Listen up. Take the descriptions to HEART on this one. That cover may look like some light glittery novella but it. is. not. You've been warned.
I can stress right away that this is NMK (not my kink). In fact this hits on most of my dislikes in kink (for myself, I don't judge) but everything that happened in this one was desired by Jess. Although it has a feel of consensual non-consent it's really fully consensual. The journey Jess goes through is harsh, hardcore, and definitely not casually kinky. I'm intrigued by the whole Fantasy Fulfilled (similar to some of the other books I've read lately with "wish" fulfillment fantasies companies). The Dom here is quite magnificent - although he appears a bit schizophrenic and this is because he has been Jess's friend for years and years so the change to this "new" man is different for her and the reader - which, now I think of it, is even more strange since it is not like we know him from before. Hmm. I quite liked him. It was awkward at times though when they went from friend to other (esp. because of the amount of humiliation). I could not do this with a friend. YMMV.
I did have a very difficult time believing this one was realistic as I just couldn't see it but I'm not a world traveler so I can't say too much. I do have a problem with forcing kink activities on unsuspecting folks or folks who do not consent and here that line was very gray and so I didn't dock majorly for it. I get it - exhibitionism - but as part of the kink community this hits some buttons for me with the possibly unwilling. I will admit I was never 100% sure who was on board, who wasn't, who was being paid, and who was just in the right place at the right time.
So if your kinks include humiliation (in name - e.g. slut, and in deed - e.g. public display and shame), exhibitionism, and gang bang type activity you really ought to read this one. It is very well written, (a few typo's/grammar issues but nothing major to pull me out of the story).

Ms. Nixx shows an understanding of the BDSM kinks and presents it in a scrumptious manner.
Ms. Nixx is a new to me author and her BDSM fantasies are right up my alley. Her blend of plausible sexual exhibition intermixed with BDSM play in a club are delightful to read. Experiencing the guilty pleasures as Jess revels in her naughty sexual exposure will arouse many a reader. This book is recommended to kinky exhibitionist who enjoy a bit of sexual humiliation.

Love the cover, could not get down with the story at all though unfortunately. Sure I like some kink and BDSM. But I'm not really one for the heroine or even the hero to not really be sure of what they want to experience via a fantasy one minute. But then once they get with the love interest that takes things to a MAJORLY extreme path, they are suddenly like "oh yes, let me do back flips for ya, cause I just LOVE ALL OF THIS RANDOM, TEAM TOO FAR, ASININE, stuff that you like to do/put me through".
Also me thinks there is a difference between being an exhibitionist and having limits for how that goes down and gets acted out. And pretty much being thrust into all sorts of un-discussed situations where you aren't 100% sure if they are safe or not to experience or be doing in the first place. Just saying.

I accepted an offer from the author for a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. I hadn't read anything else by the author, but had heard she writes a good story. When I read the first sentence, I thought, "I'm going to hate this book." So I put it down for a while. I picked it back up today and powered through. I'm glad I did.
I don't like to read humiliation, it isn't my kink. When reading a humiliation scene, I tend to feel all of the humiliation and none of the arousal. That was less true in this story. The author focused less on the feelings of humiliation, and more on Jess' thoughts, her physical sensations, and her focus on Jake. It made it easier for me to empathize with Jess' desire for humiliation. I was able to sink into the smexiness of the story more than I expected. There was still one scene that hit a hard limit for me I liked the back story between Jess and Jake. If Rachel Nixx wanted to turn this into a longer book, I think there is some material there. I'd read it.
From the way the story opened, I was expecting borderline porn. But Jess and Jake were gradually revealed to be 3 dimensional characters. I'd like to read more about them.

Jake the Dom, Jess the ... *smiles* Well you ever have a fantasy that you would love to play out? Jake makes that happen for women with the company he runs. The ending was perfect for a couple that really care for one another to make this a good romance too in a wicked hard sort of way, which was sizzling hot!

Very different from anything I normally read. Jess goes on a trip with her friend, Jake and this isn't just any old trip. This is a trip that is run by the company Jake owns, Fantasy Fulfilled. The scenes and things that are run in the story are nothing short of shocking. Being naked in public, having sex in public, being objectified. Yeah, all things that most people would never do in a lifetime. I certainly wouldn't do them. However, reading about it happening to someone else...hot. I only rated it four stars because it seems a bit drawn out. I thought it was a novel, but it's only like 69 pages. It just went on and on and on. Better if it was like half the length that it is. Not a bad read, though. I would recommend it to people I know who like BDSM.

This was a very interesting read that brought a whole new light to the world of BDSM. I've read a few books that it was the main focus, but none quite as hard. At times there were stuff she was told to do, and all I could say was, "He couldn't possibly make her do that...could he?"
It was written well, and did establish characters in an intriguing way, that I did go out and look for the next book by her. It's just not something I see spending more money on at this time. Maybe if the next book goes on sale, I might consider getting it.

Today I discovered another type of kink that has no appeal for me - sexual humiliation. I spent most of this book reminding myself it was fiction and pure fantasy.
My preferences aside, the author wrote a good story that kept me turning the pages, albeit in morbid fascination. The author has a good writing style, the settings were inventive and I could picture each scene vividly.
This book is recommended for those who don't mind exhibitionism and humiliation with their kinky fiction.

Fantasies Fulfilled what a wonderful idea! This book made me want to book my own Fantasy (although not to the levels Jessica went to - I couldn't do that - major hard limits there). A safe place to fill your fantasy and learn to trust. I couldn't put this book down even to eat! LOL I am so glad it is a series I can't wait to get to know the other characters.

So this story is about Jake & Jess. Jess has always been in control & thought that's what she wanted. When she lost a bet to Jake she agrees to go away with him on one of his fantasy trips. He shows her that she really doesn't want to always be in control. In some really out there ways he shows her that she loves to give up that control as long as its to some one she can trust...and love;-)

Heavy on public play and humiliation and while Jake does let others use Jess he is always there and in control. It does have a HFN ending and the two main characters end up together.
