Scandalized professor Maggie Cisco returns to her hometown to lick her wounds and reconsider her future. Her years of personal and professional research into the BDSM lifestyle has landed her in jail, in divorce court and now in the headlines of more newspapers than she cares to count. The worst of all? The entire debacle is being blamed on a bestselling book she hasn't even read!

Just when she thinks her only solution is a tell all memoir, a snowstorm puts her in the path of stunningly handsome, insanely rich and equally intense, Tucker Lewis.

Tucker remembers Maggie well. They once shared a mind-numbing kiss at the annual St. Mary's carnival when her boyfriend wasn't looking. No stranger to scandal, he looks past public opinion to the submissive craving a master's touch and decides then and there what he wants. He's going after Maggie and her heart's kinkiest desires.

Unfortunately, no amount of money can change the sins of the past and when they're certain they know everything there is to know about each other, one discovers a secret they aren't prepared for.

This is actually a 3.5 star read for me, it wasn't quite a three and not quite a 4....I will explain why.

This is the first book of the Purgatory Masters series, however, I believe that maybe this is a follow on from the Purgatory series. Some characters were in this book already seemed to have a back story that was only gone into briefly. It all seemed kind of glossed over and I felt like I may be missing some information. This is not the authors fault, it was mine, but still my confusion was there.

My problem was not with the writing or the story, because I liked both. I even really liked Tucker, my problem was Maggie. I felt for someone who had spent 10 years researching the lifestyle she seemed especially clueless as to how she should behave or what she actually wanted. This frustrated me.

However I think this could have been on purpose. The author seemed to want to get us, the readers, to understand the fiction of a bdsm lifestyle and the actual way you may feel if you actually found yourself facing these things.

I may have sat there and cringed at Maggie running away and her anxiety over certain situations, but I imagine it would be a daunting situation and not at all what it is made out to be in the books that are so popular of late, where people are all of a sudden naturally submissive. This is the conclusion I came to when references to "that book" kept on coming up in the story.

Even though I believe this was on purpose, the constant back and forward and personality changes from the character frustrated me a bit.

There was a mystery that ran throughout this book. It seems it will follow on into the next one of the series and I admit that this has pricked my curiosity. I am intrigued my the other characters Nina, Mason and Levi, and I want to know what is going on.

All in all I thought this was a good solid erotic read. It was short, but with enough info to not feel rushed. The relationship between the couple was a second chance romance, and that is one of my favourite romance themes. I really loved how it was the man who had carried the torch for leading lady and initiated the pursuit rather than the other way around.

I will look out for the others in the series when they are released.

This was my first Eliza Gayle book and it will not be my last. Holy hell this woman can write a hot scene. Tucker and Maggie were friends in High School. Maggie dated one of Tucker's friends. They shared one amazing kiss that neither of them have been able to forget.

Over a decade later they find one another on a stormy winter night. Tucker has demons from his past that he can't seem to escape. Maggie is recovering from a recent scandal that ended her 'not so perfect' marriage. They discover that they may have had all they wanted in a partner right in front of them on that fateful night back in High School and just never knew it.

Tucker is the kind of man who will stop at nothing to earn, yes earn, trust and love from Maggie. He knows what he wants and he is determined to have her. He knows they could be perfect together if she could just open up and trust him. She calls the the Dom in Tucker.

Maggie has spent her adult career studying the BDSM lifestyle. Maggie has denied her submissive tendencies her whole life. Tucker rescues her after she has slid of the road on a stormy night. He shows her what she can no longer deny, she is submissive and he can take her places she has never been before.

This book is HOT ! I love the chemistry between Tucker and Maggie. I love how he is sweet and kind to her and looks out for her while at the same time pushing her to open up and trust. Maggie is still reeling from her own past but she finds herself drawn to Tucker. I love the very real moments in this book and the honest and raw emotion. They try and sometimes fail to find happiness.

5 Blazing Hot Stars!
Can't wait to read the next installment!

Ok, I'm going to have to chalk this one up to sleep deprivation, because I felt lost a lot of the book, and no one else seem to feel the same way. I kept feeling like I was missing big chunks of what was going on.

I thought it was an interesting storyline, but I never felt like it totally clicked for me. I know that part of the explanations were purposefully left out because its going to be part of the story arc for all three/four books. I don't know if I just wasn't reading closely enough (back to the whole sleep deprivation issue) or if it just wasn't addressed, but I swear I had no idea that Tucker was super rich until it was mentioned about half way through the book (and I swear Maggie didn't know either, though she seemed unsurprised at the same time). I also never really understood why he gave up being a Dom for so long - or what made him decided all the sudden it was ok again.

I was also a little confused about Maggie. I get that she never explored BDSM in real life, but it sometimes felt like she should know more than she did since researching it was her life's work. It was interesting to see a D/s relationship where the Dom didn't seem to be psychic about his subs needs and how far he can push (although I'll never understand why he thought going to the club with her was a good idea given her past, and how she freaked after their first scene). At the same time, while this is probably way more realistic, I'll admit that I kind if enjoy the fantasy better.

Overall, I had a difficult time connecting to Maggie and Tucker. I didn't feel invested in them as a couple. I did, however, get very interested in Marcus. I'm anxious to find out what his deal is.

I absolutely loved this new addition to the Purgatory series! Tucker is plagued by the past and living a hallow life as a result. Maggie is running away from her past mistakes to lick her wounds by isolating herself back in her home town. It isn't until a snow storm brings in a blast from her past that she never quite got over, to make her face a few of her demons and get what she has always secretly desired. The scenes between these two are off the charts steamy and you really feel the chemistry between them. I can't wait for where Eliza is going to take this story next!

In high school, Maggie Cisco and Tucker Lewis shared a forbidden kiss. It wasn’t just a simple kiss, but one that neither of them would ever forget.

Now 15years later after being in jail for being in a BDSM club, a scandalous divorce, Maggie is returning to her home town to hide out and write a tell all book.

Tucker knows the minute she has returned. He decides he is the one to give Maggie what she needs, a Dom to her Submissive.

This is the first book I have read from Eliza, and I was blown away! I fell instantly in love with Tucker! It left me hanging, but that just made me more excited to wait for the next Master's book!

The book is passionate, intense, mysterious and still has some humor and a heroine I just love.

I LOVED Tucker!!!!!!

I found their relationship to be believable and very very steamy!!

Now the BDSM in this story was on the LIGHT side for me but still a good read.

But given that I have said that it was on the lighter side for me I have read my share of BDSM books. This book gives the reader a glimpse into the BDSM lifestyle. Great book for a beginner into the BDSM genre. It shows that it is not all about whips, and restraints, but about trust and total responsibility for another person. There is an underlying story that is barely explored-leaving room for the next installments in the series. I look forward to the next novel in the Purgatory Masters saga.

I am a HUGE fan of the BDSM erotica genre but it seems that after the success of Fifty Shades of Grey *gags* everyone thinks they can write BDSM successfully. While I think Eliza Gayle is a talented voice in the genre, Tucker's Fall, the first book in the Purgatory Masters series fell flat for me in a couple of different ways.

(1) Maggie is supposed to be a former professor who spent her life studying BDSM and teaching human sexuality yet she is so completely out of her element in Tucker's Fall. She is naive beyond belief when Tucker gives her what he thinks she needs and I found that more irritating with each page I read. I understand that reading and doing are two totally different things and that there will be fear involved but...

(2) In what way does fear in a one-on-one scenario make a "Dom" think it's smart to take his confused/naive/frightened sub to a club and put her on display? Seriously? She not only freaked the frak out, she bolted out of his house sans clothes. That just screams "hey take me to a club so I'll be more at ease!". NOT!

I'm not gonna say that Tucker's Fall was horrible because it wasn't. I just really wasn't feeling it and was left disappointed. Though totally cliche as a loner billionaire, Tucker was sexy. The sex scenes were also pretty steamy. So obviously there were good things that showed Tucker's Fall had serious potential. What killed it for me? Maggie. Didn't like her. At. All. When you have a serious hate on for the leading lady it's really hard to want to continue reading about her love affair.

While I think Eliza Gayle has potential and think others will be more accepting of Maggie, I think I'll stick with what I know and read books by Tiffany Reisz and Cherise Sinclair. They do deep, dark emotional reads exceptionally well.

I actually started this book because I really was intrigued by the summary of the second book. At first, I was like, "Damn, why haven't I read this sooner??". After a while it just got kind of stale for me.

Maggie was a know-it-all. A regular Lisa Simpson of BDSM.

But she never did it before...

Tucker is a real-life Dom with dark secrets to match his dark desires.

She claims to be hiding out from the media but she decides to write a tell all book about EVERY detail of her sex life AND Tucker!!WTF?!?!!?

She doesn't tell Tucker...

Inevitably, he finds it. Of course he's pissed! But what killed me is that she was mad!

Seriously?

Sorry, peaches. I didn't like you from the beginning. I thought you were upity and arrogent. I guess we can add selfish and stupid to the list, too.

That being said, I LOVE TUCKER! I can't wait to find out more about the back story!

Maybe I will get lucky and Maggie will fall off a cliff somewhere.... What?? Come on, you were thinking it, too!

Maggie Cisco and Tucker Lewis went to high school together and they shared one sole kiss that they never forgot.
Then, Maggie was on her way to being an expert in BDSM lifestyle, a professor and a respectable marriage. But above all that road led her to unhappiness and heartache.
Now, back in her hometown, the only thing she wishes is to forget the past and start a new life and be left alone. Easier said than done.

Tucker Lewis never forgot Maggie and now that she is in her most fragile state he decides that he's going in for the kill. He knows that she craves dominance and that she has submissive desires.
Being one of the owner's of Purgatory, he is the right man to show her that belonging to someone is a beautiful and passionate life.

How I loved this book, so brave and tortured Tucker, going after the one that got away.
With all the baggage on his family, the secrets that have to be protected at all costs, and the beginning of falling in love with someone as different as he is, he is full of things going on in his life.
I also appreciate the fact that he is an artist, someone that fills up his life with creativity, something rare and beautiful to see.
I couldn't pass out the sexy as hell Dom that he is and the hot ideas that he comes up for Maggie.

Maggie is the wounded little bird that comes crawling back in search of peace and determined to find out what her desires are in fact. Writing about a theme is one thing, experience it, living it, is another.
She get's the chance with Tucker and goes for it, with some bumps along the way but she get's there in the end.

This author was a first for me, a pleasurable one I might add and I can't wait for the next book.
She writes beautifully, in the relationship department and also building up a backside story to follow through, with suspense and interest.
I really loved the relationship between the two main characters, the physical, (hot), and the hearty one, trust comes with time and sometimes space has to be given so your head can clear up.

If you haven't read this book don't pass on it, read it, you'll love it.

There’s just something sexy about a big, tough Dom who also happens to frequent a kink club. In this case, Tucker Lewis is part owner of Purgatory. A well kept secret in a small town where he grew up. But he’s stayed away from the club and the lifestyle for a while only to have his childhood crush drag him out to play.

Maggie had left her hometown, married, and was for all practical purposes…unhappy. Now with her divorce behind her, she’s back home and confronting a few things in her life. Writing a book about what she’s been through with the media and her very public divorce, and dealing with her sexual wants to be a submissive. Who would’ve thought that Tucker, the boy that kissed her one time and left an impression, would be the hot Dom to explore those feelings with.

I really liked the premise of high school friends and crush turned to lovers. Tucker was very forward in his affections with Maggie and didn’t let her hide at all. But as much as he kept saying he was going to take things slow, he marched on full force. A bit too much too fast, maybe?

If I had to pick, I’d say Tucker was my favorite character because he was all kinds of ruggedly sexy. Maggie on the other hand got on my nerves at times. Just a bit. Tucker managed to be sexy and firm, all while still respecting her.

I think the conflict could’ve been handled a little better as it felt a bit thrown in there because there had to be some. In the end though, TUCKER’S FALL was sexy and has definitely left me wanting to read more of Purgatory Masters….and actually go back and finish reading the Purgatory series, which I forgot about!

Professor Maggie Cisco was forced out of academia after being caught at a BDSM club (despite the fact that human sexuality and BDSM are the subjects of her research). She returns to her hometown and gets reacquainted with old flame Tucker Lewis, who as luck would have it, is now an experienced BDSM master. However, their relationship derails when he realizes that she's been writing a book about her BDSM experiences to get back her academic reputation.

I think this book would have been better if it were longer. The circumstances of Maggie's academic disgrace are glossed over in the beginning. Once she gets to town, she's got an authentic chemistry with Tucker, and their developing relationship is great. However, they are derailed by the MISUNDERSTANDING, a common but kind of annoying trope of romance novels, where one partner completely overreacts to something and won't let the other explain.

Rating 2 stars - Ok

I loved Eliza Gayle, Midnight Playground (Pleasure Playground #1) and was excited she was coming out with a new series Purgatory Masters, Tucker’s Fall being the first in this series. I was a bit disappointed as it is a 2 star - Ok novel for me. I am a huge fan of BDSM novels but was not feeling Tucker‘s Fall. I could not connect with the characters as they were a bit flat. The BDSM scenes did nothing for me as Tucker commanding Maggie what to do. I wanted better dirty talking and more soft caresses to get my heart pounding. For a Dom he sure does not know when Maggie was ready for a scene in the club that made her take off crying. Even admitting he made a mistake and should of not assumed she was ready. Could of done with out her falling to the floor in the car during a sex scene. I felt this scene was pushed for them to have some kind of good laugh and for her to mention maybe it was a sign they were not meant to be together.

As for the plot I felt like I was reading two stories. One about Maggie coming home to mend her wounds and then later on in the novel, the other which I found more interesting was about something to do with Tucker, Levi, Mason and Tucker’s Father and might be connected to the club. Really have no clue what is going with that since I am left hanging. I would of liked less inner thoughts with Maggie and Tucker of what they thought of each other, sex scenes cut back a little and maybe more info on what happened with Tucker, Levi and Mason.

I really thought this novel would be about sexy Doms from the Club and each novel would be about a different character. I am assuming from the ending of this novel it is about a bad incident the owners and good friends Tucker, Mason and Levi did.

Even though I only thought Tucker’s Fall was an OK novel I will still read book 2. I am curious to know what they did that was so bad. I loved Eliza Gayle writing voice in Midnight Playground (Pleasure Playground #1) and hope I get to see it in Purgatory Masters #2. If Tucker’s Fall had more info on the incident with Levi, Mason and Tucker I would of rated it 3 stars - Liked it.

I think this quote from the book is about to go into my favorite quote pile.

"'I'm beginning to worry you might be more evil than I originally believed.'
He grinned down at her. 'It's the pretty face. Fools them every time.'"

Those pretty faces are trouble aren't they? But sometimes trouble can be so much fun!

I have not yet read all the other Purgatory books. I think there were some other back story elements that I might have had a better grasp of if I had. That being said, I was still able to follow the story well, and not knowing some of the back story put me in a similar spot as the heroine, and made her rediscovery of an old flame just as real for me.

I will say this book hit some serious hot points of mine. The restaurant...WHERE CAN I GO TO FIND THIS RESTAURANT! I have a thing about exhibitionism in a restaurant. Such a fun scene to watch unfold.

This was not a light read all the time. Eliza Gayle takes us deep into the character's heads, and it's not always a great place to be. Real life sucks and these characters felt real enough to make my heart ache at times.

I am always impressed with Eliza's written voice. This was no different. There were quite a few passages I highlighted, just because the prose was so good.

What kept this from being a five star read for me was I thought our heroine forgave our hero a bit too easily. She worked out a lot of her emotions in her head before ever going to him, but part of me wanted her to give him a better verbal lashing.

Also, it felt like our heroine abandoned her urge to write. I wanted to see where that urge to write was going. Her writing felt like it was an outlet for her, and maybe I missed where that went, but I didn't see the transition move the way I thought it was going to.

We are left with a HFN. M/f in a BDSM setting. Nothing like discovering you have submissive tendencies and coming to find the guy you never forgot turned into a DOM!

You've sucked me in Eliza! Can't wait to see which Master is next. 4 stars.

Tucker Lewis is at a comfortable stage of his life. Established career, secure financially, and prominent in his home town, but he doesn't have the one thing that would complete him: a sub. Sure he's been offered many and has his pick but the one who he really wants left town years ago and hasn't returned.
Enter Professor Maggie Cisco. With her marriage in the past and disgraced in her profession she returns to her hometown to consider her options and decide on her future. Along with finishing the tell all memoir on BDSM. When Tucker comes to her rescue during a snowstorm all the old feelings she had for him re-surface. She's about to get some hands on information about BDSM at the hands of Master Tucker. But will she use that information in her tell all book and destroy any possibility of a long term relationship with the one man she could see herself submitting to.

Wowzer. This is a juicy erotic kind of read that's heavy on the BDSM play in the sugarkink variety. Lots of yummy goodness going on here let me tell you. From the awesome cover to the intensity between the two central characters this book rocked. Tucker himself won me over with his persona of mystery, sexiness, and downright sensual attention to Maggie's needs. I loved the inside look into her character though as without it I don't know that I would have had the same opinion of him.

The only problem for me though was a weak and often predictable storyline. After finishing this book I have many 'what?' feelings that never got answered. One non spoiler: there is a scene where Maggie safewords. I don't understand the circumstances or reason. I felt this was important to understand. Other areas of confusion for me do pose spoiler potentials so I can't really go into them except to comment: jobs come and go but finding a Dom you can trust is priceless.

This is a potentially good series. I do see various hints in this book for future installments that were vague enough to have me interested to see where things go for the secondary characters in this book. Time will tell

I received this book as a gift from the amazing author and let me just say that this is the first book that I've read by the author and it certainly won't ever be the last! This isn't fifty shades... this is SO much better. The author uses so much detail in her story that you can actually feel like you're the characters. The character development is incredible and I'm so thrilled with this story. It's a BDSM story... and quite steamy.

Readers need to be prepared to have a lot of pulse pounding moments as you read this book. I actually ended up rereading this as soon as I finished this because I enjoyed it so much. I am looking forward to reading more from this author as this is the first book of hers I have read.

Every since sex scene with Tucker and Maggie are so intense, so vivid in detail, so wonderfully written... it feels so real. It's more than "seeing it like a movie" it's actually feeling the emotions and desires of the characters as your reading them... I cried when Maggie cried, I shivered when she shivered, I smiled when she smiled... and it came natural, it wasn't forced. I felt their emotions so much it was amazing. That's never happened to me in a book before.

The plot was woven together beautifully, tying various aspects together in unexpected ways. The dialogue were beautiful - no one quite captures the emotions in an intense BDSM scene the way Eliza Gayle can. Character development was exceptionally well done.

This is very much a romantic love story with a ton of little twists and turns designed to keep you on the edge of your seat, wanting more! Just like a good submissive ;) I can't wait to read more of Tucker and Maggie's story! I know I'll be reading it over and over again!

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Maggie a professor who is researching a world that's she has no personal experience of is reunited with a crush from her past. After returning to her home town following the break down of her marriage, and being publicly shamed following her arrest at a bdsm club the last person Maggie thought she would bump into was Tucker.

Tucker is a man with a dark past who has never been able to rid himself of the memory of the kiss he shared with Maggie. He knows she is back in town and he means to make her mine.

Reunited in unusual circumstances Tucker makes his intentions clear. Maggie feels the old feelings she had for Tucker resurface and believes she may finally get to experience the D/s relationship firsthand with a man who makes her melt.

As with all relationships the book lets us experience the ups and downs that Tucker and Maggie face through their relationship. There are also hints at darker agendas as someone may be out to get Tucker and his business partners one of whom is missing.

The book ended leaving me wanting to find out about the missing business partner, the secrets that both Maggie and Tucker have still to reveal and how this will impact on their relationship. It's a good thing this is one of 3 books as I will definitely be reading no 2.

This was a well written book which kept me hooked on the story line and looking for more!

Thanks for the opportunity to read.

Maggie is married to a Professor who divorces her after a scandal where Maggie is arrested in a BDSM club whilst she is researching lifestyles. Maggie flees to her home town and meets up with Tucker. Tucker introduces her to real BDSM but they both have issues and have to work through them. I enjoyed the book but was disappointed with the ending; was hoping to have a conclusion to the story but just ended.................... and the second book is the story about Levi so I'm left wondering and frustrated.

A couple years later, I'm still reading and reviewing books I received and purchased during Shameless Con in 2018. That was truly an amazing book convention. One word for the convention - overwhelming. Fortunately, I was able to connect with Ms. Gayle and find my enjoyment in her books again. Starting off this new series to me, is a delight.

AWESOMENESS GALORE!

There is so much awesomeness in this story! Private club, intrigue, broken souls healing each other (slowly), mouthwatering chemistry, and so many emotions. Tucker and Maggie are a fantastic couple that hit plenty of bumps (and there are hints that there is more to come in Levi's story) but when they make up? It's explosive!

Tucker Fall’s is the first book in a trilogy about the owners of Purgatory, a BDSM club. Very few people know these men own the club and they like to keep it that way. There is a mystery in all their pasts that I think will slowly reveal itself over time as you get hints of it in this first book.

Maggie Cisco returns to her hometown after being detained during a BDSM club raid. Now jobless and recently divorced over the incident, she just wants to lick her wounds in private. Years of research is down the drain, but she hopes to redeem herself with a memoir on her research of the alternative lifestyle of BDSM. Knowing she is submissive, she pushes all her desires deep down inside and tries to pick up the pieces of her life.

When Maggie gets stuck in a snowstorm, she takes a ride from a man from her past the opens her eyes wide. One shared kiss when they were teenagers has stuck in her mind over the years, but fear of being hurt again makes her want to curl into herself.

Tucker has craved Maggie’s submission since high school, but life didn’t go the way he wants. Now he is a billionaire living in seclusion in their hometown, he’s hiding from the world and the Dom inside. Tucker knows the moment Maggie comes back home and does all his homework to find out where she has been. Now he wants to bring out her submissive side he is longing to cultivate. When he rescues Maggie from the snow storm, he makes her a proposition. Become his submissive and he will teach her everything she has longed to do in her research, but never had a partner to do it with.

The first scene the two do is very intense for both me and the heroine in the story. Tucker uses orgasm denial to bring her to a fever pitch that left me even panting. But all the emotions she feels scare her into bolting. Add on top of that some embarrassment for coming apart as hard as she did causes her to have what is basically subdrop. The emotions are intense and left me wondering just how you get over it. Of course that is part of aftercare, being held and brought back to reality slowly.

Tucker is also an artist and he paints a picture of Maggie at one point that is so vivid in my imagination. His true passion is glass work, which at the time of the year was too cold for him to do. His sister runs the local diner in town and we see her a lot when Maggie goes there to regroup several times. Their past with their father seems to have been harsh and shaped a lot of who they are now, which is very hardened and tough.
Maggie and Tucker have a lot of emotional baggage to get over in the course of their story. Some of it not so bad to overcome and other parts that could almost be devastating. Secrets are slowly revealed while others are hinted at and make you want to shake Ms. Gayle to find it all out!

While I loved the characters, there were parts that I wanted to shake these characters to make them realize what they were doing. You get a hint that Tucker wants a 24/7 BDSM relationship, but you never get far enough to see how they will work out their future. I guess we can only hope to see some more of them in the next two books in the trilogy.

A great weaving of delightfully wicked BDSM scenes, with a story that gets out of the bedroom too. Side characters who you want to learn more about, along with a mystery that will have me grabbing the next book in the series.

Thank you to NetGalley for allowing me to read this book.

Maggie is hiding out in her parent's cabin, trying to get away from the chaos surrounding her recent exploits at a BDSM club. When her path crosses the one boy from high school that she could never let go of, not only does Tucker break down her walls but also makes her realize her true submissive ways. But when this Dom starts to connect with his sub with more love than lust will Tucker be able to open his heart and let her in? or will the memoir he finds her writing end the relationship before it can begin? With characters that wore their emotions on their sleeves and a heart warming storyline that gives the insight of the BDSM lifestyle to the reader this was a fabulous book. I cannot wait to read more in this series.

I just couldn't get into this book. I didn't like the heroine Maggie and I thought Tucker was a bit of a pussy for being a Dom. The book was a quick read but, it felt like it was rushed. It was almost like the author was bored and just wanted to get it over with. IMO Tucker was a douche. He went through Maggie's laptop and saw that she was writing a memoir and "assumed" it was going to be a tell all about their sex lives. Maybe if he didn't jump to conclusions, storm out on her after belittling her, and let her explain he would've known the truth. He kept telling her to be honest with him and she was yet he can't be honest with her about his life and his past. That what we call being a hypocrite. Maggie wasn't really a submissive either. She didn't want to be spanked or hit? She didn't say that was a hard limit and the author never explained why. Being spanked is a big part of BDSM play. Also, why did Maggie safe word while in the club when she was only an onlooker for someone else's scene? Was it a trigger? Again, that was never explained why. I also don't get why Maggie would get arrested for being in a BDSM club and fired from her job when that was her job. She was researching BDSM for the University that she was a professor at. So why would it be strange that she was in a club that catered to that lifestyle? Why would her ex husband divorce her over it when he was gay & told her he married her for convince?

There were was this whole storyline that the author seemed to want to tell but, never really told. There was just a ton of sex between Maggie & Tucker and snippets of a somewhat plot when they weren't having sex. There was so much that was left hanging in this book and there were so many times I wish certain parts of the storyline went into more detail or explained some unanswered questions.

I really wanted to love this book. When I read what the book was about it sounded interesting and exciting. It just fell flat for me. Which is to bad because there's a lot of potential for a great storyline.

Part of a book-bundle, by the title alone I knew what I was going to find in those pages and even if there were a couple of surprises I don't think they were enough to make this a memorable read.

The main problem with this book for me was the plot, as there wasn't one!! We are given the background information but they are too superficial to justify the story the characters get into.

Maggie has been studying the power exchange in a BDSM relationship for years but the moment she is found/arrested in a BDSM club she loses not only her marriage but also her reputation as a scholar. And I ask: why? Surely, a professor that is working on her PhD dissertation on power exchange in a D/s relationship would be expected to do some field work, right? And not only does this not make sense, the fact that she has spent years of her life studying alternative lifestyles (this is one of the many inconsistencies in the book: does she study power exchange or alternative lifestyles?) but that she feels ashamed to be interested in pursuing one is baffling!!!!

So, she retreats into her childhood small town only to be reunited with her old acquainted Tucker, who just happens to a Dominant looking for a sub. And there you go, this is the plot. Or lack thereof. Because from the moment they see each other again is sex scene after sex scene, after sex scene. And despite them being well written, it was difficult for me to believe she would allow so many thing to be done to her, with her by someone she didn't have a past with and that she had just reconnected with.

And then, there is still the problem with Tucker's character. After so many sex scenes we hear he is a sex addict, involved in something so bad that he is tormented by it and fears Maggie would leave him if he told her but are not told what/how or why. It's just too much information kept from the reader and it makes connecting with the story even harder. I guess the writer wanted to save something for a sequel... which I will not be reading!

Tucker Lewis is a reclusive billionaire artist who has been away from the BDSM scene for a while and Maggie Cisco is just the sub he wants to jump back in with. With things going so wrong in Maggie’s life and her losing her professor position over a scandalous trip to a BDSM club, she’s ready for some good in her life. I loved the way that Tucker only has eyes for Maggie and the way he called her Miss Maggie made me sigh happily.

He had just the touch of tortured soul while still being a capable Dom that had me wishing I was Maggie. There were just enough misunderstandings in this story between them that I found their whole relationship very believable. Tucker’s and Maggie’s past made trust hard for them, yet a brief shared moment in their past left them with an irresistible urge for each other that was resolved in some very hot and explosive love scenes.

The sex was as volcanic and detailed and fantasy worthy that I’ve come to expect from Ms. Gayle. She paints a picture that has you experiencing right along with Tucker and Maggie and wishing you had a Tucker of your very own. She sets up the next books in this series beautifully and I’ll be waiting anxiously for the rest of the Purgatory Masters.

Tucker’s Fall is the exciting and outright sexy start to a new series from Eliza Gayle. I’ve read the other series that this series is connected to and enjoyed them immensely so I immediately jumped at the chance to visit this world again.

If you love smoking a hot Dom with a soft artistic side and a sub with spirit and a sweet submissive side, you need to pick up this book. Before you know it you’ll be waiting for the next one too.

I loved, loved this book , let's face it I love Eliza Gayle's writing. A reclusive artist fond of all BDSM activities. A college professor belittled by her peers because of her interest and writings on human sexual interactions, who was busted during a raid on a BDSM club. Just that would be quite a match, but no Ms. Gayle provides a twist when lo and hold the busted professor was no their than the reclusive's first crush, an attraction he plans on rekindling by appealing to her interest in human' interactions via BDSM to do this he must join the world he has been avoiding, where secrets might jeopardize the bumbling hot and steaming relationship they have begun. Needless to say the storyline keeps you hot and bothered and anxious to find out this secret that appears to have ruined more lives than just artist life.a fried and I have our own classification: MPD= Mommy Porn that leaves you Dewey or MPW= Mommy Porn that leaves you wet. Sorry for being so crass, but it is what it is. That's how we text each other when we rate a book between ourselves.

This is a MPW

I have to say I was bit disappointed in this book for two reasons:

1. The author has been around long enough that some of the typos/grammatical errors just should not be happening.

and

2. The character development was very rushed. Usually i can get past this but weaved throughout the story are little tidbits of information that IMHO would have enriched the storyline had they been expounded on OR they should have been just cut out. It was just confusing to read. I'll admit that this somewhat bother me throughout the whole story i.e., what is up with Maggie's husband and their relationship?

I've read six other books by Ms. Gayle and have two of those books on my "favorite" shelf on my nook. Unfortunately this one did not make it and is going on the "not so much" shelf.

This book was always around and being recommended to me, but I never got to it until it was part of the bad boys collection - and thanks to everyone who recommended, I really liked it and am moving on to the next one in the series
I had read the Purgatory series, so it was nice to see our Roped characters still around. The nice thing about the book was that, yes, there are things that are not apparent all at once, but it feels like you are unwrapping and when you discover one thing, another layer exists, I really liked that. As impatient as I am, usually that doesn't happen, but it was done very well here, so I wasn't scrambling forward and missing what I was reading

I am the biggest cry baby! There's nothing like a beautiful second chance story woven in such a way to yank tears out of your eyes, pour them down your face, and cause you to choke out loud on sobs. That's what this story did for me.

I truly enjoy it when BDSM is presented realistically. Doms and subs bring more out of me than vanilla relationships. So beautiful! I look forward to reading more about the story that was set up in the epilogue (don't worry...I wouldn't call it a cliffhanger, but just a little tease for what's coming next). I've got the next book lined up and ready to go!

I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.
