Tre was proving to be far more than a distraction. Oh, my lord. When I first met him in little Yazoo City, Mississippi, I thought he was a hot guy who could give me a good time for a day or two.
I'm discovering now how very wrong I was. The question is, will my past, and the man from it, allow me the luxury of choosing?
**This is an explicit, erotic novella for adults only! Contains super hot, one on one sex between two great characters.**
Jasinda Wilder is a New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and USA Today bestselling author of more than 100 titles including the #1 Amazon bestseller Falling Into You, the Audie Award-winning (best audiobook) Alpha, and the beloved, 17-book Badd Brothers series. She and her husband Jack Wilder have sold more than 7 million copies and have been translated into more than 20 languages worldwide. You can find them at their fairy tale cottage by a lake somewhere in Michigan with their 6 kids, 5 dogs, 2 cats, 2 bunnies, and way too many ducks and chickens.
So... to continue my Jasinda Wilder love feast, I decided to pick up these three very short books. Shea broke in the innocent Preacher's Son, Tre and there was really not a whole lot to the storyline except the sexual awakening of a young man. That was good enough for me to devour this series and have a serious...LB the whole time!
I Picked Up This Book Because: Continue the series.
The Characters:
Shea Harley: Tre McNabb:
The Story:
My goodness these two could not take 3 steps without having sex. It was seriously just too much. Any bit of story was overshadowed by sex. Also what dumb decision making. Why steal the ex husband's car? What about her car? Just unexplainably dumb. I was enjoying the series but this book really put a dent in that.
Loved this series, Oh my god...Tre's so dreamy, so sexy and so playful!! But besides all the naughty play, he's so very sweet and protective...Shea's a pretty lucky gal!!! She found herself THE best partner ever, always so risky, protective, loving...*sighs* When there's love, age doesn't matter...when there's love, there's nothing that can tear people apart...when there's love, everything's right, isn't it???
After reading all 3 books, I feel in love :-)
This is a must ladies...buy it or borrow it, but read it...it is so good, you won't be dissapointed...
Now that I have finally finished reading this series, I have a lot of things in mind. Specifically, I have a lot of questions in mind.
I was thinking that the last installment would pretty much give us an epilogue or at the very least, tie up loose ends of the story. But sadly, that just did not happen. Or if it did, it was presented in a generic manner I pretty much missed it. This book just talked about their As expected, this series has an HEA, but I can't help but ask now what?
This series has a lot of potentials. I even imagine it to have longer pages, especially if more pages were dedicated to the conflict and how our MCs overcome them. But, if you are just in for the smutfest, this series can definitely give you that.
I am a huge Jasinda Wilder fan. I anxiously look forward to starting her books.
This series just did not give me the greatest, hard to describe, umph. Although the new love and sexual awakening was wonderful and the love that showed was great. As a child growing up in the church and a close knit church community I found it hard to believe that this hot guy, even a preachers kid, at that age that went to a public school despite it being a small town, was that naïve.
Bing Dictionary na·ive [ naa v ] 1.extremely simple and trusting: having or showing an excessively simple and trusting view of the world and human nature, often as a result of youth and inexperience 2.not shrewd or sophisticated: showing a lack of sophistication and subtlety or of critical judgment and analysis 3.artless: admirably straightforward and uncomplicated or refreshingly innocent and unaffected
Tre was certainly trusting, innocent because of his inexperience but he wouldn't be simple. He was old enough to start looking at the world a little different. I just felt he came across as lacking any intellectual ability making her seem like a woman going after a child. Did I like the story, yes but not as much as the others. So my rating is 3 stars. He should have had been portrayed as intelligent but innocent.
When I started reading this series the song Mrs Robinson by Lemonheads popped into my head and was stuck there the entire read. LOL
In a nutshell, a young and naive preachers son is seduced by an older woman.
All 3 books are short and get straight to the point, and so the progression of this story is very fast. Books 2 and 3 continue on where the last one left off and therefore you need to read them in order.
I didn't find myself swooning over the male character, Tre, but for me that was because he was young and naive when it came to women and sex. Shea came across as a total cougar and I was waiting for her to growl. :-D They were a likeable couple though.
As it's an erotic novella series there are some seriously steamy loves scenes that are for adults eyes only. I'm happy to report that there isn't an insta-love aspect in this story but more so an insta-lust. Their love grows over the progression of the 3 stories.
My only gripe is that I found it a little corny at the start, otherwise it isn't a bad read if you looking for a complete fantasy story or a good "quickie". ;-)
Oh the title alone should was enough to know it was going to be a steamy book. It's so hot when an older women seduce a younger man especially a smok'n hot virgin! I felt bad for Tre since it seemed Shea didn't have any regard for his future knowing what would happen after she seduced him. It however was made clear it was Tre's choice and it was a choice that was coming wether it was her or not. Well after that it just got steamier from there. They couldn't keep their hands off of each other. Trouble comes along and Tre turns out to be more than the hot sexy preachers son. The last book an event happens that changes everything. You will have to read to find out if Shea ends up falling in love with Tre or if it's just a sex thing. Lot and Lots of sex throughout. Ending was fabulous!

"Unbroken" is the super short finale of The Preacher's Son Series. I am a bit disappointed with the ending. Shea is an interesting character. I wish there was a bit more character development with Tre and Shea. I can only imagine how scandalous Shea's past was and all the baggage that comes with it. I'm very interested in learning more about Tre and his "religious" upbringing. My only complaint is the lack of story. Steamy - yes!! But a story or plot line would have been great too. I love Ms. Wilder's writing style and her books that I have read prior.
I wish I could rate it 3.5 stars because it doesn't deserve the 4 stars perse. Anyway, this book was a down because I expected something much more wow. The problem with his ex-husband resolved pretty fast and without us knowing. The last two chapters skip some time I didn't kind of understand. The only up sides were the action scenes, the hot streamy sex scenes and obviously the end, it was cliche, just how I love them. Apart from all, I like the books and I don't regret reading them.
“The burst of pure happiness? The one I said earlier people couldn't handle if they had it all the time? I was wrong. You can be truly, purely happy. There are moments of strife, of course. Arguments over misspoken words, ill-thought decisions, the usual things that make up life. Happiness, I've discovered, is a choice, a habit. It's a mindset.”

mmmm .. I think both characters got more than enough depth ;)
The first 21 pages I believe was used to set the foundation for the two following installments. It gives the reader an opportunity to build a solid base in which they can form a strong opinion/s, to either persecute or celebrate and enjoy the fireworks.
I agree with you that these two are "great together" and "very very HOT" and with this surely this book was worthy of 3 BIG stars
2.5 nearly 3 stars I just can't quite say I liked it. In it's completed state it was better than just OK though. I do often find these short reads a little light on story and depth of characters that I tend to go for and often slighty imbalanced when it comes to story vs sex. But there's nothing wrong with a quick HOT steamy fix!
I did enjoy how it ended up for them, there was an interesting twist and they did end up being great together and like I said, very, VERY HOT!
Unbroken by Jasinda Wilder was another great part in The Preacher's Son series. What started as a fling and distraction is becoming much more. Tre and Shea find themselves in some tough situations but they find a way to find happiness and love. I loved reading this series and part three definitely didnt disappoint. If you like Jasinda Wilder's writing, this is a must read.
So this is another series that I'm finishing. I like to read more about their future, but normally these books aren't the ones you get to read much information.
But I got to read a bit in this book. And I loved it, their together, they never let each other down, just like how it's supposed to be in relationships.
I was happy with how this series went, I would have given this one a 5 star but I was hoping for a little more from Dan then it had. Even without it though it was a great series one I will definitely recommend in the future as I do with most of Jasinda's books. She is one of my favorites to read.
Well, I enjoyed this series. But again, it's not my favorite. Mostly because I'm not comfortable with Shea's attitude. And I feel this story needs more wham-bam, you know what I mean?
Tre and Shea escape her ex in his vehicle, have sex in public, fly off to a tropical paradise, have sex in the plane bathroom, and the hotel elevator and live happily ever after.
Sexy encounters and kind of silly but a good guilty pleasure read.
Ahhhh such a great short story. I enjoyed it. It was short and filled with love, lovin, a little drama and Shea and Tre growing together. I loved their little life at the end.
Wow what an ending to a very cool & sexy story.... Really never expected to turns & twists and hot sex that concluded this story but was a fitting end to a great series....
