About the author

Sujatha was the allonym of the Tamil author S. Rangarajan, Author of over 100 novels, 250 short stories, ten books on science, ten stage plays, and a slim volume of poems. He was one of the most popular authors in Tamil literature, and a regular contributor to topical columns in Tamil periodicals such as Ananda Vikatan, Kumudam and Kalki. He had a wide readership, and served for a brief period as the editor of Kumudam, and has also written screenplays and dialogues for several Tamil movies.

As an engineer, he supervised the design and production of the electronic voting machine (EVM) during his tenure at Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), a machine which is currently used in elections throughout India. As an author he inspired many authors, including Balakumaran, Madhan.

வழக்கமாக கதையில் நடைபெறும் நிகழ்வுகள் ஆர்வமூடுபவையாக இருக்கும் போது தான் படிப்பவருக்கு அது ஆர்வமூட்டுவதாய் இருக்கும் ஆனால் சுஜாதாவின் எழுத்து இயல்பாகவே அந்த ஆர்வமூட்டும் தன்மை கொண்டது. எழுத்திலேயே அத்தைனை நவீனம் (இன்றும்), நடையிலேயே அத்தனை புதுமை (கதையின் பெயரிலேயே எத்தனை புதுமை பாருங்கள்). திடுக்கிடும் திருப்பங்கள் வேண்டாம் அந்த எழுத்தே போதும் எல்லோரையும் கடைசி வரை படிக்கச் செய்ய.
இந்தக்கதை ஒரு பெண்ணின் இன்னல்களை சொல்கிறது.

Before reading this book, I read another book named 'Moondru Naal Sorgam' of Sujatha.. He had written an epilogue saying how he started writing and stopped writing such Crime-Pocket novels.

The specialty about such Novels of Sujatha is that, it teaches a reader to become a story writer. His awesome strength is describing an incident that happened in a very short span of time (Or Iravu, Oru Rayilil).

In the Epilogue of this book, he had told he stopped writing for 'Kanayazhi' magazine after seeing the response to this serial story.

Story line is good and even great in his short novels. But, not much educative/entertaining. Climax especially does not give much fulfillment to the readers.

I have decided not to waste time by reading any such Pocket Novels of anyone unless and until I have no other option!

ஒரு தேதியைப்பற்றிய சிந்தனை, அதனுள் புதைந்து கிடக்கும் சோகம், ஆசை, வெறி, மயக்கம். எல்லாம் ஒன்று சேர்ந்து ஒரு பெண்ணின் எண்ணங்களை பேச வைக்கும் கதை. மார்வலஸ்!!!

This book "6961" is about a woman who s been brought up in hardship and searches for true love of someone. The story narration was awesome but story dint run curious throughout the book.
