How To Love A Princess
Love exploded into the sheltered life of Princess Catherine de'Ariggo when she met Nicolas Vecca. But duty calls Catherine to sacrifice that love. Now, years later, she must be strong once more. Can she ignore the whisperings of her heart and stand firm in her convictions? Trusting in Nicolas, loving him, is a risk she dare not take.
When Nicolas sees Catherine again, he thinks he's looking at a ghost. Either that, or he has been cruelly deceived. Haunted love turns to hate. But even as he determines to remain unforgiving, his heart refuses to forget.

I couldn't put this down once I started, which to me is a sign of a well-written book. I loved the author's voice and the controlled way the emotions of the characters were conveyed. No melodrama, just pure drama. With the makings of a modern-day fairy tale, a strong and irresistible hero, this book is one I would recommend to anyone who loves a good romance with a little twist.

I found it kind of lame to be honest. There was nothing super exciting about it that captured my attention.

I think the premise was extremely contrived. It was written well enough that I finished it and at moments thought the story was ok. I am not sure if it would have been better if the characters were built out a little more or if it was a bit more realistic.

Eng: Do you know the feeling when your mind keeps focusing on something and doesn’t let you do anything else? From the moment I read the synopsis of this book, that was what happened to me. Simple for some and common for others, to me, this was a story that brought me back to my teenage years when I was allowed to dream. Since a very young age I’ve become fascinated with the subject of this book. Princes and Princesses, forbidden love, duty above feelings… for so many people all of this is difficult to understand, but for others it is still so real…
This was a story that reminded me of the many books I read on those younger years and that Harlequin keeps publishing nowadays. I see it as a light novel, with a straightforward plot, that anyone could read smoothly. Plus, I find it to be a very well written story, with a lot of care from the author. In my opinion, books don’t necessarily need to have heavy themes to be great or to be impeccably written. For me, even simple stories need care and attention from authors, and I believe Robyns showed, in this book, all that and much more.
Although I liked all the characters, I especially loved Nicolas, who despite having plenty of reasons to abandon Catherine, still fought for what he believed and for who he truly cared about. Many were the times that I wanted to put myself in the middle of them and tell to that spoiled princess who did everything to take her ideas forward a few not so sweet words. Catherine, who at first seemed to be the perfect protagonist suddenly became a person who despite having reasons to act that way, sometimes exaggerated and made took on decisions capable of overcoming a 10 year-old girl, and maybe that was the secret, the reason that made me want to turn the page and follow the story through the end.
With a lot of romance and a bit of mystery, this book was an excellent company for me in these long, cold winter nights.

Recomendo!

Decent plot but needs an editor
She had a great idea going but it just never quite got there. It read like the third draft...that needed about fifteen more edits. I started to skim in order to finish the book. Just a lot of discombobulation (e.g., the man is grasping the woman by her arms and then he's reaching for her) and no consistent pov (e.g., we're in the daughter's head while she talks to her mom and in one sentence we're in the mom's head...as she thinks about her daughter...then never again).
If you want a half day love story fraught with lots of inner turmoil and unexplained history (they're in a country...somewhere...that's small...and sometimes has a king...And there's some kind of mine they're protecting, though at any moment they could be attacked and they'd lose...but no one attacks), then this is the book for you. :)

'Ever so often,he saw lingering traces in her eyes of the love he'd once believed in.Sometimes, he'd catch her unawares, looking at him with an intensity that hitched his pulse,as if she were trying to capture his image, her heart the camera, her soul the flash'.
I got this book for free on my Kindle and really enjoyed reading it. It was a short, and easy read, but also full of mystery to keep you interested.
Nicolas and Catherine have a wonderful relationship, drawn together mercilessly, but both trying to deny their feelings to each other, and to themselves.
I recommend this to anyone looking for a short but enjoyable read. The story is unique and keeps you turning the page (or tapping your e-reader screen) to see what will happen next.

1.5 stars.
Boring enough to be less than 2 stars, but 1 star is probably too harsh considering I finished it. Was very close to DNF'ing it though. It's due to luck more than anything that I didn't. I just happened to have a busy week and not a lot of reading time so it didn't bother me that I was reading something slow.

I was truly surprised by this book and the direction it took. A fascinating romance with interesting characters. I absolutely adored the hero and was rooting for him all the way and I loved the ending.

Cute story--I thought the reason that the heroine leaves the hero was a bit silly (maybe some further explanation on that one?) but overall, it was a sweet story.

This is a story that is a wonderful read, one of those stories where you curl up on the couch with a blanket and sit back and relax and release your mind and enter in to the story itself

A predictable, but still enjoyable, romance.
