Absence makes the heart grow fonder...or forgetful.

It's funny what Geometry class and a shared backyard wall can bring about. The best of friends until one kiss ignites chemistry and passion Beth and Jacob can't ignore; the tender long-distance relationship falls apart when she believes he betrayed her on the same day she learns her mother’s cancer has returned. Sometimes love doesn’t have a happy ending, at least not the first time.

"My Once and Future Love", book #1. This three-book series explores Beth and Jacob's relationship with all its joys, flaws, and heartache.

fell in love with their friendship. beth was absolutely queen of the friend zone for the first few chapters. jacob meant well in the early days. I wanted to slap beth upside the head for not even giving Jacob the benefit of a doubt and breaking his heart. glad I picked this one up

Okay, so, I guess I should have remembered this being a young adult book, because the drama really got to me. I was a little aggrevated here and there with it all. But I am happy to say that overall, I really did enjoy the evolution that occured with Jake and Beth!
