Still fascinating, still fun.

Some New Favorite Quotes:
and Potter needed someone to be a hero for.

"Don't be so pessimistic.... That's my role. You just play hopeless optimist the way Gryffindors were born to do."

Severus relaxed. At least they would probably punch each other instead of snog, now.

The necessity to muddle through this wouldn't ease. But for the first time, Draco thought he
could muddle through.

A deliciously long and thoroughly in-depth AU of basically from the Parsletongue incident to the destruction of Voldemort. Because different decisions are made, different people live and die and different alliances are made. Fascinating and thorough and a lot of fun!

Favorite Quotes:
"No, I don't enjoy things like this, but I have to do them because there's no one else to do them!"

"I want exciting things to happen to me," said Draco, "when I'm with you."
Potter's mouth fell slowly open again. "I--I didn't hear that part," he said weakly. "I heard 'adventure.'"
"I know you did." Draco leaned forwards until his nose was a few inches away from Potter's. "Next time, listen better."

He seemed a little less like an insane murderer than Harry had imagined he would.

So Harry was living in another world and Malfoy was the first person he'd ever known who could join him there.

Voldemort was just an obstacle Harry already knew he would have to deal with, like exams and storms and the Durselys.

And at the least, if they killed him, then they would have to kill his broom at the same time.

"But even if you don't really care about the student, Severus, I advise you to
act as if you do. That's what those of us not blessed with real emotions have to do."

"You're the most important person in the war, you said. But lots of us think you're pretty damn important for other reasons."

"Standing next to her does not mean he wants to date her," Severus said in measured tones whilst silently berating fate for making him say things this ridiculous.

"Stupid immortal You-Know-Who, sticking pieces of his soul in things that we have to destroy."
"I quite agree, Mr. Weasley," said Professor Snape in a strained voice. "But for the moment, I am still trying to brew this potion so that we can, as you put it, destroy the
things, so if you would kindly shut up!"

He couldn't let Draco in right now because he needed to think and settle his own reaction before anyone else could force one on him.

And it really didn't matter what kind of person she was. It mattered what kind of person Harry was.

Granger and Draco exchanged a glance of the kind that was becoming familiar to Draco, and which was almost enough to make him call her Hermione. It was their united intelligence against a world of morons.

Probably one of the best Harry Potter fan fics I have read.

It is very long and covers most of the time period from the books. There are similarities between them, the book follows most of the plot points.

What I liked about this I have a very poor opinion of Dumbledore and this plot line makes more sense.

This was such an interesting and in depth au of books 2-7, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I wish Hermione and Ron played a larger part in Harry's life at times, but I liked Snape's changed role, as well as Dumbldore's. It was nice to see him as something other than the good guy.
