Home Again

Rate this book
Jane Marsh, a small-town journalist in Massachusetts, is six feet tall, single, and harboring a crush on the town’s much shorter Chief of Police, Bill Hershberg. When her childhood best friend, Eliza, comes home again after a brutal attack in New York City, Jane begins to research past, unsolved crimes in their town. What she discovers convinces her that another horrible kidnapping will occur on Halloween Eve. In digging through the memories and facts, Jane also realizes that Eliza may have vital information, if only she can be convinced to revisit their painful early childhood. When Jane’s worse fears are realized, she discovers that coming home again means that she must accept the truth, despite the personal suffering it brings.

Scary fairy tale

Suspenseful read. Decent writing but I can't say I liked the ending. I had guessed who did it long before the book revealed it but the explanation of why wasn't enough for me.

Very fast paced! Good book. The "villain" was a little disturbing. I figure out who it was but was it was interesting to know the why.
