Guardian Domination

Rate this book
After yet another run-in with the law, Celeste Bronston is given one last chance to avoid incarceration. Her godfather, Jace Jordon, has offered to take her under his roof and serve as her legal guardian, despite the fact that she will be eighteen before she even moves into his home. With no other choice if she wants to stay out of jail, Celeste accepts the judge’s offer, even though it means that until the age of twenty-one she will be under the authority of a man she has never even met.

Expecting her godfather to be a stuffy old man, Celeste is pleasantly surprised to find that he is barely over thirty, and moreover, he is quite well-to-do. The strict rules she is expected to obey come as a much less pleasant surprise, however. When she discovers how Jace deals with disobedient young ladies, she is truly shocked. Eighteen or not, she soon learns that bad behavior will earn her a long, hard, bare bottom spanking.

As time passes, though, Celeste begins to see Jace as much more than just a strict guardian. Although he initially resists his feelings, Jace too begins to see Celeste in a different light. When he begins to reveal his interest in dominance and submission to the feisty young woman who shares his home, their relationship begins to grow dramatically, but where will things lead?

Publisher’s Note: Guardian Domination is an erotic novel that includes both consensual and non-consensual spankings, anal play, exhibitionism, graphic sexual scenes, and more. If such material offends you, don’t buy this book.

I’m a native Californian gone 'wild', and had the opportunity to travel the globe and discover the world through the eyes of both a Marine Intelligence specialist and a BDSM lifestyler. I left the service to go into pediatric hospice nursing and grief counseling, eventually working as a marriage and family therapist for those involved in alternative lifestyle development. This experience has allowed me to gain unique inspiration for my books and provide realistic plots and relatable characters.

My first book, The Game Plan, was published in 2012 and opened the door to the now-booming world of Age-Play literature. Since that time, I’ve devoted my ‘spare’ time to writing, researching, community involvement, and private and group pro bono counseling in deviant behavior, alternative lifestyle, and addiction recovery.

I was formally ‘dungeon trained’ as a Domme before discovering my submissive side when I joined the service. My scenarios are pulled primarily from either personal experience or observation, including spending time in clubs as the safety/medical officer. My multi-faceted background allows me to glean from many avenues and provides a unique and intelligent literary experience through elements of fantasy and fiction. I also address the questions and psychology of the lifestyle in a manner that is fun and informative, and based on 'the real deal'.

I live with my husband, musician, and fellow-author, John Hayse, and two border collies in southern California. We practice a 24/7 D&S relationship with speckles of AP (and many trips to Build-A-Bear), and happily spend every moment together that we can. My hobbies include my puppies, hiding my vanilla salt-water taffy where John can't find it, exotic art, collecting inspirational trinkets, and developing my own paddle line. This is kind of a hard novel to explain. Oh, and beware of spoilers - not bad ones, but ...

When our story begins, 17-year-old Celeste has tried to burn her school down. This girl is a mess. A terrible home life has left her unloved and angry and with absolutely no ability to control her emotions. And now that her Father has been sent to prison, she doesn't have much of a future. Until her Godfather is contacted and he agrees to give her a home - as long as she agrees that he will be her legal guardian until she turns 21. So without much choice, she agrees and goes to live with Jace.

Early on, it is more of a Domestic Discipline novel. When she misbehaves, he spanks her. When she disobeys, he spanks her. When she... oh, you get it. And it had bit of age-play although it was more like treating an 18-year-old as a 15-year-old. And it wasn't just spanking every time they went to the "Second Drawer." Or the birching scenes - yes, I did say birching.

But then it gets weird. First Mark, a member of Jace's band, comes to live with them as her tutor. And Mark spanks her as well. Then we find out about Gayle, who is Mark's submissive and his girlfriend. Eventually Ben, Celeste's classmate, joins the merry cast.

So it turns out that Jace and Mark are Doms. And not just any sort of Doms. They have a whole harem of young women who come to them for discipline. Jace says at one point he has 10 trainees. That was kind of fanciful, but I didn't mind it. I wasn't much into The Room though, which shouldn't surprise anyone who has read my reviews.

What bothered me more was some of the all women need this discipline and all men want to do this sort of stuff. Uh, no, they don't. Some of us do and it isn't fair to judge us. But it isn't fair to judge those that don't want to, either.

The funniest part was that Jace was so concerned over the age difference and Mark that Celeste was too young. Someone should buy them a copy of Owning Wednesday.

It might be nice to have a sequel featuring Ben at some point.

Custodian of Spanking!

The publisher makes it clear in the synopsis what is included in this book and states "if you don't like it don't buy it! Simple? what it doesn't tell you is that the spanking practically happens in every page!

Celest Bronston finds herself lumbered with a guardian after another run-in with the law. She is given on final chance by the judge, behave or else!. Jace Jordan, her godfather, becomes her legal guardian (he is thirtyish and she is almost 18). With no other choice and if Celest wants to stay out of jail she has to accept the judge's offer and by doing so will remain under the authority of Jace Jordan until she turns 21.

Well this is where the book becomes "interesting" Celest thinks Jace is over the hill and is pleasantly surprised to find out that he is young and handsome. What she didn't account for is the way Jace deals with young women who are disobedient. She finds out very quickly that her bad behaviour earns her a LONG spanking. (honestly I don't know how she manages to sit down as these are real humdingers).

Eventually Celest sees Jace in a very different light and she finds out that Jace is not immune to her as he makes out to be. He reveals his interest in dominance and submission to the feisty young woman and of course she wants to submit.

So if you want to read a story about a guardian who enjoys non-consensual spankings, anal play, exhibitionism(yeah public spanking included), sexual scenes (wouldn't say they are graphic) then by all means buy this book.

Me? Well I am sure I shouldn't have found this remotely funny but c'mon? the spanking was just unbelievable. No person could take this amount of punishment an walk unless you have an a$$ of hide!

DNF!

The blurb looked so promissing, but I couldn't get into the story. I quite at about 70% of the book. I didn't like the characters. They didn't develope enough in my opinion. Celeste misbehaves, gets spanked. Does it again, gets spanked, caned or paddled. Etc. Etc. Etc. Boring!

This was a very different genre read for me, it involves corporal punishment as a form of training. I am ok with the whole BDSM element in books, but this one had me cringing when reading certain pages.
I believe there's a 14? year age differences between Jace and Celeste (which I am ok with) but since Celeste behavior, attitude and actions all point to the fact that she's still an immature child I couldn't help but think of her as a spoil young 13 year old and that was just a bit creepy when Jace had her over his laps bare bottom fully exposed for spankings.
Celeste is a Ward of the state until she's 21 and through out the book she keeps crying " I am 18, I am an adult, stop treating me like a child" yet every move she made proves how immature and selfish she is. When left alone she would do stupid things to get herself in trouble and then blames people by saying " I was bored, its your fault for leaving me alone and not spending time with me" she did this through out the whole book and there was no sign toward the end that she even matured a little. ( I hated her character and at certain point of the book I was hoping that this was an action/thriller book and someone would shot her dead.)
Very little thought was put into this when forming the characters, the author spent more then half of the book explaining the good that comes from a M/S relationships with little actions from the character to back up her theory. OverallI would rate this book a 1 1/2 stars only because I adored Mark who was a secondary character.

I had mixed feeling about it. There is an age play element, because the ward regresses emotional a few years by her guardian's treatment of a young woman (17-21). But he is reparenting a young woman brought up poorly in foster care. She is a wild child when he takes control of her and gently reprograms her though spanking and a tight daily education.

They grow to love each other, but he doesn't take advantage of her devotion till she is an adult woman.

The story holds your attention. There is a sweet element in this mainly domestic discipline romance.

A decently hot read. The story line was simple, no complications with likable characters. Some scenarios were slightly unbelievable, reality had to be suspended while reading. None of them were deeply developed, nor were explanations given for their actions. Eg. Jace didn't want to have sex with Celeste before her 21st bday, but suddenly they are having anal sex and he even proposes to her. You know where the story is going, no surprises. On the whole a pleasant read about domestic discipline.

I'm usually into the whole domestic discipline story plot, but this one was just tiresome. The female main character was just obnoxious and the mistakes she made were stupid. I made myself finish it, but halfway through I was just skimming it. I like my domestic discipline books to have a sensible plot to it and a reason for the scenes, not just a girl making really stupid choices that most real people wouldn't make.

It's hard not to love the stong alpha men in Ms. Hayse's books and Jace is one of my favorites. Celeste, on the other hand, is one of my least favorite submissives in the many books I have read of hers. She behaves badly (duh, right? That's the point of the story, taking a poorly behaved girl and retraining her to understand consequences can be both good and bad) throughout most of the book and rather than treat her like a woman, Jace treats her like a girl. Something about all of that just didn't click with me and I love age play and D/s stories. Some chemistry seemed to be lacking for me I guess. All in all, it comes together for a HEA/HFN in the end. While not my favorite of Breanna's books, I would still recommend it for those interested in reading more on age play and the D/s dynamic.

Normally Hayse's work is quite enjoyable. She was one of the first authors I read in this genre.
But Guardian Domination just did not work for me.
I really tried to see this from a different perspective but I just could not do it
Jace takes Celeste in with the intention of correcting her behavior and giving her a new chance at life.
What he fails to mention until partway into the story line is that he saw her submissive potential and decided - without her knowledge or consent - and while she was still emotionally vulnerable -to begin training her.
The corporal punishment, as well as the humiliation IMO, was needlessly excessive. I am amazed the young girl was even able to walk. 160 spanks for her birthday just from him? Just for chits and giggles?
I enjoyed some of the supporting characters but just was not able to connect with Jace or fall into the story line.

The starting was promising to me because I love a good gardian-ward themed books but this story didn't had the peak, it was like I'm climbing a mountain to go to the top, but in reality I was climbing a plateau that's how I felt. I was expecting some peak, some intesity, but I didn't find it so it was disappointing. The whole story was bland.
The whole story was same throughout the 30% to the end, every chapter is similar. Their relationship felt like telling rather than showing. And there was not much character development in my opinion.
Could have been much better.

So enjoyable!

So very good to see a young man stepping up to take on the task of a younger woman in need of guidance. What Celeste needed most was to know that he wouldn’t leave her like everyone else in her life had.

I'm not going to lie, I was pretty disappointed by the ending. This book could have been so much better had the author at least written an epilogue about the wedding, but she didn't. She ended it with Jace and Celeste, finally, having actual intercourse and the two of them getting engaged, but there was no mention of the wedding. I wanted to read about it. :(

Overall though, I found this book to be really good. I'm becoming quite fond of this author. I read her other book "Lost and Found" and loved it and decided to read this. I also read "The Game Plan" first and though it was quite good I found myself getting bored during the second half and haven't finished it yet. But overall this author seems to write decent books.
The spankings in this story were really too much though. There were times when she got 100+ (once even over 200) spankings and alot of times with various instruments. It was kind of unrealistic because, seriously, nobody can be spanked that much as often as she is. There were also many times when I felt that the punishment didn't fit the crime, which made me angry. I guess Breanna Hayse just has a spanking fetish? Whatever, this is erotica, and most erotica never surpasses 'good'. I don't mean that as an insult to the author, it's just the way it is. When every chapter features some sexual scene or another and that's basically what the book revolves around, it's not going to be perfect. However, I do like this book. I adored Jace and Celeste's relationship. Celeste could be very whiny and bratty but surprisingly it didn't annoy me as much as it usually does when characters are like this. Jace handled it really well and I thought they were a good balance. I also adored the other significant characters: Mark, Gayle, and later on, Ben. Usually when I read erotica I'm uncomfortable when the Dom decides to let someone else spank the sub/witness it/join in if they aren't in some kind of ménage/polyamorous relationship (because I have a very vivid imagination and the secondhand embarrassment kills me), especially without talking to the sub first, but I didn't feel that way reading this. There was just something about the characters that made it okay. I don't think I would even have a problem with letting them witness me getting my butt spanked. They have a way of making you feel safe and comfortable instead of awkward and like you're going to die from the humiliation. I also HATE it when some other sub is introduced (because I prefer it to be all about the heroine without the competition) but I just loved Gayle. She was so sweet and caring and she really looked out for Celeste. Honestly, I just loved all of the characters. Aside from the ending I think the author did a really good job and I'll definitely be looking forward to reading more work from her.

I admit, I am not the best choice to review this book. I finally settled on a 3 star rating, despite at times wanting to rate it 2 stars, although to be fair it probably deserved to be closer to 4. I’m confused on how to categorize this book. It’s not what I consider to be erotica as there is very little sex in it, and is not my idea of romance. This book is primarily geared towards those in the D/s lifestyle with a hardcore spanking fetish, neither of which describes me. There just seemed to be never ending scenes of spanking that I really found to be off putting.

However, I must admit that the author has a knack for really weaving a story. I found myself unable to put the book down even with all the cringing I seemed to be doing every other page. I found the characters to be likeable, even during the times I didn’t like them much at all. I know, that sentence really doesn’t make sense whatsoever and speaks of the confusing mush my brain was in as I continued to read. I just really wanted Celeste to punch them out several times, even though I know it’s not that type of story. Lol, I definitely would not make a good submissive.

The whole thing has a “lite” feel to it, in that every character, random or otherwise, seems to be in the lifestyle or Dom/sub wannabes and is accepting of everything which takes a bit of realism out of the story, and reads vaguely Hallmark (a phrase I never thought I would apply to a BDSM novel). This, I guess, made the story more bearable for me, and reduced my normal expected anger at such scenes to mere eye rolls. So much so that I could see myself reading more from this author even in spite of the subject matter.

Celeste is really at the end of the road and this is her very last chance to save herself. Jace is not the guardian she was expected but he is certainly what she needs. The slow development of the relationship even though you can see where it's headed is nice. It was just as important that Celeste grow to love and trust not just the people in her life but herself as well.

PS I think Ben needs to find his own HEA with a girl he can bring into this wonderful circle of "family".

Story line was realistic, enjoyable, fast moving read. The affects of spanking are explored. After working with troubled teenagers, the author stretches and stresses a thin line in the relationship between Jace and Celeste. Jace remains very appropriate while Celeste matures, however, spanking a bared bottom troubled teenager was a concern for me.

Strongest work

This is the most engrossing piece of work on the D/s subject. It is mesmerizing and filled with such depth that it is work of superior nature. It dispels all the "vanilla" versions of the D/s world's. Here is an opportunity to learn and read from one of the best!

On a hotness scale, this is a 1. I thought it was supposed to be more of an erotic DD story.
