Almost so bad that it was good, but not quite. Sample sentence: "Mr. Peterson had put on some high-fi music that added to the enjoyment of the dinner."

I used to devour these when I was eight, so I had to pick this one up when I saw it at a library sale. It wasn't great, but it was actually a lot better than I expected. The character's voices were on-target, and the mystery was interesting, though painfully obvious from the start. The characters should have figured it out long before they did. Of course, it was dated -- a reference to listening to music on the hi-fi was especially amusing.

This one was just as bad as the High Seas “Adventure.”

I repeat, I truly believe the author has never seen an episode of The Brady Bunch.

Generic, lackluster. Wrapped up way too easily.

Better than I expected it to be, once it got rolling :)
