derailing the really nice romance going on.

Can’t wait to see who is up next. I am wondering if it is Dante’s sister, who is another full blood Amoveo (a bear) who is not thrilled about the half breeds.

I have to start out by saying this is a new author for me and a first time read. Sara has a promising series here, as this was an excellent read. I will have to got back and start with the first book to read the entire series now.

Layla had been warned about the Amoveo, but now it was too late. Her mate had somehow found her. She did the only thing she could think of, and she ran to the only place she has ever felt safe. So Layla returns home to the farm she grew up on and the family she left behind. What she had not anticipated was William following her.

William is here to claim Layla as his mate but, Layla only knows fear, and she fears him. The Amoveo have a destined mate and Layla turns out to be Williams, although Layla is a hybrid and only part Amoveo she is the one for him and him alone, and he wants to claim what is his.

William sets out to woo Layla, which won't be an easy task. Not only does she not want any part of this mating business, as she does not believe in destiny. The minute they meet you know there are made for one another, the sparks fly between the two, but Layla is looking for more than just a mate but someone to love her and care for her. She will not go willingly to a man she does not love or someone who does not love her in return, destiny be damned.

As with all courtships, they are never easy and William has his work cut out for him. Layla being a hybrid puts her at risk and there are those who are out to harm her as they believe all hybrids should be dead to secure a pure line of Amoveo. Trying to convince Layla to be his mate maybe the death of one of them or both, as there is only one who is your true mate for one's lifetime.

I have to say that William was my favorite character he is a gentle and a loving soul one who truly cares about others but, in the same breath damn lethal and will protect what is his at all costs. And Layla, a talented photographer, one who loves her brother with a whole heart and the women who raised her. She is very protective and very proud to a fault.

This courtship was a whirlwind of danger and death, making an intriguing read. Throughout the story, secrets are uncovered and brought to light. The plot thickens and so does the danger. The story keeps you guessing, every time you think you had a handle on things some other disaster strikes, taking you in an entire other direction. The story will keep you totally engrossed and turning the pages.

Does love conquer all ? We will just have to wait and see...

We all look for happy ever after endings, but with reading this story you're not so sure...

I enjoyed this story about Layla and William and look forward to picking up the previous books in this series to learn more about the Amoveo's and their clan members and be there while they search for their destined mates. I hope to be along for the ride...

A Recommended read to all !. My First book by Sara but, won't be the last job well done !

In recent months, I have taken to calling Ms Humphreys "Sara The Great", and after reading the latest release in her Amoveo Legend series, "Untamed", I know that she is living up to that nickname everyday!
Ms. Humphreys is still fairly new on the author scene but with her sexually charged and incredibly mesmerizing Amoveo clan, you would think she's been an author for ages. Ms. Humphreys can draw a reader in from the very first paragraph & before you know it, you'll be every bit as addicted to the Amoveo series as I am. These books can be read in order or as stand alones.
This book was the one I have been waiting impatiently for, as I was just relishing the thought of a woman putting the gorgeous Mr. High-&-Mighty Gyrfalcon shifter William Fleury, in his place. William finds his mate in her dreams and believes he can just swoop in & take her away and all will be well.. I laughed when he realizes his mate is the beautiful, independent Layla Nickelsen... And in her opinion, she doesn't need a man in her life.. So, we watch the normally snobby & stuck-up William get knocked down a few steps by the lovely half-breed shifter Layla, as he is trying to woo her thru his old-world ways... *grins* News for you, buddy.. She ain't buying it! Layla shows him who is who and slowly starts bringing William down to earth. Ms. Humphreys writes beautiful love scenes and also when reading about the places they travel in the books, you literally can visualize them in your mind. That is a sign of a great author, right there.. Before you know it, you are swept up into the drama as Layla & William end up being stalked by a danger they can't see. One that could mean life or death to them before they even start their new lives together.. Grab this novel & find out if they can escape the danger before it ensnares them & tears them apart...
Non-stop drama, romance, action, danger, adventure and a mesmerizing & completely addicting story-line will make this one of your new favorite books! Pick it up & give it a try. You will not regret your choice. In my opinion, Ms. Humphreys is clearly on the top ten list of my best authors in paranormal, today!

I found out after I read this that it was the third book of a series. I had no clue! I’m a touch sad that I did not know so before hand and did not get to read the others. But I’m not that worried and plan to get the first to books soon. With that being said and you all knowing this is the first time I’ve read from the series. I LOVED IT! I was not lost; I loved the flow of the story, its originality, the excitement, sensuality and the fact that it has quite a few hot paranormal's in it (those Amoveo’s are really something special). Yes, that all did it for me. The writing was nice and smooth and the story line was very entertaining. Sara created a world in this book that any romance or paranormal reader will surely enjoy :)

Layla is a professional photographer that truly enjoys her job. She’s lived a hard life mainly during her younger years and has spent a great deal of her life running away from a mate that she’s not yet met nor did she choose. Life takes a turn for her when she goes back to her home. Whether she likes it or not, she has to deal with what fate has lined up for her.

William is a cold, calculated, controlled alpha male that is confused with the reactions of his new found mate. His kind yearns for their mate to come into their lives and is grateful of the day it happens for them. William sees this and will do whatever it takes to please his mate and make her his, forever.

I found William to do an extreme amount of growth throughout out the book. Opening his heart, eyes and mind to new things and just learning to relax. Layla on the other hand seemed to me to be stuck in her ways and unwilling to learn. Regardless of those aspects I love the way Layla and William balance one another. They go through a great deal throughout the story and are all ways there for support in each and every way that means the most.

Third installment of Sara Humphreys's Amoveo series. Sort of had a hunch that Willie and his lady would be next. The way he kept "disappearing" on business in Untouched clued me in that his "mate" was near.

So happy that my guess/hunch proved right. William aka Willie as a friend likes to call him, we met in previous books; however in Untouched we meet more of his character, got to interact with him.

Layla - we got to meet her character but not enough to know her personality. Not as much as William.

Forty pages in - New colorful characters introduced. Two new hybrids on the scene and a knowledable human. William acts like a teacher to explain the Amoveo way.

Do I scent a female Amoveo with the male hybrid Raife? Really like the idea of that switch for a change. Would the female stalk him than the other way around? Oh the possibilities!

160 pages in - No real villian introduced. In the previous books Sara has given us the villians point of view. Which is quite refreshing, a comfortable break without the Purists and Caedo. It was good to see the heroine and hero simply connect - the natural push and tug - in that start of a relationship all couples go through.

Surprised no one has come up with a name for William yet.

Wow - That is all I can say. My assumptions about Raife was unfounded, and the snotty bitch character Sylvia totally redeemed herself to me. I never saw that coming. But I did figure out who the one responsible to what happened to Rosie. Seemed the obvious choice..

Secrets are revealed in the book, the likes the past heros were not aware of. Quite different from the previous two books. Equates to "Good".

This is a 4.5 star book!

This third (fourth if you include the short story) installment in the Amoveo Legend picks up right whereUntouchedleaves us. William is going after his mate, Layla knows that her mate has found her and is horrified to be tied to someone just because destiny says so. You can truly understand her fears based on the knowledge that she has been given regarding the Amoveo species.
William is patient and understanding. Their chemistry burns off the charts. There were some twists (one predictable and one not so), that kept the story flowing at a perfect pace. I did feel that one of the characters got off WAY to easily, but that's just me. The world building and politics continue in this installment all the up to the dramatic conclusion. The HEA was believable.

I am hoping that Raife gets a short story or that his story continues to build some in Tati's book.

All in all I recommend this series, a nice twist on shape shifters and great romance.

Layla has always known that she was a hybrid. Born of a human mother and an Amoveo father, she has never felt that she belonged to either camp. Raised by a loving foster mother with two other hybrid children, she returns to the homestead when she encounters a stalker in her dreams. The stalker is William, and he is destined to become her mate, or at least that's what the Amoveo world would have her believe.

But Layla isn't sure she wants to agree. When William follows her to the farm, she realises that she has a powerful attraction to him, but can't see herself meekly agreeing with some foreordained mate for life. Still, as the days go by, her attraction to William just increases and he makes it clear that he is totally in love with her. He is there to support her always, and helps her learn more about her Amoveo heritage. She comes from the Cheetah clan while William is from the Falcon clan. He teaches her how to access her Amoveo powers, and she is more torn each day. Will she or won't she take the plunge to merge her life with William's?

Sara Humpreys has an interesting premise in her shapeshifter characters. Untamed is the third book in the Amoveo Legend series and readers interested in paranormal romance will be entranced with the characters and the love story. The love story is very physical at times and the reader will enjoy learning about the Amoveo clans and their conflicts. This book is recommended for readers who enjoy the paranormal genre.

Layla has dreaded the day her Amoveo mate would find her. But as fate would have it, he shows up on a photographic shoot in New Orleans. Before he can claim her, she flees to the one place she's always been safe, her small hometown in rural Maryland and the farm where she spent most of her childhood.

After experiencing her mother's mental instability and being put in foster care, Layla has serious trust issues. When she finally ends up at the farm in Maryland with Rosie and two other children, Raife and Tatiana, she realizes she's come home. Raife and Tati are also hybrid Amoveo children and while Rosie has a firm but loving hand with all three but she doesn't know a lot about the Amoveo race. The only information they have comes from the diary of Rosie's sister, Raife and Tati's mother, which isn't a lot. What it does mention though is the predestined mate legend and that scares Layla silly. She won't be forced to lose her own identity to become a 'mate' for some man she doesn't even know. And with her past history of foster care, she won't let anyone or anything decide what she'll do in her life.

Layla and William’s story was an awesome chapter in the Amoveo story for so many reasons. The overall plot including the vast changes caused during the group’s confrontation with the purists is beginning to take the series into a bit of a different direction I think. The love story between these two flawed and apprehensive lovers was rich and full of human emotion and the scars that the past can cause and overcoming them. And of course meeting new characters that will allow for future books in the series. I can’t wait for more and wish Ms. Humphreys a speedy recovery from writing this last story so we can all enjoy the vivid and imaginative world she’s created in her mind.

As always, Ms. Humphrey's books are well-written, entertaining, and have the best happy endings. In this one, the language also stood out for me. The author's use of words and phrases added a texture to the story that made it even more pleasurable to read.

Her world of shifters who mate with different species is built with care and precision, which makes the quirks even more surprising. Layla and Williams story is full of heart and hot sex. I chose Ms. Humphrey's work forever.

A good read. William is known as a very uptight guy but when he meets Layla he knows instantly that she is Amoveo mate. He has been meeting her in his dreams but she always hides from him. Layla wants true love not just someone who HAS to be her mate. William has to convince Layla that she is the one for him and that it is not just due to the bond that they share.

I really liked this book! The characters were great if somewhat aggravating. The heroine was very stubborn and closed off which is valid considering her background. The hero was starchy but he mellowed quite nicely. The storyline was well thought out and flowed great. This series gets better as you go along. I highly recommend it!

Man Layla was just bitchy but still loved her and William, a perfect gentleman. This story was better by far only because it had so much adventure and and so much information, of course the romance the tragedy and sadness all the ingredients to a great book! You must read this story for yourself to determine your opinion but Sara Humphreys does not disappoint

This is book 3, the story of William and Layla. If you've been reading the series, you know the basics and this book is similar. The backstory of the Purists is advanced and lines have been drawn. There are now Purists and Loyalists. I would expect more to that story in future books. I thoroughly enjoyed it and would recommend it to readers of PNR.

Another fun read in the Amoveo series, as the plot thickens and the Purists come I to the open.
I’ve already grabbed the next book, Undiscovered, which starts an offshoot to the Amoveo series.
I really enjoyed this book

Untamed by Sara Humphreys

One of the clear, and crisp energies that Sara Humphreys brings into my favorite genre paranormal romances is a consistent passionate love, devotion to the importance of family creating a potent bond. This glue is a mainstay I find in her Amoveo series. In Untamed Ms. Humphreys brings strong, independent, stoic, wise, intelligent, individuals who are easy for a reader of this genre to find commonalities.

Amoveo society members have to live undercover to avoid torment from the Purist.
Untamed, in my opinion is the appropriate title for this segment of her Amoveo series because often spirits can not be tamed and must be allowed to live free and unencumbered.

Ms. Humprhreys adopts the strangeness of society and braids these dysfunctional aspects into a paranormal fantasy and it clearly sends a powerful message of reflection to the readers subconsciousness. In my opinion readers are enlightened about love, commitment, devotion and sacrifice for the greater good within Untamed.

The characters in the narrative Untamed are defined with charisma and intelligence and possess plenty of tenderness to share even when it is rejected. The settings were realistic and easy for me to embrace because I reside in Maryland where all three of her stories have a connection. The suspense and danger is not overwhelming but enough to a reader intrigued. I feel energy of sensuality is the main focus and she delivers the intimacies of mates in such a beautiful way.

Throughout Untamed the vibration of the story being open to accept the unexpected.

Layla Nickelsen is the key character, a who is a woman of substance, strong ethics, independence and grace who will not be deterred from her goals. Layla is a talent photographer with her own special spiritual gifts she is often conflicted about them and being accepted for who is she. She is not too thrilled with the legend associated with being a member of Amoveo and a hybrid. I felt this impacted her self-esteem only on an interpersonal level.
Rosie her guardian/mother figure is a wise woman who has the ability to go deep inside the heart and the soul of the people dear to her and she is so unselfish.
Raife and Tatiana are twins and members of Layla's immediate family under the protective wings of Rosie.

William Fleury, an attorney, sharp and handsome in his suits looking professionally delicious and loosen up a bit to make him huggable. He is as determined and cool as a block of ice, level-headed in most aspects of life except when it comes to finding and possessing his pre-destined life mate. He will have a battle on his hands to bring this wish to fruition.

Ms Humphreys bends suspense and sensuality into a delectable spicy mix. I delighted in the manner in which she describes the bonds of her mated characters and how they function as a society. The blend in Untamed with its various shifters characteristics is magical and kept me reading. Ms Humprhreys' depictions of sexy, tender romances created outside of the common realms for building a passionate relationship fascinated me.

Untamed storyline shows and reminds all of us to appreciate how friends will travel great distances to be by your side in those tough times of need. This thread is what I appreciate and delight in as a reader of Ms. Humphreys Amoveo series. I look forward to her next book and curious about which pervious characters will reappear on her stage of tender, abiding love and intimacies only true life-mates can savor for a lifetime.
